Install went fine but they left a large oil spot on my driveway. They promised to come and try and clean it up. They have not been out to clean the oil spot and have not contacted me. I emailed the salesman and I have not received a reply. Looks like they took the money and ran.

We called the copany on Sunday night and determined it was not an emergency. They came out Monday morning. The serviceman was very professional and stayed on task, completing his job in about 30 minutes. They will come out again on Friday to do a follow-up of the main drain, using a camera, at no charge.

I had heard the jingle on the morning TV many times and so I called. The young lady who answered the phone was pleasant, courteous, and professional. We scheduled the visit and she told me there would be a mandatory $48 cost for the visit. This seemed reasonable so I booked it. I called at 8AM and they said they'd be out by noon or so but would call me an hour ahead. All of this happened exactly as they said. The service man showed up on time, was friendly and professional. He came in and looked at the slow drip (about a cup full every day) and said it was no problem. He put together the quote and it was $540 to change out a single copper valve. I had taken the day off work and couldn't take another day off, so I reluctantly agreed to the service. The entire job took less than 45 minutes and the materials were less than $50. I talked to my neighbor who had the same thing done a year earlier for under $150. Although everyone was nice and professional, I won't use their services again. Too too expensive.

Called because I was having problems with a hammering noise when the faucets turned off and the toliets flushed and the water pressure was diminishing in the shower. I was given a time period of 2-5 pm The plumber arrived after 4pm and unfortunately could not hear the hammering noise. He did however think the PRV valve was going bad and thought I should replace that along with installing a thermal expansion tank for a total of $1300. He also wanted me to purchase a service contract to get a slight discount but that would cost me $10 a month for at least 12 months. He also said since he couldn't hear the hammering, it may or may not solve the problem. I thought the price was high and decided to check around so paid the $48 service charge and decided to think about it. After checking the top rated companies on Angie's List, I found the price Bob Hamilton charged to replace the PRV value was indeed over twice the amount other companies charged and no service contract is required. I ended up using a different company and spent $300 to replace the valve, was told that the expansion tank was probably not needed and to wait to see if the valve solved the issue. This company also did not charge for an estimate. It has been a month now and no hammering noise and good water pressure. I wish I had checked Angie's List first but live and learn!

Glad I shopped around. Prices from 7 different plumbing companies varied dramatically. Bob Hamilton's pricing wasn't the lowest but it was roughly 45% below the highest bid (like I said, glad I shopped around). Bobby Hamilton came out promptly to bid the project. He was more thorough, responsive and punctual than all the other plumbers. The team was available within a reasonable amount of time. The 2man crew was professional and apparently very experienced. After one day of work with a mini-backhoe, the guys were done--despite encountering lots of underground rock . Details, they used the pipe-burst method--replacing roughly 40 feet of old clay pipe with new indestructible pipe. In other words they dug 2 holes, one large hole-- ~4 x 8x12' (at the city sewer connection) and one smaller hole -- ~4x4x10' (at the house). They didn't have to trench my entire back yard. (NOTE, one company wanted to dig a 15' wide trench the whole length of the sewer line, taking 3+ days.) Shop around as you see fit. But I encourage you to include Bob Hamilton in your bidding process.

Not well. The technician quoted me several prices for the service ranging from the "just get by" level of around $800 to the "gold level" of over $2,000. I later had the work performed by a competitor for less than $200 and the new vent pipe is working great! While I think their quality of work is acceptable, their prices are not competitive.

Our technician Eric Ruvalcava was great. He thoroughly explained the problem to us and was patient while we asked a lot of questions. His work was fast and efficient. The price was about $200 higher than we had paid 7 years ago to have the same sump pump installed, but we didn't price compare so that could be the going rate. Would recommend Bob Hamilton - especially the technician that helped us.

The only complaint is the price. The plumber replaced the shut off valve in about 15 minutes, but, had a set fee he had to charge. Very over-priced. Advise to shop around for a plumber that will charge a reasonable price. I would have called a different plumb er, but, would have had to pay $48.00 just for the plumber to make a house call, regardless if he did the work.

A representative came to the home and spent well over an hour going over the HVAC system (which we had installed in 2009 by Bob Hamilton) to determine the best and most cost-effective way to mitigate the problem of the master bedroom on the upper floor being too hot in the summertime. Many calculations later and a peek into the attic space determined that we needed to zone our HVAC and most importantly re-insulate the attic to current building code of R48 (it was only R19 when the house was built). We probably should have done this when we originally replaced the old HVAC, but didn't want to spend the extra money at that time. The system was divided into two zones, one on the uppermost floor and the other on the main floor of the house. Each floor has its own thermostat which is programmed to our specific lifestyle. The upstairs thermostat was placed in the master bedroom and the downstairs thermostat replaced the current single one we had. What an amazing difference! The upstairs is programmed to start cooling off about 8 pm so that by bedtime it is very comfortable. The downstairs is cooled during the daytime and then is programmed to be warmer during the night. Both thermostats are on a programmed schedule which we can alter at any time if needed. Our favorite feature is that we have remote access to both thermostats and can make changes if needed when we are not home via our cell phones or tablets. The crew arrived on time and ready to work each day. The first day was a full-day's job as they prepped the attic for the insulation and made the modifications to the air ducts and baffles. One the second day they blew the insulation into the attic and cleaned up everything. That took about five hours. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional and once they were gone, you would have no idea that they had been in the house due to the fact of the excellent clean up job they did. We are very pleased.
Description of Work: Added blown in insulation to the attic, zoned the HVAC system, installed two smart thermostats.

They are completely dishonest or incompetent.
Description of Work: Absolutely NOTHING The service technician and sales person gave incorrect diagnostic information which lead to them providing inappropriate price quotes for product and services. The price quotes for the incorrect diagnosis was absurdly and outrageously high. They quoted me two price points: 1) to replace a compressor $4500 2) to replace the entire air conditioning unit $10,000 What I paid was $575 to replace a bad motor in the air conditioner which corrected my problem COMPLETELY!! These people are rip off artists at Bob Hamilton. Don't use their services unless you have a second opinion

The service eventually ended up turning out okay. They worked me in with scheduling and I did have to wait a while for the work. The first guy did not completely open the unit and they insisted on taking a photo of the service and it was determined that he did not get everything. They sent a second person to finish the job as I had to call and ask them. The price for the service was good. The scheduling with them is not efficient as I found out that they call before your appointment and if your line is busy they will put you on the bottom of the list for repairs after that. I would consider using them again if I had to.

It went fine. The plumber was a nice guy and worked fast. The work took less than an hour. He pointed out a couple of other plumbing improvements that I could have done in the future.
Description of Work: Bob Hamilton Plumbing found where a copper water pipe burst, cut out the open section and connected the two ends with PEX tubing. They were very fast once they arrived at my house. They were not able to fix the burst pipe on the same day it burst because they were busy with other similar complaints at other houses. It was very cold that week.

I called and made an appointment for 10:00 a.m. on a Monday. I left very specific instructions that I had started a new job and that they could not call my cell phone number to confirm my appointment because I would be at work and couldn't answer my phone. I left very specific instructions that they should call my boyfriend's cell phone because he would be at my house waiting. I told the person who made my appointment this at least 4-5 times because it was important. On the day of my appointment, they called my cell phone to confirm my appointment. Of course, I didn't answer because I was at work. When I called them back an hour later, they advised that they saw my boyfriend's cell phone number in their records but had not called it to confirm the appointment and the technician was already on another call. They advised that he could be at my house at 11:30 a.m. I advised that this would be fine. At 1:00 p.m. my boyfriend called and said he was still waiting on the technician to arrive. I then called Bob Hamilton's office and was advised that the technician was held up but would be coming as soon as he was done. At 2:30 I callled Bob Hamilton's office again and asked to speak with a supervisor. The girl who answered wanted to know why and when I told her I wanted to complain about the mix up in the cell phone number she placed me on hold then came back on the line 10 minutes later and told me the supervisor was not available and if I left my number he would call me back. I didn't hear back from the supervisor so I called again at 3:30 p.m. and was advised I could leave a message on his voice mail which I did. I never received a call from the supervisor and after reading other reviews on Angie's List, I guess I can thank my lucky stars. It seems this company is incompetent, over priced and the technicians are total idiots! I will never use this plumbing company and would never recommend Bob Hamilton Plumbing to anyone for any reason.
