Design assistance in showroom was excellent. Was told that installation would be within two weeks and it was 3.5 weeks. Was assigned two different install teams, one for granite and another for tile. Granite project manager was grumpy and tile was great. Extremely poor communication between the two teams and one would say that the other would take care of certain parts. Communication was very one sided, until they wanted the money for their balance. Then they called a couple times a day. Tile looks great, but seam on the granite counter. Dry wall was damaged (which probably could not be avoided), but not properly spackled upon completion of the job). Good experience if you are prepared to project manage your project.

Global Stone sent their employee out to measure area for tear out and install of flooring and did not honor their original estimate. Original estimate of $12,329.42. Deposit of $7,400.00 and material were delivered to our home. Once delivered both owners of the store came out to review project and increased our original bid from $12,329.42 to $13,986.88 a 13% increase. Saying that the tear out was more expensive than originally bid. We had no choice other than to accept the increase. We asked for them to honor their original estimate but they wouldn't consider it. As far as I'm concerned we were misled. If there wouldn't of been a restock fee I would of sent the product back. In addition to the cost the project was 4 days late getting started. At this point all I can say is Global Stone needs to practice better business if they want to stay in business.

We had used them in the past for a rental property and had no problem, Dave was great to work with. So for our personal house we used them again. That's when the trouble began. First our Granite was ordered wrong...apparently the kind we ordered has two shades, we had seen the sample and told them we wanted that exact color...the wrong one was ordered...mistakes happen we get it so we wanted to be flexible. We asked for a discount if we kept it the way it was...the discount was barely nothing because they could resell it if we didn't want it. So we had to wait for the correct one to be ordered and installed. Next the hardwood floor because we had an old house we needed thick hardwood to cover the imperfections of the subfloor. So we were wanting the 3/4" thick. At the GS showroom we confirmed that the wood we were ordering was the thickness of the sample we were holding. Well when it was delivered it was so thin the installers told us this wouldn't work on our floor. When we asked GS about it they said the sample we saw was nailed to another piece of wood, that is why it looked so thick. Well they couldn't offer us the wood we needed for the price we had allotted and already paid for, so we cancelled that with them. Finally the carpet...we got what we ordered but they forgot about the master closet so we didn't have flooring there for a few weeks. In our basement where the carpet meets our tiled kitchen they left it as a raw edge didn't turn it over or anything so soon it's gonna start fraying. Then get this...we have stair lights to our basement they carpeted over them leaving live electrical and covering up light bulbs, upon our request they came and cut them out. We still don't have the raw edge fixed and doubt we will since they got there money and the quality of the carpet is not good, we have only been in the house 5 months and its showing wear spots. Our advice run from them. After doing some research they are connected to Admiral Home Concepts which has a BBB rating of F...they don't have a website and have moved around so many times. It's sad the employees are so nice but the quality and work isn't. We lost so much time with these mistakes, next time we will use NFM or Big Bobs.
