 + -1 moreThey did a good job of snaking; they didn't do a good job on communicating with me afterwards. He talked to the renters but he never talked to us about what needed to be done. He did a great, 10 minute job. He was fast and they did show up when they said they would.
Description of Work: Reddi Services went to my rental property and check a toilet line. We bought two Big Deals, one for our house and one for our rental property.

In the past, before we had Angie's List, we had had a different service and they charged us way more and didn't tell us that the blockage was on city property and not ours. This company called the city because they were responsible for the fixing. They were very honest and we really appreciated that. They got the job done well and effectively.
Description of Work: We had Reddi Services come out and they rootered the sewer line and found out where the blockage was.

There was a follow up visit at my request as I wanted to make sure the sounds I was hearing from the now working sumo pump were OK- the pump was just fine and I wasn't charged for the follow up visit. I would definitely use this company again.

 + -1 moreProvider showed up on time, evaluated both problems quickly, and fixed both issues in less than an hour. In addition to the $66 Angie's list coupon for one hour of labor, I was charged $107 for parts which I personally think is a huge mark up. I do however admit that I know absolutely nothing about plumbing, that's why I called these guys. I was very pleased with the plumber's work and his ability to speak to me in layman's terms about the plumbing problems. He didn't need the complete hour and was sure to ask if there was anything else that needed to be done before he left.
Description of Work: Replaced a pipe under a leaky bathroom sink and fixed a slow filling toilet.

 + -1 moreI felt like this company ripped me off. I decided to get a second opinion. I felt deceived and they did not even clean the outside of my A/C unit, which most A/C companies do.
Description of Work: I decided to use this company because I had a $59.00 coupon. They checked my air conditioning unit and then kept adding things that needed fixed on my air conditioner. They said I needed freeon and quoted me for just a pound and a half. He then ended up using seven pounds, which cost me $420.00. They then told me that I may have a leak in my air conditioner and wanted to charge me another $200.00. I decided to get a second opinion because this just did not sound right to me.

 + 0 moreThere were three separate jobs. The first was replacement of a sump pump, and installation of a new battery back-up. For this job, Jim advised me to replace a sump pump that was several years old, because it was not kicking on regularly, and the back-up battery was dead. His advice turned out to be timely---the pump was replaced just before some huge downpours, and it saved me the headache of a big mess in the basement. I have a radon reduction system, so he had to remove the cover, which was caulked, and replace the caulking. The second job was to fix a backed-up bathroom sink. The sink had been clogged for a long time, and Jim identified the area which needed new pipes (there were old, galvanized pipes through which you couldn't see daylight!). He replaced the lavitory line from the lavitory to the connection in the garage ceiling. When finished, he also replaced the celing in the garage with some decent looking plywood, and made it so that future access would be easy. The sink works like a dream now. He got busy, and he and another worker had to make another trip to finish the ceiling and do the third job: cleaning out my main line, which I have done yearly to remove tree roots. So they didn't charge me for that trip. I appreciated the good work done, that they cleaned up after themselves, and that the hole in the garage ceiling was fixed. I would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: He spent at least 30 minutes digging mud out of my drain outside my basement door. Then he "rodded" it. He used a hose he brought to check the potency of the drain. Great service, very nice, $10 cheaper than the other company I've used.

However, I feel they misdiagnosed the leaking showerhead and their expensive fix would not have solved the problem, which according to the other plumber did not have anything to do with water pressure. I am glad I obtained a second opinion of the problem with the dripping showerhead.
Description of Work: I had bought a Big Deal of one hour of plumbing services for $59 for this company. I called on April 22, 2013, for an appointment, and was able to get one for the next day. I was having a problem with a shower head dripping at odd intervals for no apparent reason, and a slow draining bathtub. The two men from the company arrived in the afternoon as scheduled. They cleaned out the bathtub drain. The shower head did not drip, although they tried various means to get it to do so, until they were back in their truck. I hurried out and told them it was now dripping. They came back in and said the problem was with a PV valve which was not working. They gave me an estimate to replace the valve and install an expansion tank above the water heater for about $500. I asked around my church and got another plumber who replaced a part in the shower mechanism for $75; this fixed the dripping showerhead.

 + 0 moreTelephone dispatchers were prompt to answer and courteous, they tried to get us in the same day, but were not able to get us until the following day, but the response time was fantastic! And their hours of availability were outstanding! Dispatch was diligent about letting us know timetable of when to expect service, and even though they didn't get us in the same day - they got to us really quick! I called around 5:30-6 o'clock and they got our service completed before 12 noon the next day - awesome! Service technician was very professional and helpful and he got the job done with no additional charges! We liked the service so much that we bought another coupon to keep on hand for any future problems and this company will now be our "GO TO" plumber!

I understand things can happen, but was impressed by the way Reddi-Services responded to the problem and remedied the situation. Will definitely call them again and give them the opportunity to get it right the first time.

I called for an estimate and the technician arrived very quickly to give me one, he was very courteous and friendly. since I always get more than one estimate, I got a couple more estimates and decided that Reddi Services was the company to do the job. An appointment was scheduled around my schedule (they had no problem doing the job in the evening). The technician was on time and immediately started to perform the job. The installation was performed in a timely manner and went very smoothly. While he was performing the job, he saw some of my military memorabilia and asked me questions about my service (what I did, where I had been,rank, etc). The technician was very courteous and professional. When the job was completed and he handed me the bill I was surprised to see that a military discount had been given! He thanked me for my service as he was leaving. I will definitely use Reddi Services again the next time I need a plumber.

 + 0 moreWe've lived in our house for 18 years and had a basement drain back-up for the first time. I didn't know what to do or who to call, so I found Reddi Rooter on Angie's List. Corey was my technician. He knew exactly what to do & had my basement drain open within minutes. While he was there I ran several sink faucets at the same time to make sure the drain didn't back-up again. I was so glad Corey asked me to do this since we found one of my metal sink traps on a rarely used sink had corroded and leaked. Corey had a better plastic trap in his truck and replaced the trap quickly. Corey was very professional and performed clean work. I will recommend him to my friends.

The service rep arrived promptly and cleaned up the work areas before leaving. He explained what work might be needed in the future and what to watch for. While he was working, . I tripped over an area rug and received multiple bumps and bruises. Immediately, he asked if he could assist. He made sure that I had ice bag,Aleve and asked if a relative would be checking on me. It was greatly appreciated! I had a follow up call from Reddi Services and plan to use them again for any plumbing services.

 + -1 moreBottom line... they didn't do anything. They just pretended to work so they could up-sell us on higher price services. The least they could have done was truly snake the line since we were paying for it.
Description of Work: Company was suppose to call before they came over. Of course they did not and just showed up which I think is unprofessional. We used the Angie's list coupon for $189 for a sewer line cleaning and camera. The guy actually tried to stick the camera down first and we had to tell him that the line was clogged and he wouldn't be able to get through. I would expect a plumber to know that when we told him our sewer line was backed up and that we would need it snaked (I mean why else are we calling). He barely did any work on the pipes, stuck the camera down, and then preceeded to tell us we needed our entire yard dug up with pipes replaced. We have tree roots going through. The tree roots are something we've known about for a year but have been told by other plumbers that we just need to snake the line once a year and we'd be fine. So to hear we now have to dig up our entire yard was a surprise. Total cost quoted was $2375. We decided we needed to get other's opinions. We had 2 other companies come out the same day. Bottom line, Reddi was ripping us off. We do not need our yard dug up. Now that we've seen other plumbers equipment we can also say they didn't really snake the pipes but just stuck a hook down the pipe. The other companies showed us exactly the size snake that would be needed to clear it up once a year. We were also told companies like this will offer this deal in order to come over and tell you your yard needs to be dug up so they can get extra business and money out of you. We ended up having to pay for another company to truly snake the pipes since Reddi didn't even do that a few hours before on the same day. VERY SHADY COMPANY!!!
