Patriot Heating & AC

In the worst of the summer heat, my AC unit went out. Patriot not only came out the very next day, they offered me multiple options to work within my price point. They took the time to explain everything to me in detail and really did diligence to be sure everything was done perfectly. They were wonderful - strongly recommend!

They had a technician come out and he cleaned and inspected my furnace. He was professional and did a great job!

They were able to do a weekend install to replace my AC condenser unit this spring, (there is a weekend fee) and I appreciated having the option to do it. They worked fast and left a clean site. I highly recommend Patriot, I think they sell a quality product (Rheem is their main brand they use-which is American made) and they have good customer service.

Always excellent. Jake, the owner, and his technicians at Patriot Heating and AC are always punctual. This company has a great reputation, sells quality products and does quality work. We would never think of using anyone else. Google the company for reviews; they are always stellar. Highly recommend.

It went very well. Jake showed up exactly when he said he was going to and inspected my A/C unit. In and out in less than an hour. Very happy with his services.

It was kind of an emergency situation because of the heavy rains that we had. I had some problem that I needed fixed quickly and the owner himself, Jacob came out and took care of it right away. Patriot Heating & AC is the one that I use almost exclusively. With pricing they are not the low end. They have got good equipment with the trucks that they arrive in and they are nicely painted and they wear nice uniforms. They are not a low end operation.

They came out and did a very thorough job of evaluating existing system to determine the problem. They also took the time to show me exactly what was wrong and explained why the compressor was the problem. They were courteous, prompt, and I absolutely trust that they are not going to try and sell me something I don't need. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Jacob was excellent. He fixed air flow problems that I have been battling with the HVAC installation company for 9 months. He explained everything to me. I trust he did the job right. He is very personable and customer focused. I think I have finally found someone I can trust to take care of my parent's HVAC issues. I was so impressed that I signed up for the annual service plan

We started calling for help late on Friday afternoon. We had used another company in the past, but they wouldn't even get the message until Monday. We checked Angie's List and chose Patriot Heating & AC because on their ratings and reviews. Jake called back that afternoon and we set up an appointment for Saturday morning. He arrived early Saturday and started checking out our AC system. He told us that he could replace a part, but that would only take care of the problem temporarily. Our furnace and AC had been installed in 1993. Jake sat down with us and explained his backround and experience to us and really made us feel comfortable. He also discussed what we needed and the cost of it all. He was very knowledgeable and, we felt, he made good recommendations. He layed down a plan to replace both systems (which we knew we needed). He came back on Monday morning with one of his co-workers and they installed the furnace and AC system which he had explained thoroughly on Saturday. They were quick (the work was finished by noon on Monday), efficient and cleaned up when they finished. We were very impressed with all aspects of our experience with Patriot Heating & AC and have already recommended the company and will continue to do so in the future. This young man knows what he is doing and we are very happy with the outcome.

We found out early Friday evening, they arrived within an hour, and worked so hard to figure out a plan for us. Was thorough, extremely customer-oriented and very pleasant. Wouldn't use anyone else now that we have had two encounters with this company and have been highly impressed.

Install took about 6.5 hours and everything look great and tidy when it was done. A+ job.

I called Patriot near the end of the business day (4:45pm). Jake (owner), answered my call, and asked me to fill out the free estimate form on their website, so that he would have my information to call me back. Jake called back as promised, about 30 minutes later, and we went over what I wanted done. He quoted me a price, which I thought was very reasonable, and said his lead tech, Mike, could come out the next afternoon. Mike called when he was about 25 minutes out, and arrived early, before the estimated time window. He was very polite and professional, and wore protective foot covering in the house...important to me, as we have all wood floors, and do not wear shoes in the house. Mike performed the checks on the furnace, water heater, and a/c, and made a couple of recommendations. We chose to do one recommendation, but not the other, as it was not urgent. There was absolutely no pressure at all to complete extra work, and Mike was very good about showing me exactly what he was referring to and walking me through what he had done. I felt comfortable having him in my house (with 3 kids at home), and the dog liked him, too. (Just as a side note, our dog is extremely protective, and usually does not care for strangers, especially men. He liked Mike right away, which is quite unusual, and in my mind, a good referral!) I really liked the courtesy and professional attitude of both Jake and Mike, and would hire Patriot again without hesitation.

Had two AC technicians come out today to help us figure out what's wrong with our air conditioner (the pipes have frozen over twice this summer). The first guy from an Angie's list deal I purchased (R-Mech) quoted me over $1k in repairs and said I should really consider getting an entirely new unit. The second guy from Patriot Heating and AC - Jake, said all we needed was a pound of freon and to change our filters more often (every 30 days). In addition, he explained how the bigger companies, Bob Hamilton, R-mech, Anthony, etc. all get paid on commission so they tend to really push for people to buy new units - a standard Patriot does not subscribe to. I'm happy to have learned this important fact as a semi-new home owner. I purchased a service plan with Patriot and encourage others to do business with a company that exudes such integrity. Thanks a bunch Jake! Oh - an important afterthought, Jake returned my call within 10 minutes, and was able to come to my house for the service call within an hour and 1/2!

Came out timely (on the day I called) as my air conditioning quit last night. It was my breaker gone bad as the a/c had tripped it and burnt it out, replaced breaker, and fan motor that was bad,and caused the problem, cleaned and inspected it. My a/c is 29 years old and I would like to keep it and was glad to have someone who didn't mind fixing it as I feel a lot of places might have tried to get me to buy a new one. I felt like this was someone I could trust, and he shows you everything he is doing, and had me look at the old part also. I think I have found the person who will be my new go to for a/c - heating and I think he does plumbing too, so that will be good also.

Jake and his installer arrived on time and was very conscientious of the rainy weather we were having that day, always wearing floor protective booties over his shoes. They did the entire job in about 5 hours or less. He sent me pics throughout the process as I was at work and had my dad at the house while they worked. He even checked with me later that evening to see what I thought once I got home from work to see it. He has since come back to the house on a Saturday recently to do a "walk through" of my new equipment since I was not able to be there when he installed it. His vehicles are just as professional looking as his uniform and appearance are! I proudly kept his company sign in our yard for about a week or 2 before returning it to him when he visited. You can trust Jake with Patriot Heating & AC!

We were very pleased with Jacob's prompt service on our A/C unit. Jacob was very knowledgable and was very good at explaining the issues with our unit. We liked being offered two replacement part prices insted of just being charged the more expensive part, although we did go with the higher priced replacement part. We were so impressed with Jacob's knowledge and professionalism that we signed up for a service contract for our HVAC unit. We are giving an overall B rating because we haven't been able to run the A/C (too cool) to verify the level of repair. We are looking forward to more excellent service from Jacob and Patriot Heating and A/C in the future.

Jake answers his calls personally which is nice to know for the future--that we can reach him in case we ever need him but with our brand new furnace and AC we shouldn't need to call him for any emergencies for many years to come. We called Jake after getting Patriot's name off of Angie's list and seeing his many A ratings. We'd had another bid from another company on a Goodaire brand A/C unit that just didn't seem like a good deal. After meeting with Patriot, I'm so happy we went with an American made furnace that's also just a much higher quality overall. The price wasn't even $200 difference. Jake is not a high pressure sales person, which is good because I don't respond well to those type of people. Installation was scheduled quickly and didn't take long at all, 4 or 5 hours maybe? We are very happy with everything and have even told a couple of neighbors about Patriot since all of our houses are the same age so our systems are all wearing out at the same time. I highly recommend this company.

I am writing this review a couple weeks after the work was done. First off let me tell you that Jacob is one of the finest persons I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. He was courteous, honest, and very personable. He gave us a couple of estimates for a new furnace and ac. He never once pressured us on which to pick, answered every question we had. He also offered a couple of other things we could add on, once again only if we wanted. On the day of installation he arrived promptly when he said he would and his workmanship was above and beyond. He explained everything to my wife as he was installing the furnace. He then called me after I got home from work to follow up and to see if I had any questions. I will now use no one else but Patriot whenever I need any work done. Extremely pleased with everything he has done for us.

Jake and his technician were prompt and professional. Jake was very informative on how to maintain a furnace and air conditioner to maximize the life of both.

We contacted Jacob thru Angies list, I will say he is the most professional, polite, thorough individual we have ever had do work for us. He came out on a Saturday when our Furnace stopped working. He replaced a blown fuse and set up a new thermostat that had went bad. He answered every question we had and was extremely skilled. He will now be my go to company for any heating/cooling problems. Very impressed

After a big storm we called Jacob and he came right over within about 30 minutes. Our sump pump had stopped and there was 3 to 4 inches of water in our basement. He put in an American made sump pump, and even helped us clean up the floor. Then he suggested a battery back up for the sump pump and he put one in a couple of days later. Thank goodness he did because a few days later the electricity went off for a few hours, so the battery back up sure did come in handy. We have always had such a good experience with Jacob and his crew. I would always recommend him for any plumbing,or A/C. or heating needs.

I called Jacob to inspect my air conditioner,He then discovered a part of the unit was rusting out,unit was too large(using too much electricity) & not a good brand.While he was here,I had him check by older furnace.He discovered black mold growing in the vent & basement smelled damp.He recommended humidifier & u/v light for the furnace.I knew the furnace needed to be replaced & air conditioner could last another year.But it was not worth putting any more money in it. I decided to replace furnace & air conditioner.Jacob & his employee did a excellent job again.I am so grateful he found the mold growing & solved the problem. I highly recommend this company.

I would give the entire experience an A+ grade. I called Jacob on a Friday afternoon after learning that my system was no longer operating. Due to calling so late I anticipated hearing that they could get to it next week, but instead I spoke directly to Jacob and he was able to stop by after hours to take a look. After reviewing the situation he determined the root cause, had the motor on hand and had it replaced in no time. I can not express how great the customer service experience was. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about his craft. Patriot will definitely be my first call going forward.
