+ -1 moreI actually ordered the deadbolts from them and tried to install them myself. I tried to order them before Christmas and got back from Christmas vacation expecting the locks to be in and they actually hadn't ordered them yet. So they were very slow to order and then even slower for the locks to come in. I don't think that was their problem. I think it was who they were getting them from. Actually Daryl has been very helpful and giving me advice about how to install the stuff myself. He has been very helpful with explanations and today I was sending him pictures and he called me back to answer some of my questions. Daryl has been really good to work with.
Description of Work: I purchased deadbolts from Chet's Lock and Key.

+ -1 moreThe installation of the deadbolt was done to our satisfaction. However, we also wanted a quote on installing locks on a French door. The installer told us that he would have to get back to me with a quote. I indicated that I wanted to take care of the matter promptly -- and take advantage of not having to pay a fee for the return service call. The installer never contacted me with the quote. After three weeks, I called and complained...and was told that the installer would get back to me promptly. I never heard from him.
Description of Work: We've used this provider on multiple occasions. The most recent trip involved installing a deadbolt on a closet door.

+ -1 moreThe keys were cut and worked however, technician cut all fourteen keys from the same master instead of cutting 7 each from each of the two master keys provided. When I returned to the store seven days later they demanded a sales slip, I didn't have one so I had to pay another $17 to have the second master key copied. The technician was not sympathetic to my problem. Keys did work well. Total cost for 7 copies each from 2 masters $45.16.

+ -1 moreI prepaid first then for the two car remotes and they came about a week later. They were able to program them in about 10 minutes for the Camry. All buttons work.
Description of Work: They are very good place for factory orginal remotes for Toyota. I had to get two for my 2002 Camry they work great!

+ -1 moreI cringe to spend what I did on a key & remote for my car, but judging from my research, his pricing is more than fair. Plus, he's one of the only locksmiths in K.C. who has the equipment to do this sort of work. I was actually referred to him by another locksmith who didn't have it. Would definitely go back.
Description of Work: This place seems like it's a one man show which brings good & bad. I went in to get a copy of my remote & key for my car. The man who was working there was answering phones left & right but found time to take care of me. Rekeying an electronic key like mine takes some time, & there was a line forming by the time he was finished. The remote he programmed wasn't working properly, & so I had to go back. He took care of the problem & replaced the remote right away (since the line of people was finally gone). Basically, he knows his stuff & will take care of you--just be sure to leave plenty of time in case there are others waiting.
