Hamilton Heating, A/C & Plumbing

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was a little bit rocky because we'd had a storm and they lost our system and didn't have back up or anything. I was scheduled and they never showed up so I called them and they said they had no way of knowing who to call because their system went down. They made up for it and they were fine when they came out and it all worked out. Also I thought I was paying $49 and in the end I had to pay more money. I thought what I had paid covered it and it didn't so I was a little bit taken back by that as well. The experience was good. They explained things very thoroughly and they weren't in a rush so they definitely took the time to go through and make sure I understood and that all my questions were answered. They were there on time when I knew they were coming. I have actually recommended them.

Purchased $49.00 coupon for drain cleaning off Angies list . man showed up and he was right to the point that coupon would not be accepted because it was a 1 1/2 inch floor drain not a main drain . He said it would be $195.00 too start. I called Bob Hamilton plumbing for a refund for coupon. lady said she would have them call me back. no one has ever called as to date .

We have used provider in the past for hvac and plumbing, but no more. Arrogant and unreasonably expensive.

Response time was excellent. Detailed assessment and explanation of problem. The gentlemen performing the repair, which included exterior and interior excavation, were knowledgeable and professional. They were courteous, thorough, put everything back in place and completed the work in record time. I won't hesitate to use Bob Hamilton in the future.

I used a coupon for this routine service, I was not having problems. They arrived on time and were professional.

I called Bob Hamilton in early afternoon because my air conditioner was not working. They said they would send someone out that late afternoon. Noone showed so I called the after hours number. According to their ad in the phone book they have 'Response Center staffed 24/7 so you always reach a real person". Well I called the KS number and got an answering machine. I left a message and waited about 30 minutes. No call back so I called the MO number and again got an answering machine. Left the same message, adding that I had left a message on the KS number. Over an hour later the answeing service called and said that if someone came out tonight I would be charged an after-hours rate and a dispatch fee. Needless to say, I said forget it and will never use Bob Hamilton again.

They just finished today. It was a two day job. The price was lower than I was quoted. It was quoted at $7,400 and I ended up paying $7,000. I knew the repairman and he is above reproach when it comes to honesty and integrity. I felt very comfortable dealing with this bigger company because I knew Sam. It was a good experience. They did excellent work. It was hard work. They cleaned up after themselves and informed me the whole way of changes and if they ran into something they didn't expect. It was everything I would expect from a plumbing service. It was excellent. Their price was competitive. I have scheduled them to come back and do some more work.

DO NOT USE BOB HAMILTON. Shower valve/ cartridge needed changing and shower pipes needed to be reattached. Bob Hamilton was good about coming within 2 days with no emergency call. They looked and were dressed professionally, and seemed nice. The positive comments end there. After looking at the shower I was told there was a "good" "Better" and "Best" fix, $300, $550, or $1700. I opted for the "better" fix. After they took all the clothes from my closet and prepared for work. They came to me with some "bad news." The only way they could fix it was the $1700 fix. BUT for $21 dollars a month we can give you a 15% discount. Every alarm in my head was screaming DON"T DO IT! IT IS A SCAM!! So I politely asked them to put it back the way it was and I would have to save my nickels and dimes to be able to afford that repair. He then told me "well I think we might be able to do it for $1400" AH, no thanks, don't have that much either. To ad insult to injury they charged me $150 for their "call." My shower was now totally unusable (before the water flowed, it was just not getting hot) they left the fixtures on the floor, AND they left the mess they had made of the closet. I called two other plumbers for an estimate and was quoted a maximum of $900. I ultimately had the repair done by another plumbing company for $800 (which was probably still higher than it should have been considering it took all of an hour and 15 minutes to fix it)

I called Bob Hamilton for a water heater/expansion tank install. His prices were way over other plumbers estimates. For example, a 10yr warrenty 50gal gas water heater install was going to cost $1781. The expansion tank--get this--was going to cost $449 extra. I mentioned that I priced expansion tanks at Home Depot and Lowes that cost under $100. He said that he didn't know anything about those prices. Hmm...isn't that your responsibility to know that? Smells fishy. I wont be calling him again.

I was happy with the service. The technician was prompt. They were available short notice for me more than once. The technician tried to save me money. The system has been working well since and it's pretty old and inefficient. They have also done a major plumbing renovation for me 6 years ago, and I've had no problems since.

The young technician did a great job. He got the drain cleaned and everything is working great.

Evans M came out to service our AC unit, getting the unit ready for summer. He was extremely professional, polite, and took the time to review his findings. We have an older A/C unit which we know at some point and time we will have to replace. Evans was very professional and said he would like to complete the inspection and testing and then sit down with us to discuss his findings. We set up an appointment to have comfort consultant come out and visit with us. We will definitely use Bob Hamilton for our service needs in the future.

Performed the service described in the "Big" deal. Explain what was done. Did not try to sell me work or parts not needed. I appreciate this professionalism.

The plumbers were efficient and cleaned up any mess.

Tech. gave us a qoute of $1,100.00 for a basic toilet installation, bathroom faucet installation that included rerouting the drain under the sink and repairing a leaky shower drain. We had already purchased the toilet and faucet from Home Depot. The breakdown of cost was $509.00 for toilet installation, $598.00 for faucet installation, and he threw in the leaky shower drain repair for free. The price was too high and we will never call Bob Hamilton again.

The Bob Hamilton representative was professional and courteous. He completed the job as promised and did a good job cleaning up the site. However, the price seemed high for the work performed. I saw an Angie's List review for the company where a customer mentioned the company's satisfaction guarantee and got a no hassle refund of part of the charges. Encouraged by that, I requested and also received a significant refund. This company really does a great job of standing behind their work and a offers a great guarantee.

Chris B. was the technician that came to our home for the semi-annual check on a new system we purchased from Bob Hamilton in the summer of 2011. He was very courteous and careful to not make any kind of mess in our home. I was very satisfied with how he explained any issues with me and provided a much cheaper alternative to replace a part than would normally be expected. I would also interject here that the Rudd unit we had installed two years ago has been everything that Bob Hamilton said it would be. Our electricity usage has fallen by about 30% and our natural gas consumption about 15% from the previous years. I am a bit surprised that the savings has been that much because I retired 10 months ago and set the thermostat to my comfort during the day rather than setting to save energy when I was away at work. The system is quiet and I feel like Bob Hamilton is providing great follow-up care.

The service turned out fine. They did a good job.

We had to change our original service date and Kaila was excellent in keeping up the communications between us - she was also extremely polite and friendly over the phone. She called to let us know we were the next on her list and again a while later to say the technicians were on their way and they arrived when she said they would. The two service men were very polite and friendly and in clean uniforms (kind of surprising for the work they do). They worked very efficiently and had the job done in no time at all. There was absolutely no disturbance to either my husband or myself (except the cat didn't like it) and they left the area cleaned up. I would not hesitate to use them again (even at full prices) and would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing services.

As I said the technician performed the service that the Deal was for. My main drain needs to be cleared because I have tree roots that occasionally cause the drain to stop up. It had been quite a while since it had been done and I felt it was better to be safe than sorry and have to pay a much higher price since this was such a good deal. Young man was pleasant and professional and it was nice that there were no added costs, which is so often the case.

They called me when I was the next customer on their list and then called me again when the representative was due to arrive. He rooted the main drain and answered all my questions. Fortunately, we didn't have any major issues with junk plugging the drain.

A very professional technician came out and performed a video inspection showing a blockage 3/4 of the way to the main sewer line. A second visit cleared it with no additional charge

Should be called Crazy Bob. His prices are insane. Here is what the price they quoted me. Unplug drain: $243.29 Garbage disposal: 364.94 Faucet: $399.93 And to add further insult a $48.00 service fee for comming out. I cut my losses at the service fee. Hind site being 20-20 I should have just said sue me for it. Only reason I called to begin with was my regular plumber was out of town when the drain plugged up. He did it all for less than this guy wanted just for the drain unplugged
