They seemed quite honest. What they mentioned was the problem right away was what I expected. I had to have this done before several years ago. The quality was good. They are a Christian group - that did stand out to us. What they proposed was high but it would last.

They were very prompt in returning my calls. They came out promptly and were very friendly. The interactions with them went very well. They gave an estimate very promptly. They worked with another company that I got off of Angie's List to do the siding. They worked together nicely. They did exactly what they said they were going to do.

This went real well. The collars were replaced and I also asked for technician's opinion regarding the roof. When he came out to do the work he replaced the collars but forgot to do the assessment. I called him about the assessment and he immediately came back out to the house and provided an oral report on the condition of the roof. I found him candid, professional and didn't make the push for further business. But he did recommend I call my insurance company to get an adjuster out to inspect the roof. Overall, I was very happy with the job and after getting the insurance adjuster he confirmed that my roof needs replacement I will call M&M first to provide a bid. Overall, a very good experience.

Mark Stang with M&M was prompt and communicative in providing us with a quote. M&M's price was slightly lower than the price offered by two competitors, but we ultimately decided to go with them because of their comprehensive warranty and what appeared to be slightly better materials (e.g. wider drip edges, heavier felt paper roofing). Both of the other two firms were also top-rated in Angie's List. They accomplished the work in 3 days, installing new roofs on our home and a storage shed. None of the work crew spoke English, and the English-speaking job supervisor was present only rarely during the project. The lack of an English speaker among the crew was a problem as we were unsuccessful in communicating with the crew regarding inappropriate use of our property and landscaping materials during the project. One of the odd, and very unimpressive activities of the crew was to take a basketball out of our garage and shoot baskets in the driveway during a break. The crew was careless in their care of the property. Among the problems -- damage to several bushes and small landscape fences; misplacement of landscaping rocks and retaining wall blocks (we later learned that they had pulled them up to hold down the tarps they placed around the house to collect roofing debris); spillage of tiki lamp fuel in the lawn, killing the grass in one area (they simply pulled the tiki lamps up from around the patio and tossed them out in the yard away from the work area). Although M&M provided us with a list of things to expect, cautioning us about debris that would fall into the attic during removal of the old roof, we were stunned at the amount of debris after the work was done. Had we know it would have been that bad, we would have laid tarps throughout the entire attic or offered to pay them to lay tarps and clean it up. At a minimum, they should have cleared the debris that was lying over the attic soffit intake vents after the roof removal. (I discovered that problem later and took care of it myself.) Finally, the work crew failed to cover the gutter downspouts during roof removal. Soon after the work was done, we had a heavy rain. The gutters overflowed because of the clogged downspouts, resulting in water in the basement. After the storm, I clearing a considerable amount of old shingles from the downspouts. The roofing work itself had at least three problems. (1) The sheathing on the storage shed roof had a major break at a corner, which left the felt paper with no support. M&M fixed this problem after we pointed it out to a supervisor. (2) A small spot in the house roof up against a second story wall appears to lack flashing or shingles. The roofing appears to have been cut around a batten strip that was later cut back. (3) The placement of the attic exhaust vents did not follow the plan provided to us by Mark. Based on calculations I later made, using information posted on the Lomanco website, it appears that we are lacking at least two exhaust vents in the highest part of the roof. (Our home is a split level). After the work was done, we told Mark about our disappointment with the company. He was kind enough to spend a weekend afternoon removing some of the debris from the attic, pulling out about 4 lawn sacks worth of material. We appreciated the gesture, but over the next few weeks I completed the attic clean-up, pulling out at least another 20 lawn sacks full of debris. Since completion of the work, we have noticed that the attic temperatures seem to be much higher than they were with the old wood roof. The second story of our home seems to be hotter than before the roof was replaced. Part of the problem is no doubt due to the extremely hot summer we've had in 2010. Another part of the problem is probably because the wood roof was better ventilated by the very nature of its design and materials. I am concerned, however, that M&M may not have considered our ventilation needs seriously enough. Since the work was completed, I have been learning about attic ventilation. Based on my own calculations, using guidance from various sources, it appears that we have insufficient soffit intake ventilation and that insufficient exhaust ventilation was installed in the highest roof section. In summary, I had the following problems with M&M: 1. Insufficient supervision of work crew. 2. Damage to property and misuse of personal possessions by work crew. 3. Inadequate inspection of work while it was underway and after completion. 4. Failure to fully disclose the extent of debris that would be dropped into attic. Failure to offer clean-up services for that problem. (I can personally testify that attic clean-up is a big job. A roofing company that offers this service with their roofing work would have to charge an additional fee, but it is certainly worth the cost.) 5. Inadequate consideration of attic ventilation needs. Lack of discussion of attic ventilation alternatives.

They did an excellent job of replacing the flashing. Appearance means a lot to me, and I am well satisfied with the job performed. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and acquaintances. The company is very busy at this time of the year. I'd be worried if they weren't real busy at this time.

Contractor scheduled a time to come out and give us an estimate. The time frame was acceptable (within 48 hours). He arrived on time and looked at the bedroom ceilings. He got his ladder and went up on the roof to look. He determined the issue and told us the cost. It was very reasonable and the issue was not a big issue. He made the repair immediately. He was very professional and dependable. We will definitely use him again, if needed, and will recommend his services to others.

M&M Roofing agreed to work in the narrow time frame that I had for my visit in Kansas City. They were very responsive to my e-mail inquiries and always available for questions.

Work was done on schedule. Workers were well supervised. Clean up was thorough. Follow-up included fixing a drip from one of the skylights after the first (of many) big snowfalls 2009-2010. The drip was fixed as soon as the ice and snow melted enough to allow workers back up on the roof. Would definitely recommend M&M roofing to others, but think we're good to go for a long, long, time :-)

Wonderful. Prompt response to request for bid. While waiting to start another job on a requested date, was able to do our roof within a week of accepting bid. Team was clean, efficient, did a great job. Management attentive to supervision, made sure all went well.

It was a minor job, but what they did was fine and they were nice to deal with. The price they charged was the going rate for what they did, and they were very professional and prompt. They completed the job on time and so far it seems to have turned out well.

I had used them nearly two years ago and I called them again. They were the only ones who detailed on what they will do. It took an hour for four of them to finish the work. I was not at home when they came but I am satisfied with their work. The price was the same as the others. The roof was not leaking before but is leaking now. It was due to lot of shingles blowing off. They cleaned up and they were on time.

The overall experience was good. The man who gave us the estimate and served as the mediator was very responsive to our requests. They did a good job. They told us that all of their workers were certified by some roofing industry standard and that was one of the reasons that we hired them. Our request was that at least one of the workers should be able to converse with us in English, but that didn't happen.

Excellent prompt service. Made an extra visit to help me pick the color of roof.

They came out and looked at things and I liked their presentation. Once we decided to go with them, they started about seven days later. I would use them again in the future.

We've been working with another roofing company trying to get a leak in our roof fixed for awhile now. We finally gave up on them and had M&M Roofing come out to provide an estimate for repairs. Compared to the other company, these guys were refreshing. Matt was punctual and professional. He explained thoroughly what the prior company we'd been using had done so far and what his company would do differently. He provided a free estimate and even clued us in to a problem with one of our windows that may be contributing to the problem. Because the problem seems to be stemming from a window instead of the roof, we'll probably not be using M&M's services this time. But our experience with them for the estimate was pleasant enough that we will likely use them in the future for any roofing needs we have.

I was very happy with their work, but I did have to call them back out when another leak developed and I wasn't as happy on their second visit when they pretty much told me that in order to prevent that leak, I had to clean the eaves out once in a while. There was one leak that didn't end up getting fixed because according to the company, there isn't a permanent fix for it and I was surprised to hear that. I might have to get a second opinion about that one spot. I thought their price was reasonable. They were recommended to me by the drywall company.

He showed up a little bit late but he called me to tell me he was running behind.

They were low bidder so I worked exclusively with them for upgrades to the decking, Energy Star shingles, and roof venting. Materials were special so they had to be ordered in. We had a slight misunderstanding over the quantity and type of roof vents (they thought I wanted to replace the quoted ones with a new model but I wanted both) but we resolved it OK. The job ended up being more than they had anticipated and it took four days to complete instead of the two that I was expecting. They created an incredible mess and amazed me how well they were able to clean it all up. I even got my ladder out and checked the gutters after they left and found them to be completely clean. I took photos all through the job and noted that everything was done per the agreement. It would be a lie to say they never bent a single flower, but again, it amazed me that they were able to clean up as well as they did. I ran their own magnet on wheels back and forth over my yard several times after they finished, and I did find some more nails, but I was very thorough and I'm convinced that the same would be true of any company (those nails are hard to get up and out of the grass). I'm sure I could find more a week later after mowing. I was appreciative that they left me a few of the open shingles so I would have them if I ever need a repair. I also appreciated their willingness to accommodate my unique payment arrangement.

Everything went well overall. They showed up on time to do the work. I felt that their prices were reasonable, based on talking to other people. I like they way they came out and did the work.

Their salesperson was very helpful in telling me what I needed and they were very helpful in guiding me to the type of roof I wanted. After the job was completed, there was a small problem with the roof, and when I called them a month after I had paid them, they still came out and corrected the problem in a very prompt and friendly way. They were just wonderful to work with.

Aside from the misfortune that they were not able to perform work desired, everything went well. The return phone call to setup the appointment was punctual and very professional. The representative was very friendly and did offer so reference information, even though he was not able to perform the work himself.

I had a great experience with them. They were very experienced and knew what they were doing. The crew has been with them a long time. They made sure to use top quality materials. They were not the cheapest bid, however I think that they were the best quality for the money.

They were just very good people and did a very good job. They were very professional, came on time and did what they said they would do. Their price was also very reasonable.

I used Angie's list to find roofing contractors who were A rated and in the area. I talked to Mike, he came out and gave an estimate to my wife. I then called when I got back in town and asked a variety of questions about the estimate, all of which Mike answered and explained further where I asked for it. Mike brought by several different examples of tiles that we could put on the roof, gave us lots of options from basic to green to upscale. Once we selected the roofing tiles and the rain stopped, we scheduled the job. Mike also told us how to clear up the water spots left from where the old roof leaked. On the day of the work, they showed up on time, they worked hard from the time they got here until the time they left (12 hour days). Got the job finished in just over 2 days, worked hard, polite, careful about the new plants, did a good job of cleaning up at the end of job. Crew of 6 or 7. We are happy with the work and would recommend M&M to others.

Since we were a relatively small job, they were able to work us in during breaks in the recent rains. The crew arrived a couple of hours later than originally stated, so they didn't get entirely finished in one afternoon, but almost! They were fast, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves both days. The only (very minor) complaint would be that they left some materials in the driveway overnight that we moved so we could pull one car in. But that was all of 2 minutes effort on my part, a VERY minor nit. M&M did what they said they would do, squeezing us in WAY before their original estimate (because of the weather). When they were finished the only indication they had been there was the new roof and one forgotten piece of old flashing. I am very satisfied with their work. We have had several rains since they were here, and no leaks.
