COMPLETE TREE SERVICE

Absolute ripoff. K&S made the deal with us and complete tree care showed up to do the work. These guys are destructive workers that are absolute crooks. I do not recommend Complete or K&S. Got the check for 5 grand, cashed it, came back and got the workers and left. These a****** should be put out of business

I had Manuel, Robert’s partner trim our giant oak late in the fall. At the time of the trim, he determined one limb was too to a line to be removed. He included the cost of it in with the rest of my payment, promising to return as soon as KCPL trimmed the limb. It was after the new year before KCPL trimmed the limb. I tried numerous times both in the spring and in the fall to have Manuel return to remove the rest of the limb and also remove 3 other dead branches he missed and he has ghosted me. I’m super frustrated!!! This was someone my dad and his neighbors have used many times, so not only has he lost my future business, but he’s loosing theirs, too. Do NOT recommend this business.

Contacted 913-390-3180 from a Craigslist ad - name of business was not listed anywhere on ad, but Google search showed it was Complete Tree Service. Older sounding man makes appointment to come to my home next day for a quote. The next day at 1pm he still was not here so I called him. He said he had a dr appointment and would call me afterwards to let me know when he was on his way. 8pm that evening still no call. Ended up being a no show. Wasted my entire day waiting for him.

They were working for a neighbor and he recommended them, so I requested a quote. They offered a price about 1/3 of what I expected. No advance payment requested. Started late the same day. Missed the next day because of rain. Came before noon the next, finished in less than 4 hours, with about a 15 minute lunch break. They removed to ground level two fairly large (about 12-14" diameter) trees (Bradford pear and pine), and several huge branches from a sweet gum tree overhanging our roof, as well as cleaning up additional large branches that I had previously cut off the gum myself. Did a through clean-up job both in the yard and on the street and driveway. It was a 3-man crew, and all were courteous and used proper safety equipment. Note: This work was done during the COVID-19 shut-down.

Rick, with The Complete Tree Service knocked on my door last Saturday to see if we'd like to have our trees trimmed - they were doing work in the neighborhood. We agreed on a price and they said they'd start that afternoon. Close to sunset, my husband asked if they still planned on working and gave his number should something change. No work done, no call. I called that evening and spoke to Bob, who just told me they'd probably show back up Monday. I finally got a call back on Thursday with an apology and the promise of a discount. I was told they'd be here today between 1-5 pm, but they never showed. When I called, Rick just told me that "It didn't happen". I'm glad this company worked out for some neighbors, but I would never attempt to do business with them again. Rude and unprofessional.

Did a good job. Did everything as promised.

I've used these guys before and they were really good. They were responsive in the past and did get by to remove my dead ash tree. Which is why I was very disappointed with their follow up. I had also recommended to my friends as well. They promised to call the utilities and come back remove my stump for $50 the following week. I called them back when I did not hear back from them and they asked me to call the utilities, which I did. When they did not show up, I called Bob again and he said that they would come out yesterday. Again they did not show up, so I called Bob this morning. So far they have not shown up. Now it looks like I will have to hire another person to grind the stump which will most likely cost over $100. Makes me wonder if Bob regretted the $50 quote.

He removed the tree and cleaned up the entire area but left the stump of the tree. He told me that in order for him to come back and remove the stump I would have to pay him an additional $200.00. He said that he was unable to remove the stump because of the landscaping bricks that were originally surrounding the tree. I had the bricks removed from someone else and he is still charging me an additional $200.00 to finish the job. I have called him several times and he has missed the appointments that he has made with me.

Never showed up after providing a bid. Robert realized he gave us too good of a price and then would not honor it. We even asked if he wanted to re-quote the work since he might have made a mistake. We waited for weeks and weeks for him to show up and we called repeatedly but he never responded. We finally called another company who showed up promptly and did a great job.

Several years back Robert trimmed up three birch trees. He did a fantastic job. The trees still look great today. So I kept his info knowing that I would need his service again soon. I live on a corner lot, and have 4 ash trees that line the two streets in front of my house. The trees had low branches that were affecting the street and the sidewalk. It also had numerous dead branches that needed removal. I also had a branch on the birch that hanging over the house, and a lilac bush that was close to the end of it's life. Several weeks back a crew was working on my neighbors house, and asked if they could give me a quote. I gladly took their estimate. I was looking at their work after they left, and compared it to the job that Complete did for me several years back. My trees look better two years later than the recent work of this company. I dug up Robert's number and asked him to give me a quote. He stopped by the same day, and his price was in line with the other company. He stopped by a week later as he was in the neighborhood, and asked if I was ready for the job. I appreciate a company that follows up as it shows that they value my business. I told him to have it. Within a few hours all five trees were trimmed, and the nearly dead lilac bush was gone. The yard was clean, and the trees looked great. As he was leaving, I asked him to please be sure to stop back by next year. I have some work he'll need to do in the backyard for sure!

Was told that work would be completed within the day. They didn't show up until 3:00 pm on a Friday afternoon and when they did arrive, the truck used to haul away the debris was already almost full. Took one tree that day, one the next, then made a third trip the next Monday to get the last tree and to grind all the stumps. The crew worked safely - obvious they knew what they were doing. Cleanup was good too. Several of my neighbors liked the job they did on our trees and hired them to do work at their houses too.

Bob was a man of his word. His company did what was promised and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards.
