Brunners Quality Decks

They were responsive and they gave us a quote. We did not feel like communication was good, and they were not understanding what we were trying to communicate with them. When you are talking about a deck with multiple levels, you have stairs. We are doing an entry on a kind of a hilly lot on a raised ranch. It is gonna solve a lot of problems with our front yard. When you are showing someone pictures of a similar thing, and one contractor understood it right away and asked questions, and this guy we got quote but we didn't feel he really understood what we really wanted. He was nice. They bid on both things, and if we had gone back to them and said we want to clarify that we are on the same page as far as the project, and where we want it to be, we probably would have gotten there. To be honest, by the time you call all these people and you start with, and you call 10 people, and you may get, if you are lucky, 3 or 4 responses, even from Angie's List people. One guy that was not on your list at all, said he would come back and he was working on the estimate I'll do it next weekend and finish it and we never heard from him again. They did a good job for somebody but didn't follow through with us. People used to give good customer service, either that or there is just a shortage of service providers. It is just hard to get people to respond to you. I know it is their busy season and all of that but we started calling people in March. We did not get a written bid; it was a phone call message. All he did was leave us a number on our voice mail. I think he was really good, except we didn't get - I don't expect a guy to give me a detailed drawing or anything, but I want to know we are on the same page when giving a rough quote. I didn't get enough to know or have any confidence that we were on the same page. The other contractor was much better. We have a good experience so far all along with them. We hope their work comes up to what we have been told it is. I would maybe use them in the future if I had a different kind of project.

From the start everything has been great. Lawrence came out to our house within a couple days to take a look. One week later we had an estimate outlining everything that would be done. We weren't in a rush to get our deck replaced, so we waited until whenever they had time. They came out on a Monday to start the job, and within a couple hours they had everything torn down. The crew consisted of 6 or 7 guys so they got that done quick. The job was completed that Thursday. Over that time, Lawrence was very easy to get ahold of. Any changes we wanted done were done exactly as we requested. His crew that worked on our deck were awesome. I can't say enough good things about them. Very nice guys. I had absolutely no doubt that our deck wasn't going to built right by these guys. Our neighbor was even impressed with the quality of the deck and how they were going through the lumber to choose boards that were of good quality to use. We are very happy with how our deck turned out. It was built exactly as we wanted. Lawrence did provide us with a number for a gentleman to stain the deck, which I thought was very nice of him. I would recommend Brunner's to anyone any day.

The renovated deck turned out to be a beautiful deck. Lawrence and his crew did an outstanding job. The crew was very professional, hard workers, and did what was on the detailed plan. I was really impressed with their work.

Brunner's bid was actually the lowest and I have equal confidence in my 3 Angie's List bidders. Brunner's bid was $2845 lower than the next bid. (I actually went with a family member, who is a good carpenter.) Lawrence exhibited courtesy, punctuality, a good feasible bid and competence. He showed good patience with my bid gathering and my further questions, just trying to be thorough. I am a single woman homeowner and I appreciate this level of courtesy. I will certainly keep Brunner's in mind. We do a lot of talking things up at our HOA meetings.

Contractor is NONE RESPONSIVE, two inquiries through website over the last month … researching other options.

It went really pretty smoothly. The whole project was completed within a week. There was a property line clearance that needed to be considered and a lower patio doorway that needed to be accommodated with deck design adjustments done in the moment and with our involvement to solve the issues perfectly. For weeks after the job was done, we had neighbors asking who did our deck, since it is easily seen from the road that runs near the house. It turned out great and we're very happy! FANTASTIC. Lawrence, their sales representative, kept us up to date on things as they developed. Problems caused by the City, questions and progress being made. Crew was prompt, considerate and responsive as well. Would definitely use again and recommend everyone else use them as well.

The guys from Brunner's Quality Decks did an outstanding job on my new deck. I am always a little nervous hiring someone for a fairly big project as it involves a decent sized investment. I met with Lawrence when deciding who to hire and I read the reviews on Angie's list and decided to hire his company. When they came out to start the work, Lawrence and his crew were outstanding. The crew: Brandon, Brett, Nick, Dion, and Donte did an outstanding job. You can tell that they really enjoy their work and take pride in doing a great job. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

The job started out with an on time appointment with Lawrence who walked through the design and dealt with several changes to my design. He was extremely patient providing guidance all the way through the process. Then the crew, Dion, Brandon, Brett, Nick, and Dontae showed up on the day agreed to start. After 24 years serving with the U.S. Marines I can honestly say they worked just as hard, if not harder than many Marines that served with me. They put in a solid day, I never saw a single one not engaged doing something toward building the deck. Simply, they gave me hope in the twenty something blue collar worker and if you want a deck built to code and stronger than the house to which it is attached choose this rock solid company so that you can see this amazing team in action. Oh, and yes if you own a helicopter you could land it on it. I will use them again, however I expect they will be very busy this summer and I will have to patiently wait if I want it done right...which I will. I am so happy with my deck, do not wait to call them if you want the same.

The project went very smoothly and the results were just what I wanted! They were able to do the work more than a month ahead of schedule so I've been able to use my deck already! They were professional, prompt, efficient, picked up the area each day, finished in the time they said they would, and were great to work with. Lawrence Banks was very good to communicate with me throughout the project. I would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them to anyone contemplating a deck replacement.

We were extremely pleased with the outcome. The deck is lovely, much sturdier and well built than before. The crew was very courteous, professional and highly skilled. They were careful in our yard and always left things cleaned up. They worked well together and were consistently on task. Finished the job 2 days early. Lawrence did a great job of supervising and communicating with us not only during the project, but prior to the start in keeping us updated about schedules. We've had many compliments from neighbors and are really pleased with the way it looks and enhances our home. Couldn't recommend these folks highly enough!

It went great! They were efficient and did a beautiful job. They answered my questions, lots of compliments on deck, reasonably priced. They were prompt, they were always there and always working.

It rained like crazy just before, on the start date and in the middle causing a day or two delay. In spite of the rain, Lawrence met with my wife and I on the start date and hashed out the details. Then I headed to work. By the time I got home from work that first day, and they started late because of the rain, the old deck was in the dumpster and the framing for the new deck was taking shape. The crew was fantastic. They worked hard and did a wonderful job. Every crew member was doing something all the time only stopping for their lunch break. I think a couple of them even smoked but I didn't find a single cigarette butt anywhere! And, they all spoke English! Because of all the rain we had my yard was just plain soggy. The crew did their very best to move their work stations around as much as they could to minimize the damage to the lawn. I had a particular vulnerable area at the gate and they laid down boards from the old deck and picked them up every night to minimize the damage to that area. That helped tremendously and I really appreciate them doing that. We are very, very happy with how our deck turned out. The quality of work and attention to detail was fantastic. We are loving the extra space and have already had a couple of family gatherings on it. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with them. They would definitely be the first on my list for future projects and I cannot recommend them enough.

These guys are the poster child for build, repair and customer service in the deck business. Lawrence was extremely supportive and brought the supplier with him to inspect the deck. After considering our options, I contacted Lawrence a couple weeks later to replace the post. The transaction was painless and the post was replaced within the week, on the day and time promised ... to perfection.

I can't say enough good things about this company. They were on time every day. They cleaned up after themselves. They let me know where they were every step of the way. They far surpassed my expectations in all areas. I have already recommended them to friends.

From the initial contact with Lawrence to the install by Kerry and his men.......EXCELLENT from every aspect.......We did our research and got three to four bids and we just felt most comfortable with the overall up front way that Lawrence provided. We got on the tail end of the season and we realized that but again we picked the right company. Thank-you to the Brunner company, the the craftsmanship, professionalism, punctuality, clean as you go and attention to details made this feared endeavor a very pleasant one

Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Professionalism, quality of work, and cooperation of the work crew was superior. I highly recommend using Brunners. I would use them again but based on the quality of their craftsmanship I don't think that it will be necessary!! Top notch organization.

Estimate was given by Larry in a very timely manner, polite professional in all aspects. When we accepted the estimate we were told there were customers ahead of us and we said no rush that we could wait until spring of 2016. We got a call before Christmas stating they could come in a week or two and we asked to wait until January after the holiday. They came when the said they would. The workers and Larry were at the house every day as planned and notified us about everything they were doing. They got a dumpster asked us where we wanted it and they cleaned up every day. We are very pleased and would definitely use this company again! Excellent all the way around. !!!!

Brunners Quality Decks is THE best when it comes to building decks! I never felt any pressure once Lawrence came out and gave us our free estimate. After we got on their schedule the guys came out and starting getting to work. It only took them a week to complete and they arrived every morning on time and were very kind and professional! The deck is gorgeous! it is better then I ever imagined it could be! We are beyond happy with our deck! I would HIGHLY recommend Brunners Quality Deck

Beautiful work. Love our new deck. It was a long wait from estimate to the start date but well worth it. They quickly removed the old deck, repaired the siding where it had been damaged and put up the new deck with a pergola very quickly. We would absolutely use them again for any deck work. The price was very reasonable.

After we received multiple bids to repair insect and wood rot damage in our deck we had a couple meetings with Lawrence at our home. In the end we felt Brunners was the right choice for us. Lawrence put our project in line on the schedule and advised us it could be a couple months before work could begin. There was.no hesitation on our part ... somehow we felt it would be worth the wait. In the weeks that followed Lawrence kept us informed and was super responsive to my calls, answering all our questions and addressing concerns. After a schedule adjustment due to rain, the crew arrived first thing in the morning on the day promised and began the tear down. All worked quietly and with complete diligence throughout the project (three days on site). Building materials were delivered and the dumpster arrived and debris hauled away with precision timing. Very soon Carey's expertise was clearly evident and we appreciated the time he took to explain project changes, why, and what was happening at all times. The highly competent crew demonstrated care and pride in their work. We are very happy with the quality of work. These guys are the best and we would not hesitate to recommend Brunners to our friends and neighbors.

This project was great from start to finish. These guys are very good. If you need a new deck I whould give the a try. Price was good and the deck exceeded my expectations.
