Cannot recommend this supposed "Consumer Service" company. If you have any skills at ordering parts and installing parts you would be much better off doing it yourself. This company has no idea what customer service is. From the person answering the phone to the others ordering and taking delivery of new parts. A simple motor replacement on our dryer took 3 weeks to accomplish.

Very bad service. I can overlook a technician who has rotten teeth, dirty uniform with greasy hands , but not if they complain and don’t know the product. My anti tip bracket was not engaging-Steve ( the technician) said he never seen one and could not see It . I got my flashlight and got on the ground looked underneath and tried to show him but he did not look , he was wearing a wedding ring with dirty hands and as he pulled and pushed my $3,500 stainless steel refrigerator to level the unit he left it with slight scratches from his ring and black smudges from dirty hands. He complained the whole time. He had a small old cheap tool set with a broken cover that looked like it was bought at the dollar store. When I asked if he could troubleshoot my Thermadore exhaust stove hood that was tripping the breaker he said he never worked on one had no idea what the problem could be , but he could Tear it apart for $85.00. I told him no and that I would hire someone who knows what they are doing. I would never again let these people attempt to service any units in my home. I see from the other reviews that this is not a isolated service from this company. Beware.

After two weeks tech comes back and installs part. Got a great fantastic picture of what he left underneath the cooktop. He left his wrench and the wires unplugged. Being a certified technician from a major company, I fixed what this goof didn’t even check his work. They said they had to order the part, which they could’ve bought locally and got shipped faster. Poor technician at Best. Every technician knows to run your equipment after doing repairs. This company will not get any more business from me nor would I recommend them.

Jim arrived promptly. He had called earlier to give me a two hour window. But he arrived at the very beginning of that window. I explained the problem to him. He listened patiently. He recognized the issue immediately, tilted back the washer, and went to work. In less than 15 minutes, I could hear the washer running again like normal. Jim clearly explained what was causing the problem. (No replacement parts were even needed.) I paid their base repair fee. My experience with Turner was very good. Jim did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to call Turner again.

Jim was punctual and very polite. I'd been given a 4-hour timeframe for this call, but he left me a voicemail earlier in the day cutting it to 2 hours, and then showed up right on time. The fix turned out to be a simple one, and he got it done in less than 10 minutes, including draining the leftover water out of the dishwasher. He really seemed to know what he was doing, and everything seems just fine now.

Our dishwasher's pump broke in April 2016, which was covered by the extended warranty we purchased through Lowe's. Turner replaced it in April but it broke again in January, 2017. We called to make sure the part was still under the one year warranty we were told we had when we had it replaced. Lori from Turner Consumer Services said yes, it was a one year warranty. We scheduled a service call to have the pump replaced. The repairman said it could be the pump or the control board. He was there to fix it but did not know what it was??? The company said the pump only had a 90 day warranty not one year like we had originally be told. When we complained to the office, we explained that they told us it was a one year warranty on the part and the only reason we called them to fix it was because we were told is was under warranty. We would never had called them to fix it otherwise. We told them who told us the warranty for the part was one year and the person we talked to wanted to know who and when we called as "they had no record of the call". We explained we wanted a refund of the service fee as we were told it was covered under warranty and they said no. They were rude and had no customer service. Obviously they never fixed the problem in April or it would not have broken again less than a year later!! Then they called a few days later to "repair our dryer"??? We called back and explained they were calling the wrong person as we had never called them to fix our dryer. They cannot even keep their records straight of who to call. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company for anything!!! I believe they should have refunded us the money as they told us it was covered. They were rude and have no customer service skills. Use them at your own risk

Tech was there within 2 hours of initial call. Found problem, replaced part, done. Total with service call, part and labor=$185. Excellent service and professionalism! Fast work. We were heading into a weekend with the potential of the refrigerator completely failing. Great, quick service!

Turner's technicians were outstanding. They came out to my home eight times altogether and replace almost every component of the dryer. Unfortunately, the dryer is a lemon and is going to have to be replaced. Right now I am dealing with the warranty provider to replace the machine, but I want to give hats off to Turner and its technicians for trying everything possible to fix the dryer. They were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. They did everything is their power to try to keep me from having to go through the hassle of getting a new unit because these warranty companies can be a major pain to deal with when they have to replace an expensive appliance.

I have been using this company since 2010. Not great, but OK, until now. Our ice maker broke in November. After repeated attempts to repair the appliance, the service technician, Steve, simply stopped coming to our home, and would not return calls. Before this happened we had paid the company $645 for a repair that never worked. Office personnel would give messages to the higher ups, but no return calls. Finally I spoke with Adam who could not explain why no one would come to repair our machine, but he agreed to have the machine picked up and taken to their office for repair. We then left the country for a month with the understanding that while we were gone our repaired machine would be returned in working order. As the date approached for our return home, our house sitter phoned Turner repeatedly to see the status, and no one ever returned his phone calls. However, on two occasions Turner phoned to say our parts were in and to set a date for the technician to come to our home to fix the machine. When told that we did not have a machine to repair since they already had it, they quickly hung up and said they would call back - which they never did. When I returned home in February I got on the phone to speak with Adam and when I finally reached him I got a long story which basically said I needed to buy a new machine, and he would see about getting me a refund. With that I went out and bought a new machine, but I needed the custom door panel from our old machine, and I wanted to know about the refund. When I finally reached Adam again, he told me that the compressor was under warranty and if I could wait two more weeks and spend a couple of hundred more dollars they could probably repair the machine in 2 weeks. Crazy, since when we last talked he told me the circuit boards were fried and never mentioned anything to do with the compressor. In the end I informed Adam we had purchased a new machine as he suggested and I would like the custom door and a refund. He promised to speak to the higher ups regarding a refund and to call me back - which he never did. The company from which I purchased my new machine arranged to obtain the custom door, and I wash my hands from doing business with Turner ever again.

My refrigerator was leaking, actually flooding our finished basement. My husband turned the water off, and I began calling repair services. All said they could come in a week. When I called Turner, the receptionist was so kind, and told me that she would call me back when she had someone who could come to our home today. Dave arrived shortly after, and found the leak, and fixed it . Thank you Turner!

Just about the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. The provider did not even remove the bottom panel from the dishwasher but stated that the leak was not the same problem as the leak he repaired 90 days ago. I pointed out that the warranty for defective labor is lifetime, but he stated that since it was not even the same repair, that warranty would not apply - all this without even opening the panel to see what was wrong. Unbelievable! It's pretty obvious that this company does not care about their customers one bit - as evidenced by this visit today and the fact that they have not responded to other poor ratings on Angie's List!

We replaced a valve on the customer's dishwasher on 9/8/14 because it continued to fill when unit was off. We went back out on 12/16/14 and could tell it was not the same issue because it leaked when running not from overfilling. Customer told tech she would not pay for his diagnosis so the tech did not work on the unit. The lifetime warranty referred to in the member's comments is for the failure in workmanship. If the tech had not installed the valve properly, it would have leaked immediately, not 3 months after the service call.

The service tech was quick to diagnose the problem with the circuit board. They had to order the part. Two weeks later checking on the progress they said they were having problems getting the part from Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and they said that the part had just been ordered. They waited two weeks to order the part. Once we get this fixed we will try another service company for appliance repair.

.The work Turner did was good, except for the time it takes to get it done. Took about two weeks for the whole thing, which is not entirely Turner's responsibility. The first call is to the company that NFM uses, which then contacts the local service company. That did not go that well. The local company, Turner in our case, did not get a clear communication on the problem and I was told the local company (Turner) would call us ahead of time to confirm the date and that Turner would have the parts. Neither of those things occurred. We got a call on the morning of the visit, not ahead of time, which was okay for us since we are retired. The repaiman was on time and the "diagnosis" was what I told the warranty company, but no part, the drum, was available. So the part had to be ordered from Whirlpool, and we waited another week, which was what the repairman told us. This time we did get a call about two days ahead of time and could have had it fixed on a Friday, but requested that the same man do the work, so we waited till Monday. He called us the morning of the scheduled visit and showed up on time, fixed it and replaced the drum in a quick manner. I would recommend that you ask for Steve J. if you use them. The actual repair went well. Otherwise, "what we have here is a failure to communicate". I guess that is to be expected anymore when a call goes to a nationwide call center, then a poorly documented discussion is sent to a local provider/scheduler, then given to the person who has to do the work. In the "old days" we spoke directly to the provider and things went more smoothly. The good thing is the cost was $0.00 dollars, the cost would have been what I listed above. These machines are so low in quality, I would recommend that you get an extended warranty, not only on the washer, but the dryers. Dryers used to last many years , but not any longer.

I recently used Turner to repair a clothes washer and a dryer. Over all I have to give them a mixed grade. I'll explain why. The washer and dryer in question are Fisher and Paykel. It's not an overly common appliance and is manufactured in New Zealand so there aren't many repair firms in the area. I got Turner's name as from the place I purchased the washer as one of two service companies available. I chose Turner because they could come out and look at the washer a few days before the other company had an opening. The service tech arrived sort of on time and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad water pump. When my wife asked how long it would take to get the part in, the tech didn't know. When asked how much repairs would run he said something to the effect that it would be between $250 and $500. He took the credit card number, filled out an invoice, and then left. Leaving a puddle of water on the laundry room floor. Needless to say my wife wasn't thrilled with the answers she got from the tech or the fact that it would be some unknown period before the washer was repaired. If my report was based on this alone then Fisher would get a big F. When I called Turner to try and find out when I could get my appliances repaired and how long it would take, I got to work with Turner at it's best. I don't remember the names of the two ladies I worked with but if they are the public face of Turner then the company is in good hands. Both ladies were polite and helpful. They either answered my questions right away or got back to me with answers. They were able to track down the part and arrange for expedited delivery - which I had to pay an extra $50 for - came up with a reasonable estimate and schedule a time for the tech to return to install the part. Again, dealing with these two ladies was an absolute pleasure. Anyway back comes the same repair man. He arrives again kind of on time and spends about 10 minutes putting in the new part. He doesn't leave any invoice, telling my wife that he had the credit card number from last time. I had to look at my statement on line to determine exactly how much I had been charged. He doesn't test the washer. He just plugs in the part and leaves. Two days later when we do our first load of laundry the washer dies again in exactly the same point in the wash cycle. Another Sunday spent at the laundromat. Another call to Turner. Another chance to talk with the nice ladies in the office, who complied with my request to speak to whoever was in charge of the service techs. I had two chances to deal with 'bad' Turner, i.e. the service tech. Dealing with the manager was my second exposure to 'good' Turner. He was apologetic and helpful. We worked out a time where he personally could come out and check out the washer that fit into my schedule. He showed up on time and checked out the problem. It turns out that the service tech had not bothered to connect the electrical connections properly and the vibrations of the washer had broken the connection and disconnected the water pump. It took him a minute to connect the pump, about 10 minutes to run enough of a wash cycle to ensure that the machine was working, and that was it. He didn't mind my looking over his shoulder and answered all my questions. He was, again, apologetic about having to come back. Like the front office staff he was a pleasure to work with. My washer now works. So that's why I give Turner mixed grades. I think the performance of the service tech was very, very poor. But I also realize that these things happen and I have to give Turner higher marks on their willingness to set things right. I give them high marks for their customer service staff. I suppose I would use them again since I don't have a lot of options. It would be nice if they stocked spare parts for their washers and dryers but I realize that none of the service companies do that. They might want to have a talk with their service techs about customer service. But that's about it.

A week before the repair was made, I noticed a code on my washing machine. I called the manufacturer and asked what the code was for - they gave me a general description but nothing specific. Their web site had a service call application so I used it and a service call was scheduled for Oct. 17, 2011 with Turner's. The service technician showed up as scheduled, located the service manual attached inside the bottom panel and stated the problem was associated with the pumps ability to drain the tub. He looked at a few possible causes then removed a plug on the pump inlet where a screen acts as a filter. The screen was plugged with coins, bobby pins and other items. After cleaning it out he replaced the plug/screen, replaced the bottom panel but he forgot to replace the service manual. He gave me the manual, stated that the machine should work and gave me a few tips to keep this from happening again. Haven't had any additional problems. My problem is that he charged me $25.00 for labor on top of the service call. My experience with other repair technicians is that the service charge covers diagnosing the problem. If parts and additional labor are required, the service charge goes towards the parts and labor. Additionally, I would probably not use them again because of the Angie's List review of this contractor.

Part of it will be refunded by the manufacturer. They will refund the parts and we just pay the labor. Mike was the technician and although he was running late he called to let us know. We were the last stop of the day, it was the end of the day and it was fine. He came in, worked quickly, brought the part with him because he anticipated what was going to be wrong - that was super because then it didn't lead to another visit. He also gave us a tip on how to prevent the problem from happening again. He was here a year ago to fix the same issue which is how he knew to bring the part. Even back then he told me how to make the dishwasher work more efficiently and recommended a switch in the type of detergent I was using. Mike knows his stuff and he was really helpful.

I don't know where the communication broke down, but I don't think the consumer should have to go to these great lengths to locate a part, which turned out to be easily available from the manufacturer.
Description of Work: Our built-in trash compactor broke and wouldn't run. I called Turner's for repair, and the serviceman who came out said it would need a new part and they would call me when it was in stock. Since this particular size compactor is no longer being made by any company, I really wanted this appliance repaired since we can't replace it and it would leave a big hole in the kitchen cabinets. Turner's called back later that day to say that the necessary part is no longer being made and was unavailable. They told me they called the manufacturer. Because I really needed the part for this compactor, I called the manufacturer myself for the part number (which Turner's did not have, only a name for the part) so I could try to locate the part online somewhere. The service rep at the manufacturer was surprised and said that they are still making parts for this compactor, and she would call Turner's herself to find out what part they were needed and give them the part number. Turner's called back to tell me the manufacturer had called them, and they would call me when the part was in. When it came in, the same serviceman came, apologized for the "mix-up" and repaired the compactor.
