The installers showed up on time. They got the job done on time. I think they did a good job on the installation. They were very very professional. They were nice, courteous. They did a good job and we would have them back again. The price for installation was in the sales price so there was not cost. They were courteous and professional and got the job done.

On the sales side they are really good. They know their products very well. They are very good at managing the installation company which is a subsidiary of Home Depot. The installation company's material numbers were way to high. When I did the math, I pointed it out and the sales people looked at it and said yeah you are right and we worked thru it. The sales people I think are sharper than the people representing the installers.

It's close and they usually have a good selection. Customer service is always pretty good. To improve their services, they could reduce the prices and have more people on the floor so you don't have to look for help.

In the last three years we have got several things from there. I don't know about all the Home Depot locations but this particular location is very helpful. We noticed that there was some problem with the dryer and I didn't have any trouble in changing it. They use subcontractors for installation of doors and windows and they did an excellent job.

The crew arrived on the first day and listened to my requirements and stated that they needed to get approval to deviate from the standard installation and get back to me. Heard back from the Home Depot staff and they indicated that the installation would go ahead and will meet my requirements.The crew showed up a few days later on a snow covered day and had the consideration to remove their boots and work inside with proper foot covering. Mr.Mcginnis and his crew were very meticulous in the installation of the thermo pane windows and then insulating and caulking every seam to ensure a weather tight installation. Excellent work done in a very friendly & professional manner.
Description of Work: Mike Mcginnis was dispatched by Home Depot Home Services to install 5 thermo pane windows in our home. My criteria for the installation work was more demanding than the typical installation offered by Home Depot. Mr. Mcginnis was successful in getting the staff at Home Depot to allow him to deviate from the Home Depot standard installation to meet my more stringent requirements. My requirement were to remove the old windows and the old window sill and then to install the new thermo pane window units over a new PVC sills and to replace the old brick molding wood trims with new PVC brick moldings. (The Home Depot standard installation allows that the new Thermo pane window be placed over the old window sill and then to cover the window sill and the old brick molding with a preformed metal covering).

I left the store without buying any products, very frustrated because I asked two different workers in the store about how to clean and maintain the ceramic tile and grout (sealing, etc.) in our new home and received two completely different answers. One guy told me the tile and grout needed sealing two to three times a year while another one told me once every 5 years. When I let the 2nd worker there know the info the first one said, he just said that the other employee was wrong. I didn't know what to believe so I just left.
Description of Work: I went there to find out how to care for the ceramic tile floors in our new home and there are a couple cracks in the grout that I had questions about.

ONCE THE DOORS WERE ORDERED EVERYTHING WENT VERY SMOOTHLY. HOME DEPOT USES A SUBCONTRACTOR. WE WERE CONTACTED THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY AFTER ORDER WAS PLACED. INSTALLER KEPT TO APPOINTMENT AND COMPLETED THE JOB WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE MOST DIFFICULT TASK WAS ORDERING THE DOORS IN THE FIRST PLACE. THERE WAS NO ONE AT THE SERVICE DESK. I HAD TO ASK FOUR TIMES FOR A SALES REP. AFTER THE FOURTH TIME I RETURNED FROM THE FRONT OF THE STORE TO FIND THE REP HELPING A COUPLE WHO WAS THERE AFTER ME. THEY FINALLY SENT SOMEONE WHO WAS COURTEOUS, BUT NEW. THIS DELAYED THE TRANSACTION EVEN FURTHER. IF I WASN'T PATIENT I WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT. THE OVERALL JOB WAS WELL DONE. THE INSTALLER GETS A'S, HOME DEPOT INITIAL HELP GETS A C FOR AN OVERALL B AVERAGE IN RESPONSIVENESS AND PUNCTUALITY.
Description of Work: INSTALLED 2 NEW GARAGE DOORS. REMOVED/DISPOSED OF OLD DOORS AND REATTACHED GARAGE DOOR OPENERS.
