On this occasion Dave replaced my water heater. I had previously used him for a plumbing emergency after calling a friend (who I knew used and raved about him) to get his phone number. He came within the hour that time and fixed my problem promptly charging barely more than for the parts he used. I found him a delightful young man in business for himself as a master plumber. So when I noticed water leaking in my basement 6 months later, I once again called Dave. He came before the end of the day to be sure what the problem was. Once we determined that my 27 year old water heater had finally died, we discussed options and prices, then set the replacement for 9am the next morning. Unfortunately, an emergency plumbing situation came up and he called me apologetically and asked if it would be possible to get to me after noon. Since mine was not an emergency and I had nothing else urgent that day we moved it to around 1pm. He was here as promised and replaced the afore mentioned water heater. .He was knowledgeable, professional and very personable. Since he quotes his prices by the work to be done and not by the hour, if it takes longer then estimated, it isn't costing me!! He hauled off the old water heater and totally cleaned up after himself. I was very pleased with his service. If you are interested in an independent contractor who does good work, at what I considered reasonable prices, I would highly recommend David Selders.
