As usual, Jay showed up on time and ready to go to work. He is friendly and easy to communicate with. He can do just about everything and has done many things around our home including:Attached to basement wall a row of cabinets from our kitchen.Hung upper cabinets in basement.Rebuilt parts of the cabinets and island so they would look good as some sections were destroyed during demolition by our remodeler.Fixed rotted wood around the dining room window.Figured out how to block cold air coming in between and under our French doors.Redid our laundry room changing the plumbing location.Next time we will have him sand and repaint our basketball goal. (He doesn't like to paint a room but will do this.) He's done more but you get the idea. Hire him. You won't regret it.

Jay worked very hard and finished the work in one weekend. I was very impressed with his skills and endurance.

We are very happy with them. We worked very well with Jay. He is very neat and prompt. He does what he says he is going to do. He works within his budget. He is just great. We work with him all the time.

Jay came and provided a detailed estimate of several projects that we wanted accomplished in the handyman area. He performed the work on the scheduled date and spent many hard hours until it was finished. Although a couple of unforeseen snafus came up, Jay handled them nicely. We added a few items after the original estimate and Jay was happy to do those as well. Because Jay has a full time job, he probably is not as accesible as some other handymen, but if you can work within his schedule, we would recommend him.

Jay is very professional and courteous. He returned my call in a timely fashion and set up an appointment to come out and look at our fence. He emailed us a quote the next day. His price was reasonable so we had him come out and mend our fence. He bought the materials and we reimbursed him. Besides replacing the loose board, Jay fixed our fence gate that was loose.

We called Jay and left a message, which he returned in an hour. He came the next day and gave an estimate for the work to be done in the basement, with an estimate and a start date. We actually left him a key to the house as we were going to be out of town. When we returned the basement was done really well. He left a note with the key stating a small amount of additional material was needed. We were delighted. He gave us the bill with a concise breakdown including receipts for material used. A few days later after the appliance delivery folks "installed" our washer and dryer, resulting in the dryer vent not functioning and the doors to the "pantry" unable to close, Jay came for payment and we then asked if he could properly vent and fit our washer and dryer into the small closet, and he went to work right then and got the venting corrected and said he would be back after the regrigerator was delivered and would rehang the washer/dryer closet doors so they would close. He came back and did it all! He was on time, pretty much on budget, highly professional and creative with his solutions. We are having him draw up plans for a deck repair and a television viewing shelf. We obviously are delighted with his work and plan on calling him first for any type of project we need.

He was out of town when I asked him initially, but he was prompt at getting back to me when he returned home. He works for a set price per hour, so I had no idea how long it was going to take him to do this installation. He worked quite efficiently, even had to stop to run to the plumbing store to pick up an extra piece, and left about 2.5 hours later. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He says he's good at any and all handyman tasks, and while my dear husband is the greatest guy, he's not all that 'useful' for household items that need 'fixing.' It's great to know this guy is available and pleasant to work with!

They did excellent work and I would absolutely use them again.

Did a fantastic job. Found out where my leak was coming from right off and knew what to do about when other contractors wanted to do more extensive costly repair or did not know what to do. Charged a very fair price and completed the work quickly. Very knowledgable and very nice person and trustworthy. There are a lot of shady contractors out there or guys that do not know what they are doing. But Jay seems to be very knowledgible and experienced. Will use again when needed.

I bought a fixer-upper and was immediately overwhelmed. Several of my neighbors had used JRB and had good experiences. I called to schedule an estimate and he was available during the hours that I was available -- after work and weekends. He arrived on schedule and quoted me for the plumbing and electrical work that I needed done before I could move in. After completing the initial work, I was so pleased that I had him quote out some additional work and then booked him for all of it. His attention to detail and quality of the work is amazing. His estimates are timely and are extremely fair for the quality of work provided. Neighbors cannot stop commenting on the improvements. I was extremely impressed with the quality and beauty of the tile work in my bathroom and the custom cabinets in the living room. They both look incredible and the details are beyond what I would have expected. He also made several recommendations that I wouldn't have considered myself, but I am very glad that I took his advice as those changes made a difference and definitely increased the value of my house. I feel like I live in a brand new house!
