They did a good job. We had just moved in and had some things needed done.

Everyone at Dick Ray was very professional, efficient and kind. We were grateful for their help.

Came right at the scheduled time. The person who came was not the one whose name and photo they had sent, but he was friendly and did the job quickly and professionally. It required replacement of a cartridge that screwed way down into the top of the pressure tank. My only complaint is that his hourly labor rate is just slightly below what I pay my attorney.

As usual, with the Dick Ray company, Zac did a superb job on the repairs He has worked many jobs at our house, and he is always kind, courteous, and very professional. Every employee of the company with whom we've dealt has been likewise. Besides being the best at what they do, this company has the highest standards and integrity of any service company with whom we've dealt! Their work ethic and honesty is above reproach. Excellent group of people; finest in the business!! I would recommend them to everyone.

Very well, problems were replaced or fixed

This is our 3rd outing with Dick Ray. Prompt and attentive, knowledgeable, friendly. Honest about costs up front. Don't seem to mind an over-interested homeowner tagging along and asking questions. Work completed quickly. We have asked for the same guy several times - makes sense to us for someone to get to know our old house and its idiosyncrasies. We asked for a re-visit on one job; we thought something hadn't been done properly. Turns out it was our equipment that was failing, and they didn't charge for that visit. Better to call for info and appointment - response to the online module uneven - just depends on who's in the office, it seems.

It was okay - he did a bit of a band-aid fix, which I okayed since we were moving. In retrospect, I probably should have pushed for a more comprehensive fix, but that's not really his fault.

While our house was on the market we received an offer but needed immediate service in order for the contract to be valid. I spoke with Lisa at the office and then Ryan who is a manager. He came out right away to meet with my realtor and resolved the issue! It was incredible! Then he wrote a letter to the potential buyer clarifying and resolving the issue. I will never use anyone else for my plumbing needs! AMAZING!

They showed up the same day, about 2 hours after I called in. Great! The guys figured out the problem and cleaned from a couple different access spots in the yard. The were knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Great service!

I will contact the company when I have another plumbing job -- I hope to get fair treatment then.

Gas lines had to be run and unit had to be mounted. Everything was hooked up and tested.

Dan found the leak, repaired/retightened piping and hoses. Re-set the toilet tank with new connectors, and, in the process, I learned that there had been a small leak, of which I had been unaware. I was grateful because I certainly didn't want a water-soaked/rotted floor under the toilet later. I have used Dick Ray's crews in the past and they have always been efficient, respectful and talented.

That was all he did. I wasn't told about the $166 mininmum charge when I called for service. I knew they would charge something, but $166 is really high for a one-size-fits-all charge. Word to the wise -- call another plumber if there is any chance it is a small problem. I don't doubt they do good work, so I might use them again if I know it is a bigger problem. I chose them because the reviews emphasized they're honest on big jobs. Based on other companies' charging about $100 for snaking a drain, I figured their prices would be similar.

Zack arrived in the morning as scheduled. He and Dan removed the old air conditioner unit and rebuilt the new concrete pad to hold the air conditioner. Zack removed the freon from the old unit, and Dan took the old unit away for disposal. Zack then commenced to install the new unit: He replaced the coils inside the house, rebuilding the metal structure around the coils; he ensured it was properly sealed so there was no leakage; he even checked and resealed another unit which had previously been installed by another company (who was not nearly as proficient or thorough). Zack worked diligently for approximately six hours, always assuring not to track in dirt and debris when coming in and out of the house. (He had covered the floor with tarp). We have lived in our house for 14 years and had dealt with a couple of inept companies before "discovering" Dick Ray Master Plumber Co. Zack has been to our house before and has always done a superb job. Dick Ray and all his employees are some of the most honest people with whom we've ever dealt. They are excellent in their work are consistently kind and courteous. I cannot say enough good things about the company and their work ethic, and I would always recommend them to anyone.

The diagnosis and repair went very well. Zac Wooten, the technician, was very thorough and professional. He recognized the problem immediately and did the repair in a timely and expert manner. Not only is Zac an expert at his profession, he is very kind and courteous. We have found one of the main characteristics we have noted regarding Zac, Dick Ray, and any member of the company with whom we've spoken or dealt is their complete honesty. I would trust this company to do any work with which their business deals and I would overwhelmingly recommend them to anyone.

My call was immediately answered. Dan, the service man responded professionally, by unloading heavy equipment to quickly dislodge the obstruction (which turned out to be caused by tree roots, and a small scrap of fabric) he pumped the "sludge" and rinsed the surrounding area. What a job. Don't try to do this yourself. You need real professionals with big machines. Dan then informed me of preventative measurs we could use to safely treat the sewer lines to avoid future root obstructions. The worker treated me with respect, and quickly worked to help me with my problem.

Zach is awesome! We had another plumbing company come out last week and it was a joke. Two different people came on two different days and neither one knew what to do. Zach logically proceeded through problem determination and resolved the issue, and without tearing out walls, etc (which had been suggested by another company). As always, Zach and the Dick Ray company are reliable, competent, and you need not worry about whether they are doing the right things! Dick Ray is on the expensive side, but after being without second floor plumbing for 5 days, due to another company's confusion about what to do, I am willing to pay the price to have the real professionals take care of things and pay their prices. Believe me, it's worth it!

Called in am and Zack was there about 3:00 pm. He had it replaced in less than an hour. He was actually there before his scheduled time. Zack does great work . We highly Dick Ray and all his people.

I've been putting off writing this review because I wanted to do a good job, but I didn't want to miss my opportunity to applaud a company that provides top notch service and a touch of common sense in a crazy world. I own a rental house that used to be my mom and dad's home. It sits on an acre, and the water supply line is loooong. It developed a leak, evidenced by a permanent muddy patch in the front yard. I called three plumbers who I won't name, and they all said the same thing, almost like they were reading a script. They said that if the line was leaking, it absolutely needed to be replaced from the meter to the house. They gave me three prices ranging from $19,000 to $27,000 for this work. I think that's dangerously close to the value of the house. I was really desparate, and I called Dick Ray at S-M Plumbing. He asked a number of well considered questions over the phone, and suggested that replacing the line should be the last resort (sounds like common sense to me). He suggested that he could send a crew who could dig in the muddy area and try to find and fix the leak, estimated to be $3-$5000. That sounded a lot better than $20,000. And by the way, I'd rather give someone $20,000 to fix my water line if I knew they had exhausted more conservative approaches first, something that no other plumber (out of a total of four) was willing to consider. Anyway, they came out, and Dick came too, the leak was fixed in a day, and it cost about $3000, at the low end of my expectations based on our phone calls. Dick Ray is a brilliant plumbing guy, but in talking to him, I'm also convinced that his staff is just as good. They all recieve regular (weekly) training and he really encourages professionalism in his staff. I would/will call him the very next time I have a plumbing/heating/cooling problem, because I really think that honesty and common sense should be rewarded. Plus I got my problem solved for thousands less than any of the competing companies I called, and dealing with Mr. Ray and SM PHC was a real pleasure.

These guys are dependable, fast, and know all about everything plumbing, heating and airconditioning. Polite and well-informed.

I called Dick Ray Plumbing to schedule a time when a plumber could come to my house to run a water line to my refrigerator. There was not one when we moved into our house a week earlier. The person on the phone said someone could come that afternon. Mike showed up on time and was under the impression he was just hooking the refrigerator up to an existing water line. He determined he could run a water line to the fridge, did the prep work, and said he would need to come back in two days to finish the job. Mike showed up on time, once again. He completed the water line hook up. He placed a shut off valve on the water line and showed me where he placed it and how it worked. I am very pleased with the work Mike did and his courtacy. The bill of $525 was steep. I will definately check around for pricing the next time I need a plumber.

Dick Ray employees are the best in the business. They were kind, courteous, and professional every step of the way. Above all, the company holds the highest standards; their integrity is beyond reproach.

Arrived on time. Made a quick tour of all items to be repaired. Authorized repair. Total time about 1+ hour for all repairs.

Overall experience was terrible and we are two months further down the road with no work done.

Pretty well...he got the job done in a timely manner. He was knowledgable and fast to act on the issues presented. He did a great job...and at $207/hour he better.
