We interviewed 5 real estate agents when we decided to sell our home. Although each agent had both pluses and minuses, the Tinklers (Bill and son Monte) stood out. They were good to work with, helped us out as we prepared the house for sale, and achieved a much higher sale price than any of the other 4 agents thought possible. Within 2 days of listing we had a signed contract close to our asking price. The inspections and closing went smoothly with their assistance. We had a large house (4,000+ sq ft) near the end of a long cul-de-sac on an acre backing onto a nature park - quiet and peaceful. Bill Tinkler was the only agent who fully understood the importance of location (I know that seems odd, given the agent mantra "location, location, location". ). After walking through our house, he said something like "You are not really selling this house. You are selling this lot in this location and the house comes with it." Each of the other agents focused on the house alone. Whereas their market analyses ranged from the low $300,000's to $425,000 maximum, the Tinkler analysis was above $450,000. The Tinklers suggested several improvements to the house, all but one of which we adopted. We believe their suggestions valuable. Better yet, there were some improvements we thought were needed that they suggested need not be done, saving us unnecessary expenses. The real help, though, was more subtle - they helped get us through the stressful period of getting the house ready in a timely manner simply by being always available to talk with. About a week before the house was listed, another agent contacted the Tinklers, found out about the upcoming listing, and arranged an early walk-through. Clearly, having such contacts as the Tinklers have makes a difference. Bill and Monte were backed up by Mary Alice Tinkler and Jessica Krawitz They did an excellent job of showcasing the home with a virtual tour and of handling all the back-office paperwork that made the deal go smoothly. We have looked at the photos and virtual tours of many homes and we have yet to find any as good as the ones Jessica did. The closing went smoothly with no hitches what-so-ever. We could not be more pleased and recommend the Tinklers highly.
