Electronic Center

I have used The Electronics Center in the past and had pretty good luck with them . I called them in October 2021 to see if they would fix my amplifiers, I had 2 identical amps needing repairs. They told me I would be put on a waiting list for at least 6 months and I would need to pay $150 per amp for them to be repaired. 8 months later I called and they said they were still not to my number yet but they would take it in and look at it when they got a chance. 2 weeks later they called and said it was going to cost $400 dollars for 1 amp to be fixed and the other they couldn’t fix. They said I could come pick them up if I didn’t want to have them fix them. But, they still charged me the $300 I initially paid. I think it is ridiculous to pay that for looking at an amp and not doing any type of repair. I will NEVER use them again for any type of repairs for any electronic equipment!

Overall, a very good experience. I brought the unit in and described the problem. The owner asked several questions, then took several days to diagnose the problem and called me with a quote for the repair. They finished the work within another five days, and it has worked perfectly ever since. Based on that experience, i've taken several more units in for service and/or repair, and the experience has been great every time. The owner takes the time to understand the problem, listens carefully, and is very good about answering questions to assure that you understand the problem. I feel very confident that this is a repair service you can trust.

THEY CHARGE $35 + TAX TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. REPAIR ESTIMATE WAS $72.53 TO FIX THE UNIT. THEY CALLED AND SAID UNIT WAS READY. TOOK IT HOME. DID NOT WORK PROPERLY AND HAD SAME ORIGINAL PROBLEM. 30 DAY WARRANTY. TOOK IT BACK. THEY SAID IT WAS READY AGAIN. WENT TO PICK UP AND THEY WANTED AN ADDITIONAL $11.29 IN PARTS ONLY. IT WAS FIXED THE SECOND TIME I PICKED IT UP. TOTAL CHARGE WAS $121.45. MY PROBLEM WITH THEM IS WHY WASN'T IT FIXED THE FIRST TIME I TOOK IT IN AND WHY WAS I CHARGED FOR PARTS WHEN THEY COULDN'T FIX IT RIGHT FOR THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE THEY QUOTED ME? I DIDN'T HAVE THE OPTION OF SAYING NO AT THIS POINT INTO THE REPAIR SINCE THIS WAS A ''WARRANTY REPAIR'' AT THIS POINT. I COULD HAVE BOUGHT A SIMILAR, NEW UNIT FOR $80+TAX. THEY ARE GREAT ON THE PHONE. VERY POLITE AND INTERESTED. THEY MAKE YOU WAIT FAR TOO LONG WHEN YOU GO INTO THE BUSINESS THOUGH. I WON'T USE THEM AGAIN.

VERY GOOD. THEY ARE FAST, UNLESS THEY HAVE TO ORDER A PART. THEN THE TIME VARIES.
