Description of Work: We had C &C Concrete Construction put a little ramp from the garage to the driveway because my mother’s scooter couldn’t make that little bump.

Description of Work: C & C removed and replaced a driveway and concrete porch which included three levels and a set of stairs. The driveway was replaced up to the point where it meets the garage floor. A brick flower bed attached to the house and porch was also removed and replaced with more porch surface.

Description of Work: Chad and his crew tore out our existing driveway and poured a new one. They also took out our old sidewalk and poured a new sidewalk from the driveway to the front porch.

Description of Work: Had concrete pad in backyard expanded and extended beneath deck. Rather than stamped concrete, Chad was wiling to just add tint to the concrete to give it a more custom look, at a much smaller increase in price than stamping would have cost. Patio now looks fabulous!!

Description of Work: I had an old driveway ( approximately 38 years old) with the exception of the approach coming into the garage which was about 16 years old. The original was badly deteriorated and the approach into the garage done 16 years ago had dropped below the garage floor by at least 2-3 inches. I also had him add a step at the base of some brick steps we had put in several years below. I contacted Chad for an estimate having found him on Angies list. He came when he said he would, provided the estimate within a few days. We made some changes to the original layout decreasing the width and widening an arced area. I have a very long driveway since my house is exactly in the middle of 2 3/4 acres. The price was in line with other estimates but I went with Chad because he uses a superior cement product, explained everything about the entire process and timeline and gave me a list of every client he has done over the past 10+ years. Not just a few references- all of them! He was very responsive to questions and very pleasant to deal with. He explained that the process woulda take about 4 or 5 days and he would be onsite at least 75% of the time. He explained what each day's events would be -- barring any weather delays. He was true to his word on everything he said. It was nice to know that he was there overseeing all aspects of the job. Chad called and said he and the crew would be there Monday morning at 8:00 and they were there. The entire crew was friendly and mindful of all the property. Each day for the four days to complete was the same. They told me when they would be there the next day and what they would be doing. They were there when they said they would be, did exactly what they said they would do and the crew was always very nice. Chad would stop whatever he was doing and answer any questions. At the end of 4 days the driveway was done, grass seed spread around the new driveway, straw placed down and it was done! The weather cooperated that entire week which also helped. 7 days later I drove on the new driveway! What Chad said he would do he did and was very pleasant to work with. There were no surprises and the new drivay looks great and will add to the value of the house. I was so pleased that we are already going to talk about another project and I have reccomended him to someone else.

Description of Work: We wanted to get a concrete patio extended in the backyard. Got an estimate and was on list to get work done after the beginning of the year when weather permitted, but spouse was laid off and have postponed this work.

Description of Work: C&C Concrete tore out our existing front driveway, our L-shaped front steps and landing, and our back patio. They then poured a new driveway, new front stairs and landing, and a new back patio. Our front porch had a single 1/4" crack in it which C&C repaired and then repoured a new porch surface that matched the new front concrete work exactly.

Description of Work: C & C Concrete provided the following services: + Broke up and took away our concrete driveway, sidewalk to our front door, and front entry stoop. + Built wood forms to hold new concrete in place, laid a gravel base and compacted it, and positioned and tied re-bar. + Poured a granite concrete (4,000 psi mixture), then finished its surface. + Applied a chemical curing and sealing solution. + Cleaned from our yard and adjacent street the debris that resulted from this work. + Answered my many questions throughout this business relationship.

Description of Work: Our house is 35 years old and the existing two car driveway began to crack and heave. Adding to the difficulties of replacing a new driveway is the existing water drain box installed by the city to allow run off from the higher crown of the street to pour water into the drain rather than running back into the garage. (the city installed the drain many years ago and it serves the intended purpose), hence our concerns upon replacing the driveway was to get the multiple angles of the driveway duplicated so there would not be any water running back into the garage. We began to check the results of Angie's List for the contractors selecting two and on our own for the other two. We had contacted some 4 different concrete contractors for an estimate. Each time we indicated our concern for the proper angles to be duplicated on the new driveway so any water would be angled into the concrete box drain in our drive. Out of the 4 contractors, two came in with very high bids, one middle of the road, and one was a $1,000 cheaper. To each contractor we expressed our concerns on the angles of the driveway drain box. As my profession is insurance claims adjuster dealing with contractors on a daily basis, I felt qualified to select the proper contractor after interviewing each one. Chad Prater of C&C Concrete Construction was one of the contractors interviewed and asked to submit a bid. Chad's estimate was not the cheapest nor the top two highest bids. Again I emphasized the concerns we had for maintaining the proper angles of the existing driveway for the above mentioned concerns. I found Chad to be an honest and conscientious contractor that had our interests in mind. We engaged his firm to replace our driveway. The first day was the tearout to which they had to be careful and not disturb the brick flower beds that were closely adjacent to the driveway sitting on their own foundation. We found that upon tearing out the old driveway that it had 6" of concrete, BUT, only had chicken wire embedded for strength and no gravel substrate. So much for what a homeowner can't see. At the end of the first day the removal of the driveway was complete, a complete gravel substrate installed, and the installation of rebar as indicated on this estimate. His working crew was most courteous and mindful of our property. The second day, which was yesterday, was the concrete pouring and finishing day. Chad was on site inspecting the rebar and gravel substrate before the concrete was poured and then controlled the drop chute of the concrete truck personally. At the end of the day, we had a perfectly poured, finished and sealed driveway. Normally most people would say "so what? that's what you paid for1" YEAH, that's right BUT let's not forget that the main job was to insure that the new driveway wicked water towards the large drain in my drive and not into my garage. As I sit here and write this review, I paused to open my garage door to view how the new driveway was handling the heavy downpour of rain received today. The angles of the new driveway did EXACTLY what I desired and wicked the water overflow from the street and areas close to my garage doors AWAY to the drain in the middle part of my drive! It was not a miracle, but totally the experience of the contractor resulting in giving me precisely what I wanted. I won't mention the obvious--IT LOOKS GREAT! For those of you that read this review, remember, I had two other estimates for more that Chad's and one cheaper. Did I mention that all those estimates were received 5 months ago? I asked Chad before he began if there was going to be an increase in his estimate due to my delay in acceptance and his response was the estimate amount stands good today. You gotta figure that if you're looking to replace your driveway that anyone can climb on a bobcat and destroy an existing driveway--and anybody can order a load of concrete to fill in--BUT it takes conscientous workers with the necessary experience to DO IT RIGHT! That's what you get with C & C Concrete Construction and Chad Prater--a work product as close to perfect as you can get. I wholeheartedly recommend this company.

C&C was fabulous to work with. I found them on Angie's List as a company rated "A" with honors and that is exactly the level of service that I received. They were professional, polite, and kept me informed on progress of project each step of the way. I was definitely impressed. This is an honest, hardworking group. The workmen were pleasant and conscientious toward my family. Whenever I had a question or concern, I got a quick response even after the projects were completed. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them!

Description of Work: Tear out and replacement of front stoop, sidewalk, and large driveway (22x83). Preparation and pouring of a new concrete patio (13x13) in the backyard with access only by wheelbarrow.
