We bought a home with a Blue Haven Pool installed. Called/emailed 10+ times over a year to request a warranty transfer visit. Put off over and over again. There is only one person at the Kansas City area office that can help you with issues - Manny. He is too busy to respond. Consider this before doing a pool with Blue Haven. Also, there is no contact information for Blue Haven's corporate office.

NEVER use this company!!! This company has the WORST service I've ever seen. When we started the initial process of shopping for a pool company to install a pool at our home they were extremely nice, punctual, returned all our phone calls promptly and acted eager to have our business. As soon as we signed the contract and gave them our down payment everything changed! The initial arrangements we had decided on for starting the pool no longer worked for them, therefore they put us way down on the list to install our pool. They ended up starting to dig over a month later than planned. Each step in the building had a delay, which sometimes happens with building something outside in Indiana but these delays were excessive. Any time we called to talk to the owner, who was our contact person, it would take multiple calls or texts before he finally answered. When he did answer it was always an excuse as to why they wouldn't be there to work. When you questioned him or got upset, it would take even longer to get things done. We were told that the permits were all included in the price and that the company would take care of getting them, that was not the case. The owner called with some story and asked if we could get them and he would take a little off the price of the pool. We were told initially by our designer that the water for the pool was included in the price, but when it came time for that they wanted to fill it with the garden hose from our house. For the first winter we had the pool closed by another pool company with a stellar reputation. We were not interested in using Blue Haven if we could avoid it. Blue Haven has no set schedule for anything they do and will show up when they feel like it, so we did not want to deal with the headaches. This company showed up at the date and time scheduled and was at our home for hours cleaning and closing the pool making sure everything was done just right. After the winter we noticed the pool wasn't holding water, there was a leak under the concrete in one of the pipes. Blue Haven said it was from improper closing, the other company said it was from faulty building. The leak detection company, who we had to pay for because Blue Haven refused, said it was from faulty construction as well as the 10 other pool companies I called, concrete specialist, pool inspectors, and plumbers. The piping for the pool was laid directly below the concrete to where the concrete was actually laying on top of the pipes. In the winter the swelling and moving of the concrete caused the pipe to break. Blue Haven continues to say that it's not faulty, that is how it's done. According to pool building codes, as I was informed by multiple other pool companies, the piping is to be at least 24" below the concrete with most companies going lower in Indiana due to frigid winter temps. Our pipes are 4" below ground with concrete resting on top of them. Blue Haven did come out and fix the leak for us, that took multiple calls to get that done. Blue Haven also said they would repair the concrete after the summer where it had to be taken up to fix the leak and give us an extended warranty on the pool for any more leaks or problems. We are currently hassling with them to fix the concrete and bring us the warranty paperwork. We send texts every day with 3 day lulls of no answer then an answer of "we're busy right now, we'll get to you" We did not put in a heater initially but asked if they could set it up so we could at a later date, to which our designer agreed, that was not done. We had to have the electrical and the piping installed ourselves at an additional cost. The owner of this company has terrible customer service!! Mike seems like he could care less to have our business or that we continue to have problems with their work. He refuses to follow through on the things he's says or takes MANY conversations to get them done. If you're spending over $100K on your pool, he might be your man. But, if your building a "little" pool like ours he acts as if he could care less to have your business or whether your happy with his work. I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE, unless your ready to hassle with every step in the process after they get your initial money. We are EXTREMELY dissatisfied with this company and will continue to steer people away from them to save them the heartache we have experienced!

I was familiar with them from past research. The contractor has been very nice and easy to work with so far. He didn’t pressure us into anything and made it perfectly clear that he would be working for us and his main concern was that we get what we wanted.
