Moving Kings

I had Moving Kings on a job dated 11/20/2022 between approximately 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm. During this time, MANY of my furniture items were broken and not discovered until I unwrapped the items that the movers had packed up. Pictures are attached, but my bed frame, antique speakers, antique/family heirloom cabinet/nightstand, and even the underneath of my couch was ripped by the movers. My mattress arrived with dirt marks that could have been avoided had they wrapped my bed in plastic as I had requested The mattress was also deformed as the movers used moving straps but failed to treat it with care and causing permanent creasing/lumps in the mattress. I, also, specifically told movers of the fragile/ANTIQUE items and even let them inspect items for the best tactic before they began moving furniture. Upon arrival at the drop-off location - Instead of telling me about the damages, the movers placed my items in a corner of my new apartment to hide the damages that THEY caused. On top of the careless recklessness that lead to the damage of over 70% of the items moved - the movers managed to break the freight elevator at the pickup location. This left a multitude of items still at my old address on the day of the move and an unfinished job. The movers were to call me back to come to finish the appointment the following day (as this was their fault), but never called; now Moving Kings (as a company) will not answer calls about my damaged items or the unfinished move job. I left multiple calls for both Associate Managers, Kourtney and Jesse, and am still waiting for a response. Kourtney responded by e-mail for a follow-up call and never reached back out via phone as asked. I also have items missing from the move that the Movers placed in the truck - a dog food bowl stand, shoe stands, screws from furniture (that Moving Kings removed), and large mirrors. Research your moving companies - I highly recommend All My Sons as they fixed the error caused by Moving Kings.

My experience was horrible and the follow up is more than awful..I used this company Moving Kings about 3 months ago in August..They charged me $1600.00 for in town move and they put several holes in my walls. I have been more than patient waiting to get them to repair the damages and no resolution yet..They will not return my calls or reply to my emails...I will take others measures if necessary to have this resolved...Jessie King is the owner and Kourtney is the move coordinator; you have horrible customer service and this is unacceptable. I demand that you take ownership of this problem that your guys caused and make this situation right!! And they broke a picture and mirror in addition to the holes in my wall. Today is December 31,2020 and still no communication, apology or resolution...I hope Angie's List can help to get it resolved. Elena Ramsey

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company and appalling customer service. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use this moving company. I requested a move for 8/14/2020, as my lease was ending on 8/15/2020. I talked to Kourtney the day of the move and advised I requested the movers wear masks while in my home due to the Covid-19 virus, she advised that morning that this was not an issue, as they provide the movers with masks to wear if the customer requests, she would call the driver now to let them know. The drivers showed up LATE, did NOT have masks and said that no one from the office called them to advise them that they needed them. I called Kourtney back, she said they did call the driver to advise, she would call them and call me right back. She call me back and advised that they were going to purchase masks and that they would be back. The drivers returned, apparently annoyed at my request to wear a mask, one stating that I was the first person to ever request they wear a mask, another mover stated his grandma just passed away from Covid, and the other stating that he doesn't wear one because he has asthma (yes, the MOVER cant were a mask for safety, but is able to work moving furniture...) I advised for safety that they should be wearing one for ALL moves?? Esp knowing that they never wear a mask, I felt even more strongly for the safety of my family, we were also going to wear a mask. They proceed to have me sign the paper work needed and started to move a few items from my home. Literally they next thing I know they leave, not ONE word as to why, left my furniture on the curb and just left. I can only assume that they did not want to move me because they did not want to wear a mask and felt that I was not going to "tip" them, as one stated this to me also. Please Please Please do not use this company if you need help moving. They are COMPLTELY unprofessional and just rude. I called the number that one of the movers call me from, to tell me they were going to be even later than their 4 hours window they provided me. When I called them, they answered the phone and acted like they did not speak English. Literally every word I have wrote on this review is exactly what happened. I had no one to help with the move from this company that I had scheduled a month prior, again all because I required that they WEAR A **** MASK! I don't regret requiring this, it is unfortunate that this company does not require this at this state of our country with all the sickness we have all seen. Please use ANY other moving company as this one does not care nor put their customers first, clearly, as they allow the movers to just leave a job site without saying a word to their PAYING customers. If you decide to move forward with Moving Kings, you have been forewarned… Good Luck, seriously...

I'm glad to see one of the other reviews had good experiences with Moving Kings. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty bad. First off, part of the reason I hired them was they said they were able to move an upright piano. The crew they sent out was not able to move the piano, but spent a billable hour trying and griping about their management, and the scratched up the floor pretty seriously in the process. Quite a few items were broken in the move (I posted pictures). They also chipped up some marble tiles from an outdoor table and really scratched up an antique dining table. I reached out by email twice to Jesse from Moving Kings to see what they could do to help make things right, and never got a response, so I guess I'll just have to chalk this up to a a painful lesson not to use Moving Kings again. If you chose to use this company, I certainly hope you have better luck than I did.

Aaron, Dillon and Brian were punctual, helpful, funny and made moving (which we all know is hard/a pain) an easier process. Kept me up to date on everything they were doing/approx times (also had a storage unit with items to get from there as well) Jesse made it easy to book, kept me well informed of prices beforehand (didn’t change day of move like it does with some companies) and gave me peace of mind working with his company. No damage to any of my items or apartments. DEFINITELY will use them again(hopefully NOT moving again anytime soon, but when we do..) & will use them to move my boyfriend’s Dad in a couple of months!!

Family values, customer service, following a job through from start to finish! That is exactly what sets this company apart. I had a unique last minute move (24 hour notice) and from the very start Kourtney took charge. From every detail, this company truly delivers. The crew, Ty, Jayson, Jesse and Keenan handled each piece as if it were golden. We had a few pieces we were worried would not fit through the door frame and the crew handled it flawlessly! I have used a few more familiar name Companies in the area and although they completed the task at hand, no company has been more hands on and focused on customer satisfaction like Moving Kings! They take pride in their work and show true respect to you, the customer. Oh, and above and beyond all that, their rates... more than fair and reasonable. Above and beyond, that's what they do!
