Description of Work: Jake (the owner of Patriot) is exceptional. We found ourselves faced with making an emergency decision to replace our AC and solicited bids from four top HVAC professionals in the area. While we were comfortable with the other bids we received, Jake was over the top! His incredible knowledge and vast experience in the HVAC industry is second to none. Jake is honest and truly professional. Jake's entire team are Master Technicians and he does not cut corners - ever! After discussing our needs, Jake recommended the perfect system for our home and fit us immediately into his schedule as we were without air. Jake not only helped us with our HVAC but also an issue we had with our water heater. We will not hesitate to hire Jake again for any of our HVAC, electrical or plumbing needs. We cannot recommend Jake enough.

Description of Work: We had a bad wire in the thermostat but we're sold a whole new one. Negative comment was made about the neighborhood.

Description of Work: They charged me $59. They did show up but completely misdiagnosed the problem. The technician (although not using any testing equipment) claimed to see evidence of carbon monoxide and also that the two furnaces shared a common flue. He called his manager who said they could not work on it until the flue was fixed because of liability. We sent the manager pictures showing that the flues were not shared and then he changed his mind. Having no confidence in them, we called another company who came out, used diagnostic equipment, and found no trace of carbon monoxide anywhere in the house and properly diagnosed and repaired the problem.

Description of Work: He was very courteous and professional. He came out the day I called because my furnace was not working at all, and then he came back the next morning to install a new furnace.

He clearly stated the process, explained the services being rendered and described his experience and qualifications. He then followed through with everything he stated and was punctual. Description of Work: Came out in below zero temperatures & fixed a dangerous carbon monoxide leak. Our furnace & hvac unit were shot. We have had Rheem units & like this brand. Had them install a new Rheem furnace & hvac. Happy with the unit, install & great customer service!

Description of Work: I had purchased the $39.00 Diagnostic deal. I really had not read it properly. I wanted to have a yearly "checkup" on my air conditioner. They were very nice and explained what I had actually purchased online was not what I thought. I went ahead and had them check the unit and was very happy with their job. I also bought a Energy saving Maintenance Agreement for $120.00.

Description of Work: Jake replaced our entire heating and cooling system. He answered many questions via phone or in person over the course of a month before we made a decision. He was always courteous and made the time to make sure we clearly understood the various systems so we could make an informed decision. On the day of installation he arrived with his brother on time and they installed the system. The work area was cleaned and we have enjoyed a significantly lower heating bill since then. I would highly recommend Patriot and will continue to use them in the future.

Description of Work: replace complete air conditioner did a great job

Description of Work: Zach checked all components of my air conditioning system. He discovered that the breaker had been tripped because of debris and dirt attached to the inside of the condenser unit outside. He burned off and then hosed out all of the debris. Upon checking the pressure of the unit he determined there was a leak that was letting Freon slowly drain. Because I have a home warranty on my home for the first year from the date of purchase, I told him I wanted to use my warranty to pay for this more major expense. He was completely understanding about that and didn't pressure me at all to use Patriot instead of my warranty. I went ahead and had him add two pounds of Freon to keep the air conditioner running until the leak can be repaired. | |I contacted them through Angie's List on Wednesday, May 28 and my appointment was made for May 30. Zach was here right at my appointment time, was very polite and personable and wore the paper booties every time he came into the house. VERY good service!!

Description of Work: After an extensive bidding process I went through to find the right HVAC contractor, Patriot Heating & AC was in my top two companies. I had to find a company I was comfortable with their knowledge and approach, and also the price of course. Patriot fit that description. Everything they did for me was top-notch! It didn't hurt that they use Rheem brand furnaces which are made in America. I was concerned about how airflow might change in certain parts of the house due to the new ductwork changes. Jake did some calculations and even proved to me with measurements that he had been right about the airflow predictions he had made! This was remarkable because I had some conflicting advice about that from other HVAC guys many years his senior. So glad I chose the new guys. Sometimes youth and newer training works to your advantage over age! Even though this company is young I gave them a chance to prove themselves and they didn't let me down. The new ductwork had to be custom fit and it looks so professionally made. They took their time and did it right. They also installed a Nest thermostat for me, this required running a new wire to the thermostat. I love this thermostat so far. One more thing that they did was find a mold problem inside my old furnace that could easily have been picked up on routine inspection, but never was. All these years I thought I was having very thorough inspections from a much bigger company and they had never inspected that part of the furnace. Because of the mold, Jacob, the owner, recommended I install a UV system from Sanduvox to sterilize the ductwork and clean the air. He gave me the literature on this type of system along with third party verification of it's efficacy. Let me tell you it wasn't a hard sell once I got a whiff of the mold inside my old furnace. Needless to say I have canceled my service contract with the larger company and will be using Patriot from now on for my HVAC maintenance.
