Wayne missed the first appointment entirely. After the second appointment during which we laid out all the issues, Wayne indicate that he needed a few days to put the bid together. After 5 days of not hearing from him I contacted him to see when to expect a bid. He indicated it would be the next evening, then it was by noon the next day, then it was early the following week. Finally he indicated we would have a bid by Friday evening. That came and went with no communication from him. On Saturday morning I texted him about it and he said we would have it by 11:30. It's now 1:30 with no bid. The man has NO time managements skills at all. Don't hire this guy.
Description of Work: We asked for a bid on a french drain along with concrete, hardscape and landscaping, all of which Wayne said they could do.

A estimate was supposed to be sent but wasn’t sent until I contacted the company again. I requested an estimate to install two french drains that would tie into an existing french drain running the full length of my patio. In addition, i asked about the possibility of running a line under the patio. The estimate “was not” for the work I wanted. It was written for a sump pump to be installed, which was what the estimator wanted to do and I had already told him this was not what I wanted. In addition the cost would be “significantly” more. He completely dismissed my needs and wrote an estimate trying to pressure a 71 year old woman into a debt that would benefit him.
Description of Work: A visual inspection was completed on 9/06/19 but no services.

It was great. The crew was easy to work with and, Matt, the owner was always there if I had questions or concerns. I would highly recommend them.

Communication was non-existent. The estimator came out to look a the project, then it took a week and several emails/calls to get them to send me the bid. Then when I called to ask a question about the project, it took another week to get an answer. Would not recommend.

Initially owner Matt Price had very good communication with us and showed up on time to begin the work. Matt estimated the work would take approximately three days. He had 2-4 workers hand digging the holes for the pier installation each day. Due to the consistency of the soil around our house (black clay) this process took more like a week and a half just to dig the holes and install the piers. However, given the conditions of the soil this was understandable. The crew then started removing the concrete to install new concrete. This also took longer than we expected. When the concrete was finally poured on a Monday, they were not able to get it finished to a smooth and professional surface. I’m not sure why they couldn’t get it smoothed out (concrete too dry, very hot day, not enough workers, other). Regardless, Matt came to us and stated that he was not satisfied with the product and would make it right. At that point they basically quit working to finish it and left it as poured (very rough and looking like it has been driven on repeatedly). Matt stated they needed to let it dry a few days and he would be back on Friday to present some options to us to correct the situation. He was going to look into putting a pea gravel/epoxy surface over our entire driveway and new concrete to prevent having to tear it out and redo. Or if we did decide we wanted to tear it out, he would hire a concrete company to do it all. Unfortunately, that is the last we ever saw or heard from him. The crew never returned to haul off the landscaping they removed when they dug for the piers. They left all of this shrubbery AND their lunch trash laying all over our yard. They cleaned out the concrete truck after they quit pouring and left it in a huge pile in our yard. They had a dumpster in our driveway with the old concrete (which he told us he sold to a friend for fill). That disappeared on the Wednesday after they poured the concrete, but we had no contact when they came to get it. We sent the owner, Matt, pictures of all the trash and concrete and asked him to please come clean it up as his contract had stated he would, but received no response. We sent him several text messages and voice mails asking to meet to resolve the situation, but have never heard from him again. Fortunately, we only paid him half of the contract price when he started the job and I have no intention of paying him the rest. We have had to contract with another company to tear out and redo the concrete, so I will be spending the money for that. We also had to haul off all of the old shrubbery and worker’s trash. The external piers appear to be installed well and the settling issues we were experiencing seem to have been resolved when he jacked up the house using the piers. Our contract states that we have a life-time warranty on the pier installation. However, given the lack of response we have received from Mr. Price, I don’t think this warranty is worth the paper on which it is written.
Description of Work: Installed six Exterior Deep Piers and raised foundation on one corner of the house. This company was supposed to also remove and pour new concrete for front steps, front walk, and part of driveway including installing expansion joints and sealing concrete.

Pier Genius created a significant crack while in the process of raising our foundation. This caused water and mud to leak into our basement garage. Despite promises made by the owner, Matt Price, to repair the crack, the poor workmanship has yet to be fixed. We regrettably had paid them in full. In addition to the non repair issue, a witness, our neighbor, stated she saw our dogs in the front yard with the unsupervised workers. Our backyard is fenced therefore there was no legitimate reason for the dogs to have been in the front yard. Our neighbor then witnessed the horrific scene of one of our dogs being hit by a car. The workers made no attempt to aid our severely injured dog, but fortunately our neighbor did. The neighbor had to demand the workers to contact Matt, the owner, to advise of the situation and obtain a contact number for us. She was the one who called to inform us about our dog being hit. Miraculously our other dog was back behind the fence when we got home to take our dog to the hospital. Our dog had to have emergency surgery to have a plate adhered to his pelvic bone which was fractured in 3 places. Our dog had an extensive hospital stay and has a projected 6-8 week recovery time now that he is home. We have a video of the workers going around both sides of our house although the work being preformed that day was by the front door. The statements made that day by the witness and the unsupervised workers do not match. We have reached out numerous times to Matt, the owner, to discuss the situation about the dog and the unfinished repair of the crack and he has yet to honor his commitment to come over to resolve both issues, nor has he made any attempt to talk to the witness. We are considering all possible options for financial recovery and are contacting the Better Business Bureau and strongly do not recommend this company be hired for foundation or any other service they offer.
