I was pleased with the work and would use thie store again.

Good work, finished when promised, only one issue with purse handle. Have been using for over 5 years.

The only things I didn't like were that both times I was in, the owner was chatting with another customer about non-business matters for quite a long time while I was waiting for service. I was stopping by during a break from work and was in a hurry. Also, I was a little surprised that neither pair of shoes had been buffed or wiped off at all during their week-long stay. For the price paid for the minimum repairs, which were fair but not cheap, I expected a little more. Work was done in a satisfactory manner.

Perfect. One heel tap missing and satin fabric starting to come loose on corresponding heal. Reattached fabric on damaged shoe and replaced heel tap on both shoes (so they would be of equal height.) Work completed within 45 minutes, and shoes look like new!

I went to see Overland Park Shoe Repair because of the great rating on Angie?s List. However, after waiting 8 months for him to repair a guitar case I asked for it back and found he had done absolutely nothing! In March he gave me an April date for the work to be completed. In April he said he had the work partly done but would need a little more time. This started a pattern where I would call every few weeks and he would say he was making progress. About a month ago he said he only needed five more minutes of work and to come that weekend to get it. I called two weeks later to make sure he was done before I made the long drive to Overland Park and he grumbled that I had not come by earlier. When I came by that day, he said some of the work needed to be redone. I waited a few more weeks and tried several times to call but he never answered the phone. When I again made the trip he said he still needed a little more work and that he had tried to call me. I insisted that he give it back. After he refunded my money, I looked the case over and opened it to find it in the same condition it was in when I turned it over to him over 8 months earlier except for a new, additional gash in the outside of the case. I could not believe that a business owner would lie to a customer for 8 months and was still lying! If you must go to this business, insist on seeing the progress of the work ? don?t just take his word for anything!

We had a leather chair that the seat cushion was torn. I took the cushion in to Overland Park Shoe Repair. He did a great job of repairing the tear and even did some conditioning on the cushion.

Prompt advice, friendly/competent and will return for future repairs/advice.

He does excellent work. I feel I have five new pairs of boots for less than the price of one pair. He very clearly cares about what he does which is refreshing these days. I highly recommend this business.

I took a pair of my husband's leather dress shoes to have new heels put on them after one came off. I dropped them off on Wednesday and was told they would be ready for pickup after noon on Saturday. They required I pay half at drop off and the rest at time of pick up. I went back on Saturday afternoon and the shoes were repaired and ready to go. No problems.

I had 2 pairs of shoes that needed some serious attention and I couldn't believe how good they looked when I got them back. They had been scratched and scuffed and they were almost as good as new for a very reasonable price.

The heels of my boots were wearing down so I took them in. He agreed they needed to be replaced and I paid half upfront as per the notice that was posted for leaving an item for repairs. They were to be ready to pick up on a Wednesday after 4:00. I arrived Thursday morning shortly after their 10:00 opening but they weren't ready. It would have been a 5 minute wait and I had an appointment so I had to leave and return later to get the boots.

Mr Barbosa does excellent work at an extremely reasonable price and in a timely manner. I had a purse and belt repaired. I would certainly recommend him to friends and will use him for all my leather and shoes repair needs.

The guy does great work. He's a real artist. I've worn boots for my entire life and finding someone who really understand how to take care a cowboy boots is tough nowadays and this guy nailed it. He's a really good and he's gonna be my repairman from now on.

He is awesome. He does a very good and professional job. He has a lot of experience and he knows what he's doing. He is accurate on the materials.

He was able to repair both damaged heels and replaced the heel taps. They look brand-new!

Correctly putting zippers in tall dressage boots takes much skill to get it right. Once you cut on a $800 pair of boots there is no turning back! When I called to ask about putting zippers in high end boots, Henry assured me he could do it so I took my boots to him. I brought along another pair of boots so show him exactly what I wanted. Henry took time to really look at my example boots, take measurements and mark the boots I was leaving. I picked up my boots today. I was nervous when Henry was opening the box but when he pulled out one of the boots I was thrilled. Henry did an outstanding job!! and he was about 1/3 of the price of the shop in Wellington Fla. I told Henry he needed to charge more :)

I have used Henry for shoe repair for many years. He always does a great job. The shoes are ready when he says they will be. They are cleaned, shined and re-soled beautifully. I have big feet and my shoes are expensive. Henry keeps them in good condition and I get many years of great wear from each pair. Henry has helped me with my pronation issue by building in wedges when he re-soles.

They were polished and ready just when he said they would be. He gave new life to a pair of boots that I thought were damaged and wouldn't be wearable after this winter. He's the best shoe repair person that I've found in the Kansas City area. There are many shoe repair shops that are closer to my home but I know that it's worth the drive to take my shoes to his shop.

The price was very reasonable. My experience was excellent. The guy there does absolutely beautiful work. He was great with person-to-person basis. He is a cool guy and a biker. I was having my riding boots repaired and it worked out well.

Less than two weeks before my son was to leave for Philmont Scout Ranch and a 10-day mountain trek, one of his boots blew out. The sole separated from the upper. It was too late to buy a new pair and get them properly broken in for a 70-plus-mile hike in the New Mexico mountains, so we took them to Henry Barbosa at Overland Park Shoe Repair. Henry looked at them, and in spite of the short notice, agreed to fix them. He had to rebuild the insole and attach it to rest of the boot. He thought he would have them done a week before departure. But because of his desire to make sure the repair would take, he kept the boot until the day before my son was to leave.The repair was perfect, the boot fit as well as ever and Eric was off the next day. Henry also recommended a waterproofing treatment. Henry is a backpacker and has experience with proper footwear and was able to give us excellent advice. I highly recommend Henry and Overland Park Shoe Repair.

Very personable owner and craftsman, I believe he said his name was Henry. He says, "I do what I have to so I can do what I want to." Not sure what that is, but I'd guess an artist or musician of some kind. Anyway, he is great with leatherwork and with people, he had examples in his shop and I overheard him interacting with other customers. So if this is what he "has" to do, at least he is very skilled and very pleasant about it! Who knows whether he is a great artist or musician, but he is great at this craft! I plan to bring him all my leather work.

My experience with this company was terrific. Their work was done very competently. The people who work here could not have been more pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to others and use them again in the future.
