They were professional and took care of the problem quickly. There was a $75 charge like a co-pay even though we had a home warranty with them. We have had them come over a couple of times to have home warranty work done.

WE RECEIVED A SERVICE REQUEST FOR THIS HOME ON 06/07/07. WE SENT A TECHNICIAN TO THE HOME ON 06/08/07. OUR TECHNICIAN AGREED WITH THE HOMEOWNERS PRIVATE HEATING AND COOLING COMPANY IN THAT SHE NEEDED A NEW EVAPORATOR COIL, BLOWER MOTOR FOR THE FURNACE AND A FEW OTHER REPAIRS. WHEN OUR TECHNICIAN LEFT THE HOME THE AC UNIT WAS COOLING. THE HOME OWNER PAID US $55.00 FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE HER HOME WARRANTY COMPANY ASSESSED. HER HOME WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ALL OF THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH REPLACING THE ABOVE LISTED ITEMS. THIS WORK HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED - IT IS PENDING WITH THE HOME WARRANTY COMPANY.

This happened at the beginning of Memorial Day Weekend, 2007. When the service tech arrived he claimed that this would take many hours and asked my wife to reschedule, after she had waited there all day (he arrived at 3:00 pm). He claimed he wouldn't get off work, until 9:00 PM, if he did our project. In working he cut big holes in out sheetrock behind the sink, removed the garbage disposal (which he wasn't supposed to) and damaged it when he put it back in. He said that we shouldn't use the disposal for 2 hours, so we left for the evening. When we returned and used it water leaked all over the kitchen floor. In the course of his work he cut an electrical cord that provided power to the back wall of our house. My wife and I left several messages for them to contact us when the weekend was over. We played phone tag for two days. After finally contacting the owner Randy Moore we scheduled service. He claimed voicemails were left, but they weren't. Final service has not been performed yet

OUR COMPANY DID SEND A TECHNICIAN TO THIS HOME FOR A PLUMBING PROBLEM. OUR TECHNICIAN DID THE FOLLOWING: 1. MAKE ACCESS TO THE PLUMBING BEHIND THE KITCHEN SINK AND IN A DRAIN WALL IN THE BASEMENT. 2. REMOVE & REINSTALL THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL BECUASE IT WAS LEAKING AND RUSTED. 3. INFORM THE HOMEOWNER THAT THE DISPOSAL NEEDED REPLACED. 4. TELL THE CUSTOMER THAT THE REPAIRS WERE GOING TO TAKE 2-4 HOURS AND THAT HE WOULD NEED TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIRS FOR ANOTHER DAY. ON TUESDAY FOLLOWING THE MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY, WE WERE IN TOUCH WITH THE HOMEOWNERS REGARDING THE PLUMBING PROBLEM AT THE HOME AS WELL AS AN ISSUE WITH THE ELECTRICAL IN THE KITCHEN. WE AGREED TO SEND AN ELECTRICIAN TO THE HOME AT NO COST TO THE HOMEOWNER OR WARRANTY COMPANY. OUR ELECTRICIAN WENT TO THE HOME TO DETERMINE IF A CIRCUIT HAD BEEN CUT DURING THE DIAGNOSIS OF THE PLUMBING PROBLEM. THE ELECTRICIAN FOUND THAT IN FACT NO ELECTRICAL WIRES OR CIRCUITS WERE LOCATED WHERE THE ACCESS HOLES HAD BEEN MADE BY OUR PLUMBER AND THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE PLUMBER TO HAVE CAUSED THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. HE FURTHER DETERMINED THAT A PROBLEM WITH THE NEUTRAL CONDUCTOR EXISTED. THE $75 THE CUSTOMER PAID WAS FOR HIS HOME WARRANTY DEDUCTIBLE. THE WARRANTY COMPANY DETERMINES IF THIS IS DUE OR NOT - THIS HOMEOWNER HAS NOT HAD REPAIRS MADE TO THE PLUMBING BY OUR COMPANY - ACCORDING TO OUR RECORDS THEY CHOOSE NOT TO HAVE US MAKE THE REPAIRS. WE ARE & HAVE BEEN WILLING TO MAKE THE REPAIRS NECESSARY.

I'd been having problems with our 22 year old hot water heater - having to relight the pilot light (six times in three weeks). So we contacted the home warranty company and requested Moore's do the work. They were able to work us in the same day. I described for the technician what was happening and he agreed with my assessment that it needed to be replaced. The reason I had to pay $300 is because I wanted a larger hot water heater. The technician was in and out in a little over two hours. Everything works great now and we have plenty of hot water!

My house is almost 70 years old. The furnace I had was at least 30-40 years old and was not functioning. The day before Christmas(!) it died. Moore's sent someone out right away and he got the furnace working for then, but that furnace hasn't been made for a long time and the parts were unavailable. The new furnace was put in as soon as possible, exactly the day they said they'd install it. It was a great experience (well, that is, for an emergency furnace replacement) and I'd certainly call them again.
Description of Work: I needed a completely new furnace! Because of my home warranty, I was referred to Moore's. They did EXACTLY what they said they'd do, and the estimate they gave me was correct to the penny.

This was a very easy transaction. They were quick to respond to our call, give us an estimate, and work with us on our warranty. Our furnace was replaced within a week.
Description of Work: The furnace was replaced shortly after we moved in. Luckily, we had a one year home warranty, and this was covered. They helped us get the warranty information submitted, and we only had to pay a bit of the coverage.

Our furnace had at least one (and possibly two) chambers that were cracked. We found this out because when we turned on the furnace for the first time since we moved in, we saw some smoke and it smelled funny. We then contacted the home warranty company, and they assigned Moore's to check things out. Once it was determined that the furnace had to be replaced, we received a bid from Rany Moore (they owner) as well as two other well known companies in the KC metro area. Moore's bid was very competitive, and I liked being able to speak directly with the owner. In fact, Randy was very helpful in our understanding of what would happen and what we would need in order to make our home warm and efficient. While I was initially leaning toward Trane, in the end I chose Amana because it was less expensive and had a far superior warranty. I give Moore's Home Mechanical my highest praise, and know I will use them when we need a new air conditioner in the spring.
Description of Work: Replaced our furnace with a new high efficiency furnace as well as the evaporator coil. They also installed a new thermostat, allergy filtration system, and humidifier.
