Filter works, but the price of $196.00 to replace the pad on top of the $39.00 trip charge is robbery! I paid $96 last year with another company: Neal Harris, I looked at my records after the repairman left. I called back to complain but was told $196.00 is the price to replace the pad. The pad itself is around $20.00. Since I had to pay the trip charge anyway I had him go ahead and change the pad. I used the $50.00 coupon from this website but it was still too expensive for what was done.

The technician was very nice but in the middle of fixing the hose on the faucet, he damaged the plastic hose inside the metal tubing and it couldn't be fixed. Informed me it would cost $220 to put a new one on. I called the company and they didn't care he had damaged the faucet, just said I need to pay the additional to have it fixed. I refused and went elsewhere.

He was very professional and punctual. The cost was more than I had anticipated, however.

I was very pleased with my contact with this company. Rodger was very considerate of my time and my need to NOT have any mess when the job was complete. As I mentioned we were not aware that we had a septic tank so Rodger was very considerate in answering all my questions about what to do going forward.

They are wonderful. Very affordable and honest. They were able to do a job a lot cheaper than another outfit.

On a duplex with 2 a/c units that both needed work this summer: I had a technician (Jeff Needham) out he was very polite and professional. My 1978 vintage air conditioner had stopped. It was simply a wire that had disconnected. Instead of pushing me to buy a new unit, which I obviously need, he fixed the problem and noticed a minor problem with the furnace that he addressed at no cost. He put booties on his shoes to keep my carpets clean. He was fast and knowledgeable about what he was doing. A short time later, the newer unit for the other duplex also stopped. I asked for Jeff again, and was able to list him as my preferred technician. This time it was more serious, but he fixed it quickly with the same polite manner and cleanliness. He then suggested I sign up for the Service Partner Membership which would save money for repeat services. Today, the old unit stopped again. Jeff saw it was only a circuit breaker, and showed me how to check for that. Good employees reflect the company!

We had been smelling sewer gas for about a year every time someone took a shower. Another plumbing company identified the problem by using "smoke bombs" dropped from a pipe in the roof. This company told us the work would cost $4,000 to $5,000 to do. So, we waited and decided to contact a different company. We liked the price of Bob Hamilton better.

I judge a service company in three ways. How well do they do the job. Is there a good value to their service and if I experience a problem, how well do they respond. Sometimes complications may distract a technician from delivering 100% accuracy. While it is better not to make errors, to me, it is just as important how a company responds to its errors. I must give Bob Hamilton an A+ for this. The company management is very serious about quality and providing excellent value to its customer. We were not happy with the finishing touches to our A/C and Furnace installation. I sent an email about my concerns and management at Bob Hamilton stepped in immediately to resolve our concerns. All of the work was done and the next day. As a result the entire job met our high level expectations. We will continue to use Bob Hamilton Plumbing in the future knowing that if we ever have a problem, that management will be there willing and eager to provide a fair and valuable solution.

My water softener had sprung a leak and I couldn't figure out how to shut it off. This was on a Sunday and I know this company's technicians were available every day w/o a weekend charge (they had done satisfactory work for us in the past), so they came out (it took a few hours) and shut it off. We decided, instead of fixing the water softener or buying a new one, we would just have it taken out and have the pipes welded for bypass. The cost was high ($320 w/o my $50 coupon), but they did good work, as usual, and they were fast and efficient.

Company did a fine job. Reliable service and flexible to work with on time to perform service.

I really like them. Their prices are good and their repairmen are very nice.

Bobby Hamilton was as usual, prompt, neat (they even wear booties in your house)and very polite. He did the work quickly and efficiently and at at a reasonable price.

We called three large HVAC companies, requesting for a service call the same day. Bob Hamilton Plumbing was the only company that returned our call and scheduled the service at 6 PM, which is great for most of us. The technician was very courteous. He inspected the entire system and found the ''run capacitor'' that operates the compressor, to be faulty. He replaced the part and cleaned the entire compressor (outside) unit. The technician did not offer to sell any additional parts. He presented the company's service plans and left the information, but did not try to ''hard sell'' any additional services or parts. He did note that our 15 year old system is in good condition, but is probably nearing the end of its life span.

I wanted to get an estimate, but the guy was over 20 minutes late, so I didn't get to talk to him. I called him at a later date, and he took 3 days to call me back. I got a bad first impression, so there was no way I was going to trust them with replacing my furnace and a/c. I ended up using Midwest, and they are installing a top of the line Lennox system tomorrow.

Their rep., Mr. Simpson, was very good to work with. He did a great job of explaining our options. We had received five different estimates from different companies. Bob Hamilton's estimate was not the lowest, nor the highest. We just felt we were getting a solid product with a very good warranty and the promise of great service when needed. The technicians did a great job installing the new equipment and clearing out the old units. They took the time to explain the workings of the new system. And there were follow-up calls from Bob Hamilton inquiring as to our satisfaction and if we needed any thing else from them regarding the new system(s).

Work was well done. I was disappointed that they were going to charge me 60 dollars for an estimate. But I went ahead with the work anyway. I also thought the cost was on the high side for the type of work done.

Very professional service that gave me peace of mind. Well trained, customer-minded technicians who communicate well and anticipate my questions. High quality hardware. No aggressive selling. This was my first experience with this company after getting fed up with another. Also gave me a good deal.

I think they seem to be more focused on replacing things. Maybe they just don't focus on older homes. I contacted another local plumber who was able to repair the fixture for about $150; much less than the $350 that Bob Hamilton was thinking for the same repair - if it worked and the guy seemed almost certain it wouldn't. I have had them do another job that was more routine and they did a good job. Always courteous and professional.

Price was outrageous. The work was performed in less than 1 hr. I have since learned the cost of a similar garbage disposal is less than $200. I've learned another reputable company would have performed the work for the cost of the disposal, plus $125 installation fee. I have contacted the company to complain about the cost and have not yet received a response. The Bob Hamilton company would give me no estimate over the phone.

BOTH OF THE TECHNICIANS WHO CAME OUT WERE VERY NICE, KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE SITUATION, AND WERE ABLE TO ANSWER ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. THE ONLY THING I WOULD HAVE LIKED WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A TIME FRAME OF ARRIVAL ON MY SCHEDULED DAY INSTEAD OF WAITING ALL DAY FOR A PHONE CALL THAT THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY.

RICK, THE PLUMBER DID AN ACCEPTABLE JOB. IF THE PROBLEM HADN'T OCCURRED ON A WEEKEND WHEN WE HAD COMPANY, I WOULD HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH RATHER THAN JUST ACCEPTING THE MODEL HE HAPPENED TO HAVE ON HIS TRUCK, BUT IT IS OK. I SUSPECT WE PAID TOO MUCH FOR IT. HIS CAULKING AROUND THE BASE WAS NOT AS NEAT AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED. WE HAD ASKED HIM ABOUT A GUARANTEE BEFORE APPROVING THE WORK, AND HE SAID THERE WAS ONE. HOWEVER AFTERWARDS, HE LOOKED IN HIS BOOK AND SAID HE COULD NOT FIND IT. I CALLED THE COMPANY THE FOLLOWING WEEK, AND ASKED ABOUT THE GUARANTEE. I ALSO SAID I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE MODEL NUMBER OF THE TOILET, AND WONDERED IF THERE WAS ANY KIND OF OWNERS MANUAL DETAILING HOW TO CLEAN IT, ETC. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE REFERRED ME BACK TO THE PLUMBER WHO DID THE WORK. I REPLIED THAT I WAS CALLING BECAUSE HE HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO GIVE ME THE INFORMATION I REQUESTED OR THE GUARANTEE. HE THEN SAID HE WOULD TALK TO HIS MANAGER, AND SOME ONE WOULD GET BACK TO ME. THEY NEVER DID.

WE WERE EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE! THEY RESPONDED TO OUR CALL WITHIN 30 MINUTES AND WERE AT OUR HOUSE WITHIN 2 HOURS. THE GENTLEMAN WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND SPEEDY! HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING HE WAS DOING FOR US. WE HAD A COOL HOUSE AGAIN IN NO TIME!

THE REPRESENTATIVE SENT OUT TO MY HOUSE WAS VERY PROMPT, COURTEOUS, AND WELL-INFORMED. HE BROUGHT OUT A SECOND CONSULTANT (BECAUSE THE JOB WAS COMPLICATED) TO BE SURE THEY HAD CONSIDERED ALL OF THE ALTERNATIVES. THE WORK THEY DID WAS REALLY GREAT - VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE VERY RESPECTFUL OF MY HOUSE, AND WORKED HARD TO KEEP EVERYTHING CLEAN AND PUT EVERYTHING BACK IN PLACE. THEY KEPT ME WELL-INFORMED, AND MADE SURE THAT I UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING THEY WERE DOING. I WAS REALLY IMPRESSED.

IT WAS AN EXTREMELY HOT WEEKEND AND THEY WERE OUT FIRST THING THE NEXT DAY. THEY TRIED THEIR HARDEST TO GET IT INSTALLED THAT NIGHT, BUT THE WEATHER TURNED REALLY BAD. THEY WORKED THROUGH REALLY BAD WEATHER TO GET IT DONE. THEY CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY, AFTER I HAD URGED THEM TO GO HOME DUE TO THE WEATHER, AND FINISHED THE JOB.
