+ 2 moreIt went really smoothly. He was right on the ball about when the onyx would be in. I did not order the glass right away, so it came about 2 weeks later. It is just beautiful. So glad the yucky bath tub is gone.
Description of Work: I had my bath tub removed. Replumber and a onxy shower and counter top but in . I was able to paint my former cabinet and ceiling. Scott Hochendal was very great to work with and he also hired a guy named Tracy to help him. The back of the shower was onyx in one piece so Scott needed help to get it up the stairs. Very heavy. I also was able to order a glass panel to use instead of a shower curtain. Scott ordered it for me, but the glass was installed by a glass pro. I need work done on my stairs that squeked so Scott also did that for me. I really love my new bathroom. NO more tile grout, as well as a completely smooth service. I would hire Scott again but he is really busy right now. I am just glad I had this projected completed. Also We hired Scott because he brought products for my busy husband to see. NO OTHER Company would come unless my husband was there. He is more of a bottom line type of guy. Really it is my bathroom he has his own bathroom on the first floor.

This was an enormous project: 20' x 40' deck, 10' off the ground, all cedar, cable railings, and waterproofing the underside with corrugated aluminum. + 7 moreMr. Hochanadel gave us addresses of other houses in our neighborhood where he had done similar work so we could go see them. He gave us an estimate and stuck by it. He told us how long it would be before he could get to us. Showed up when he said he would. Worked alone some days, had a helper another day. Mr. Hochanadel does huge jobs as well as small jobs like ours.
Description of Work: Replaced a soffit panel, replaced wood shingles on north side of house, then painted his repairs and our garage door and a window and it's shutters, power washed driveway, patio and deck, then stained deck.

If you're not going to answer", and immediately hung up. Unprofessional at it's best. I would never recommend someone like this, if that's the attitude you get from trying to find information on a job. Just so you know @Hochanadel Handy Service we're property management company in MO and KS that have 100s of different properties that we constantly need maintenance on, and are always looking for a valued partner.

+ -1 moreThey were very nice and personable. However, they were very unprofessional. They did an average job on the deck for the money. To top it off they power washed the words "power wash me" on my concrete patio(not part of the bid). When I asked for them to correct it, they laughed and said they would be back next week. It has now been 3 weeks. At the beginning I had them bid on a lot of other work. However, I now longer want there services.

Description of Work: There was no handrail coming down from the front porch. A top quality deck-style railing of pressure treated lumber and cedar was needed. Footings needed to be poured and the uprights set in concrete.

+ 0 moreScott does a very good job and he is very reliable. He put on some paint in December and they told him that the paint was warranted against certain temperature and rain. We had a real cold rain that night and the paint washed off on the north side of the house. I called Scott and he couldn't believe it. He came and looked at it and said that he would make it right. He went back and repainted the whole thing. It wasn't really his fault. He was painting in 19 or 20 degree weather and he came back and got the job done. He was a good guy. We are getting ready to ask him to come back and do some more stuff. He also does light construction like wood framing, board replacement and wiring. He always picks up his phone for me. He has always been there when we have asked him.

+ 0 moreScott was very professional. He came in and, after looking over what was required, gave us an estimate, We agreed upon the charges and he went to work. I would highly recommend Scott as he is very professional, knows his trade, and easy to work with. The whole job took a couple of days. Since I told Scott that I was having some gutter replaced, he made sure that his part was done so that he would not be in the way of the gutter company.
Description of Work: Scott performed a variety of services for us. He replaced and painted fascia boards, He replaced several rotten boards including a window frame and painted and he added some sealant to help protect the house in an area where there was a minor gap.

We discussed his using the highest quality stain and paid him 1/2 of the cost upfront and the last 1/2 when the job was done. He was very careful when doing the power washing of the deck and promptly returned the following day to finish the staining in one day. It looks great.
Description of Work: We contacted Scott to power wash and re-stain our 20x25 deck on Friday. By the end of the day the following Wednesday, the job was done and it looks great. Scott is a highly competent businessman, does great, timely work and is very easy to work with. We recommend him to anyone needing serious work around the house. We are sure to hire him for other work. He's a real Pro!
