GREG BAKER PAINTING

You get what you pay for and that is a lot! This the second home of ours that we have hired Greg Baker to paint. From the prep, tape, covering, carefully moving furniture, to the power washing, sanding, caulking, and the meticulous eye of Greg and his crew...its an amazing experience. Every night when they are finished painting, they are careful to be sure to clean up any trash, to blow off surfaces and restore the area to the way they found it. They are all hard workers and only stop to eat lunch. The work ethic is unmatched and the result is a paint job that we love and will last for years to come. Thank you Greg and crew!

Very well. It took the crew three days to repaint my entire house. They matched the old paint beautifully. Did a good job with prep work. Chipping paint was sanded smooth. Lots of caulking around window frames. They actually left my yard and patio cleaner than when they arrived!! Very satisfied with the job.

Greg and his crew did an excellent job. They are very detailed in their work. Clean-up each day was excellent. We are extremely pleased.

Greg Baker Painting did an excellent job. The crew power washed the house, taped up the windows, repaired any rotten shingles, etc., that they encountered. The house was painted in just over two days and the area was completely cleaned up. We had them paint our house back in 2004, and that job was so good, and looked good for so long, that we wanted to make sure we got them back.

Greg Baker and his crew did an excellent job of prepping/repainting the exterior of our home. After a power wash, they took pains to cover windows before spaying, caulked and used quality paints. They also cleaned up at the end of each day.

It went incredibly well! When we were taking bids, Greg Baker highlighted three things: a competitive price, only one crew & him on site every day, and attention to detail. He delivered on all three, and more! His crew took longer than expected (due to focusing on the work and allowing the primer to dry before painting), but they actually came in under their bid. They carefully cleaned up after every work day and we received compliments from our neighbors about their conscientiousness. We are thrilled with the result and feel like we got amazing service at a fair price. We will definitely recommend him.

Excellent in all areas. Every night equipment & trash cleaned up. Crew did not play music! Crew very polite and helpful. Most fabulous & thorough paint job we have ever had in 42 yrs. Greg answered all questions and explained each process. Crew arrived at 7:00 am and left at 7:00 pm.

Got a bid only and didn't go with it. Felt it was to high.

It went very well. There were probably about six people working on the job and it took them about two weeks to complete it. They were very professional in all respects. The house looked great and they did an excellent job cleaning up when the job was done.

They were incredible and professional. They taped off the whole area. They moved in, did the work, worked hard, and blew us away. They worked quickly and we were quite impressed. He'd call us out to make sure he was doing everything correctly. He did a final walk through with us to make sure we were happy and see if there were anything that we wanted done differently.

We had Greg and his crew paint our two-story cedar shake garage. Of all of the contractors we?ve used Greg is the only one that not only met expectations but exceeded our expectations. The job turned out fantastic. We are pretty particular people and usually we can?t find someone who does the job to the level we would do (if we actually had the skill set to do the job ourselves). We contacted Greg near the end of the painting season and he worked over the weekend to help us complete the job before the weather turned. Greg was very responsive, easy to work with and very professional. He did great prep work. Greg caulked everything on the garage before painting ? I mean everything. There are a lot of cracks between cedar shakes. He was very meticulous about ensuring nearby items did not receive any overspray. His crew did a great job of cleanup at end of the project. We were extremely happy with the finished project. What really set Greg apart if when a paint recall was identified, Greg coordinated the paint rep to come out and assess the issue and Greg immediately resolved the cosmetic paint issue. We?ll use Greg again when we are ready to paint the house. I just wish all contractor experiences were as good as our experience with Greg.

A little over a year, from the day we first met Greg Baker, the painting of our house began! We had no doubts that this job would go well. Greg was very professional, kind, and courteous from the day we received our bid, until the day our house was finished. His crew showed up as expected ready to put in a very full days work, every day. The crew was friendly, and efficient . At the end of each day everything was always tidily put away. Never any trash, or tools left behind. We had to stop the work twice because of the weather, and Mr Baker phoned early to let us know that they could not work that day. We were never left to wonder if they would show up. Mr Baker's estimates as to how long the job would take we're spot on! The crew power washed, and prepped the exterior of the house. They had to repair some wood-rot, and we were very pleased with the carpentry. We would recommend Greg Baker Painting to anyone who is considering having their home painted. You may have to wait a few months, but as they say, ' Good things come to those who wait'. You won't regret it!

Greg gave us a bid that we thought was fair. He and his crew prepared the house for painting. He worked side by side with the crew. They worked hard and were always pleasant. Very professional and worked continually and even stayed late to finish the job. I liked how concerned they were that it was done to our expectations. Very skilled painters. We enjoyed having them and feel they did a fantastic job. We would definitely recommend Greg Baker Painting to anyone who is looking for a professional job.

I set an appointment with Greg to get an estimate for the exterior painting of my house. I walked around the house with Greg and showed him specific areas of concern, ie: peeling paint, wood rot, etc. Greg worked out the estimate while he was here and then presented his proposal with photo examples showing the same issues my house had and how he fixed them. I accepted his bid a few days later and scheduled to have the house painted. I needed the house painted before Thanksgiving and even though Greg was booking into Dec., he assured me that he would get it done by then. Greg called a week before starting to go over my color selection ( I was matching the existing colors) and came out to paint test patches for my approval. He and his crew started on Friday first with wood rot removal and sanding all the peeling paint. They calked all the windows and fixed cracks in the stucco. The house had a lot of wood rot and peeling paint on the trim. As they worked, when Greg came upon any areas that he found while fixing wood rot, he would show me and let me know how much it would cost to fix it. He ended up finding an additional $570 worth of repairs. This work took 2 full days. They even worked all day Sat.! Monday rained all day, but Greg called and left a message anyway that they would be out the next day. Tues. and Wed. they painted. We had some areas that had stucco repair done previously. Those areas weren't taking the paint the way the rest of the house was. Greg pointed this out to me and then found a solution by priming the areas and then repainting them. It turned out beautifully. We couldn't be happier.

Greg and his team was very through and they did a super great job. Greg was here for at least a portion of every day, and they actually had to juggle working with the roofers and gutter guys to complete the painting job. Greg asked if it would be OK to work over the Labor Day weekend. We had no plans, so he and his crew completed the job on Labor Day. Greg was on our job site that day and worked with the crew and inspected every part of the job when completed. Storm windows went back up (over clean windows) and the house looked exceptionally good. No over sprays or spilled paint. Very clean and exacting. He treated our home as if it was his own. I would recommend Greg Baker and his crew to anyone, they will not disappoint.

Exceptional experience from start to finish. Greg gave a fair estimate and worked our project into his busy spring schedule so we could meet a deadline for getting the house listed for sale. Prep work was high-quality and detailed; prep and painting took 2 days to finish. Clean-up at end of day 1 and at job completion was immaculate. Greg was on-site for most of the project, and his crew was friendly, skilled and accommodating. Mid-way through the first day another contractor was at the house working to install a back entry door. Greg's crew graciously began work on a different part of the house to allow for the door work to proceed. Most appreciated. End result is beautiful. We're extremely pleased that we were able to work with Greg and would use him without question in the future. Highly, highly recommend.

Mr. Baker was prompt, courteous, and professional from the initial contact to final completion and payment. He went out of his way to meet our scheduling requirements. His entire crew was well behaved, friendly, and responsive. They performed the job very quickly, went out of their way to resolve a couple unexpected issues, and cleaned up after the job. The house looks great, as they did an outstanding job. I would use them again if I needed any painting done.

The previous painters had powerwashed the siding, then sprayed the primer, on what I suspect was wet siding. They then sprayed the top coat on top of barely dry primer. The paint began peeling just a few months after they were finished. They came back on several occasions when I called them and 'touched up' the spots that were peeling -- but the house was continually peeling. After 2 years I decided to try to find a painting crew that could provided quality work. Greg assured me that his team would thoroughly hand scrape the siding and brush on the primer. He also assured me the wood would be dry when they applied the paint. They spent 2 days scraping! It was the most thorough scraping job I had ever seen. And they did an outstanding job of keeping everything immaculately clean. The day they covered the rose bush with tarps -- one of the workers arranged the tarp to allow the rose bud to poke out so it wouldn't wilt under the heat of the tarp. When they were finished scraping, there was not one flake of paint to be seen on the ground. Unfortunately, it began to rain. True to his word, Greg stopped work and even though it drizzled for 4 days (really weird summer weather for Kansas in June) - he did not resume working until I agreed the wood was thoroughly dry. Every day there was a crew of 4 working to complete the job. Each day they completely put away their work supplies and stacked the ladders. When the job was complete - they cleaned paint splatters off the concrete driveway that the previous painters had caused. The place was cleaner when they left than before they started. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and it is very hard to find workmen that meet my expectations -- Greg Baker exceeded my expectations and that is saying a great deal. His price was the highest of the bids I received -- but it was worth every penny and I would definitely hire him again. Though it looks like the paint job he completed on the exterior of my house is going to last a good, long time. They did a great job!
