DSI installed ductwork, furnace, and 10 SEER A-coil when our house was built, and by all accounts, did an excellent job. The builder waited to install the condenser, and by the time we bought and moved in, the builder had stiffed DSI on other jobs and they would not work for him. But DSI gave me an estimate on a 13 SEER condenser and a new 13 SEER A-coil. They also helped me a lot as I built an anti-theft cage for the condenser. When the builder finally paid me money in lieu of the condenser, I contacted DSI for the work. I thought there was only one kind of American Standard condenser, but I later found out (not from DSI) that there are various grades, and DSI had bid on the builder's grade (without telling us). When they came to install, the techs did not knock on the door to let us know they were here, and one worker was smoking. I asked them to knock and stop smoking, and they got in the van and left. I called DSI, and they said they wouldn't do the work because I had been rude.
