Scott came by and gave me a bid. He explained that he worked for a local manufacturing plant and that he only did tree work on his day off. Those days off varied between Mon,Tues, and Wed. and he possibly wouldn't know until the night before. As I am retired, this was acceptable to me. His bid ($180.00) was so much more reasonable($1000.00 less) than the other bid, that I would have been concerned had I not watched him work across the street and had previously talked with the neighbor (He gave me Scott"s name). I agreed to the work immediately. He called the next week and set the day. As he was climbing the trees (no truck access) they didn't start until about 11:00 am because it was extremely cold. They were cleaned up and gone about 4:00 pm. They completely removed a pine tree (approx. 35 ft) and then climbed a huge honey locust to clean up two large branches that fell during a storm and remove a large branch that the power company had cut away from a power line after an ice storm, but left a 4-5 ft, section hanging. He had one assistant. They worked quickly and safely. They were very cognizant of my extensive landscaping. Extreme caution was used to rope each branch and parts of the trunk that he couldn't be absolutely sure would land safely with out damage to my yard. They cleaned up and removed every bit of debris. Other than some sawdust, you would not have known they were here. These guys were extremely knowledgeable and professional. The only downside might be that it's a part time business. You might have to wait awhile to get him. I think I was very lucky. I am very pleased and would gladly recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact, I have.
Description of Work: Removed tree (about 35 ft.) and trimmed and removed 3 limbs off second tree, hauled off debris.
