All Brands Service Inc. services all furnance and air condictioner equiptment. We also service humidifiers, hot water heaters, and install water filter systems. We offer installation services on all equitment.
HORRIBLE service. While the units were under warranty they seemed to ignore calls for service. They rarely showed for appointments that they themselves made. I would not recommend this company to anyone even as a last resort. The repairs lasted about as long as them to pull out of the driveway. My parents were completely taken advantage of by this company. I cannot blame our poor experience on the technicians but the owner David Otto. When the units were purchased in 2007 the salesman said they would take care of registering the units providing a ten year parts and labor warranty. Upon checking with the manufacturer (Goodman) the units were never registered. Because the units were not registered within 60 days of installation the warranties were reduced to five years. Contact this company at your own risk. I think you will regret calling them or choosing them for any type of service. They do offer a service plan and will gladly accept payment. My experience is they do not respond to service or maintenance calls even if they set the appointment date and time. AWFUL experience.

All Brands Service is punctual. They are at your house when they say they will be there. That is important to me as time is very valueable to me on a busy schedule. The technician had all the tools he needed to fix my hot water heater and the experience to get it done quickly. I am very pleased overall with the service I recieved from All Brands Service Inc.
Description of Work: I found water leaking downstairs on my basement floor, and saw it was coming from my hot water heater. I called All Brands Service Inc and they got my on schedule same day!! The technician is nice and very professional. He fixed my hot water heater and cleaned up the mess to boot!! I am very pleased with thier service and will have them back for my air condictioner.

All Brands replaced the furnace and AC in our house in 2001. Their bid was way expensive, but they seemed competent and professional, so we chose them. We enrolled in a maintanence agrrement with them at the same time. A few bad experiences have happened since: 1) The AC quit a few summers back. The All Brands technician said that the outside condenser unit was shot, and that I needed a whole new unit, to the tune of $3000. I called in another service company for a second opinion, and they had the unit repaired in an hour or less for $150. 2) The most recent time the furnace was serviced (as part of the service agreement), the technician replaced the humidifer element and tried to charge $38 for doing so. Per prior agreement, All Brands was not to service the humidifer. The technician then removed the new element, at my insistence, and left. A week or so later, when the humidity got low due to cold weather and the humidifier was turned on, the humidifier leaked a whole lot of water into the furnce unit, costing right at $600 to repair. And no, I did not have All Brands do the repair. I was finished with them by this time. 3) Based on #1 and #2 above, I sent a letter to All Brands and told them to discontinue our membership in, and all billing for, the service agreement. After receiving this letter, All Brands once again billed the monthly service plan to my credit. I let that slide, since they had just received my letter not too many days earlier. Another month goes by, and they charge my credit card again. I'm told by owner david Otto that he was sorry and would credit the card as soon as he got back to the office. A few weeks go by, and still no credit. I call David again (very agnry this time) and he tells me "I just want what's owed me." What?!? Let's talk about what's owed and to whom it's owed. All Brands damaged my furnace to the tune of $600.
Description of Work: 1) Replacement of entire furnace and AC unit. 2) Various repairs over the years. 3) Various seasonal tune-ups over the years.

[member name removed], I wanted to respond to your post. As to the price you paid for the system you chose which there were four options given to you, it was $6,364.00 We have done service for you for years and always been prompt and punctual, including not just the maint. every year twice a year, but also the time you needed the blower motor replaced on your furnace 05/14/2004 which we did at no cost to you. As for your #1 point that is simply as far as I know not accurate and I have no documentation nor did I recieve a call from you on it in the past. As for #2 point in oct. of 2012 with your humidifier that you have chosen to service yourself that you said leaked on the furnace and damaged something that you did not let us know about to be able to take care of for you which if it was our fault would have as in the past taken care of for you at no cost. It is hard for me to know let alone make it right if I do not know. As for #3 with your sevice plan that you signed up for about ten years ago for, you paid monthly $11.95 which muliplied times 12 equals $143.40 per year. Which comes out to be $71.70 per visit . On your very first visit we started charging the 11.95 per month which means it is not paid in full until 6 months later, which is how it has always worked. Thefore as I explained to you on the phone I quit charging you after 6 payments after your last visit on the furnace. I am sorry if there is a problem that you have with All Brands Service at this time, but it has never been brought to my attention until reading this post. We have been in this business since 1991 doing the same thing and try to do it to the best possible we can and have always had and still have thousands of satisfied long term clients even to 2nd and 3rd generation. Up until the last two years we had excellent service, however the last couple years it has changed and this the reason the service agreement is being canceled. Listed below are some of the things that have occurred: * When we signed up for the service agreement we would have $29.95 deducted through Electronic Funds Transfer from our checking account per month. In the last two years the amount and time it is deducted has been very inconsistent. Several months will go by with no withdraws and nothing would be deducted and then one big lump sum would be withdrawn from our account for the next month. * Last spring in May our air conditioner was filled with refrigerant by All Brands due to a small leak in the system. In August our air conditioner again was showing signs of running low on refrigerant. We called All Brands out to look at it and we were told the system was plugged, one line was pulling a vacuum and the other line was pressurized. We were told the whole unit needed replacing. We then hired another HVAC company to look at it and they added 2 lbs of refrigerant and the unit worked fine for the rest of the summer. * Under the service agreement we are suppose to get priority service, however we did not get the call for our annual furnace maintenance till the end of November. In addition we never received our annual air-conditioner maintenance for last year The only service that was performed on our air-conditioner was the refrigerant added to the system in May in which we made the call and paid for the service. * Another item of the service agreement was any residual balance at the end of the year would go into a fund to go against the amount for a new system. After getting quote from several HVAC companies the All Brands quote was about 50% higher than all the other quotes! In addition All Brands informed us they would need to rent a back-hoe, an additional cost, to level out a portion of our back yard next to the outside crawl space opening to install the new system, our system is under the house. All the other companies said no back-hoe was needed; the ground was level enough for installation. One final note: since the first January I have been unable to reach All Brands to cancel my service contract. At the beginning of January I sent All Brands a certified letter by USPS stating I wanted to terminate my service contract and included a money order for January's payment of $29.95 as a courtesy. The letter was never signed for and later returned to us by the USPS. I have sent a letter to All Brands through the web site on the contact page, (they does not give their email address), left a voice message on their phone and tried to fax them (their fax machine will not answer) and January's amount was still removed from account automatically from our checking account.
Description of Work: We had a service contract with All Brands for preventative maintenance for our Heating and A/C units for a few years. We were charged $29.95 per month and they would check our A/C in the spring and Furnace in the fall. Any residual balance would go into an account for a new system. Also with this service contract we received priority service.
