It was a complicated lock. We called several locksmiths who told us they wouldn't work on it. The owner spent quite a bit of time on it, and eventually got the chest open. His rate was reasonable considering the size of the job.

Randy picked up the new parts from our home, took them to the condo, and then changed the locks and tested the system. Due to the complexity of the system due to multiple wires he came back a second time with an assistant and fixed the issue. I emailed them from their website on a Sunday and had an email response by Monday morning with the requested estimate and instructions to call if I wanted the work done. They were able to come that morning and did a great job. They installed the new deadbolt and re-keyed the existing lock to use the same key. In addition they made me a couple of extra spare keys. They had everything they needed with them and accepted payment by credit card. Cost was $165 plus $15 tax.

I dealt with the Owner of Heart of America Locksmiths -Randy. He was punctual, polite, very knowledgeable and fast. He kept his work areas clean and he had all the supplies that he needed on his truck. His rates were very reasonable, in fact much less than several other locksmiths I called about the job. On top of all this, Randy was just a nice guy. Randy's Dad was a locksmith and he grew up around the business. So he pretty much has the knowledge to solve any lock problem where you need help. Also let me add that the lock and keys to your house are very personal and you don't want just anyone knowing all about your locks and keys for entry. In other words you need a locksmith that can be trusted and that you are comfortable working with on your Home or car. Great. He showed up on time and completed the work as promised and fixed one of the locks that wasn't working properly.

He had to spend time ordering some parts that were exactly what we wanted, but he was able to find them and it was worth the wait. He did a great job of locating the correct parts and installing.

Randy did an excellent job. I needed some new locks re-keyed. One of the locks I had tried to re-key myself but failed miserably. I was able to take in that lock with missing pieces to his shop and he did the work. Will recommend and use again
