When the wife and I decided to switch from electric to a gas furnace in the house I quickly discovered that I needed a professional. I contacted GRT Plumbing and was able to schedule an appointment at my convenience for an estimate. Gene and his wife Sara showed up promptly on time. Both were pleasant and professional and were right on top of the job at hand. I was shocked at the price quoted but over the next 2-3 weeks of gathering quotes from other contractors from bigger advertised names in the plumbing biz, I realized that Gene's estimate was more than competitive. The job cost was in the lower 25% of quotes I received. I don't always go after the lowest cost but had a good feeling about GRT and I was right. Gene and his helper were waiting for me when I got home from work in the morning 30 minutes early and quickly went to work. About 4 hours later the job was completed and I was more than pleased. It passed all inspections and pressure tests the first time. I have always been one to DIY but in the interest of my family's safety, thought it best for a professional to run a gas line inside my home so I swallowed my pride and got the checkbook out. I couldn't be happier with the job that Gene completed and would definitely use GRT Plumbing in the future.

Have had good experiences until 2013. I have phoned 3 or 4 times since November 2013. I received one call back from Sara promising a scheduled visit. No visits scheduled and no phone calls have been returned since November. I even left a message asking for a referral to another plumber if Gene was unable to do the work. I am disappointed and mystified at the downturn in service.

He explained everything he was going to do, and they did a really nice job.

Sean arrived at the appointed time (early morning), he capped off the piping so that new siding could be installed in the area of the faucets. Water interruption to the house was minimal. Once the siding was installed, Sean returned in the early afternoon and installed the two new faucets. Again, water interruption to the house was minimal, and the faucets were installed correctly. I was completely satisfied with the responsiveness of GRT Plumbing staff, and the professionalism Sean displayed during the installation. I would recommend GRT Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing assistance.

He was very prompt, professional and did an excellent job! While he was working, he noticed a crack in the underneath side of the sink and told us to keep an eye on it for leakage. He didn't try to talk us into a new one, but, assured us that it could last between a few weeks or could last for a few years. We were very impressed by his honesty! We will replace it before long and will call on them to do the work. We couldn't be more pleased with the service we received!

GRT honors their quotes, is very professional, prompt and is a true professional. I would trust Gene Wheeler with my house keys.

Our basement garage was broken into, and the thieves cut out all of our copper pipes. We called Gene to ask for a bid, and he arrived within the hour. Not only was his bid significantly cheaper than the other company we called, but his availability to start the work was better by 24 hours, and this doesn't count Gene offering to start that evening and work through the night to get our house back in working order! We had him start the next morning, and he did a beautiful job. He is so professional, reasonably priced, and easy to work with that we will never use anyone else again.

They gave me an estimate to take out the old drain also requiring concrete removal and replacement. They came on time, did the work in a timely manner, cleaned up completely and charged me exactly what they had estimated.

GRT came recommended from a co-worker. They were prompt in providing an estimate with different repair options and worked through some pretty cold weather to get a new supply line run to the house from the water meter with minimal damage to our front yard and landscaping. They kept us updated on progress and always followed up to make sure we were happy with the work.

They always respond quickly and do all work in a very professional manner. I have checked the prices of other/larger plumbing companies and GRT is by far the most reasonable.
