Bly's Tree Care

Cutting the trees down was good however the equipment tore the yard up where the yard can't hardly be mowed now. Mr Bly promised he would come out with some dirt to fill in the craters they have caused more the several times and has failed to do so after 6 months. I would strongly suggest not using his service because we have been lied to. P

Were able to come the same day. They dumped the wood before we had a chance to look at it. The pieces were all different shapes and sizes. Many of the pieces were so long, there is no way they would fit in the fireplace. We rejected the load.

I worked with Jeff to schedule a good time that fit with the weather so that they wouldn't damage our yard. They showed up on time and did an excellent job removing/trimming trees. They cleaned up the yard and removed all the debris. They even hung new ropes for my tree swing!

Bly's was professional through each phase. They came highly recommended from a friend and we were not disappointed. They were considerably less expensive than the lowest of 3 other quotes. They were prompt and did everything they said and more. This is a great locally owned company. You can tell the crew (mostly family) enjoy each other and that customer service is high on their list. I Wouldn't hesitate to recommend their service and will be using again in the future.

They didn't show up. They weren't any good. They were really expensive. They wanted more to stack it and more to deliver it.

Based on reviews on Angie's List I called this business numerous times asking for a call back and a quote for firewood. One morning I finally reached someone who gave me info and an approximate timeframe when they would deliver. The date came and went. I called several more times and left messages. No call back. Again I finally reached someone one morning and they did not have any information. It was obvious to me that if they could not return phone calls or even schedule delivery that it wasn't someone I wanted to do business with.

Excellent wood, prompt service, fair price. Will use again.

On two occasions said they would come with the product on a specific day and within a certain window of time. Neither time did they show up at all. They did call the first time to reschedule, after the window of delivery already past, but then never followed up with delivery a few days later as promised. Then I called again and they again promised another delivery. Never heard anything again.

After being referred to them by several neighbors, they were quick to respond to my initial inquiry and to come out for an estimate. They were much cheaper than I expected. I called Jeff with a couple of questions about my bid and asked him to take care of a couple of additional items. No cost was added to the bid. The whole crew came out 4 days after our conversation and quickly took care of the job exactly as we expected. Quality, fast service at a price much cheaper than expected for the amount of work. Would use them again.

The gentleman who made the delivery was prompt, easy to work with, and most friendly. I will call them again for firewood and tree trimming.

They delivered the wood, dumped it at the far end of our driveway and I paid the guy and he left. He arrived on time and was very professional. My son and I stacked the wood in our rack on the back deck.

Jeff has worked for me before and did great work. I was happy to have him entertain more work. However, he promised late July on this work. Never did the work. In August, I called and left a message. No response. In early Sept, I called and got hold of Jeff. He said he had been down with a bad back, but promised to do the work and quot;end of next weekand quot;. Two weeks later, not done. I called and he said he was working again and would do my work and quot;end of next weekand quot;. Again, no show. I called and griped on his voice mail that he quoted this work and I accepted it. He needs to do it. No response. The realtor who gave me his name sent me a new tree service. Northern Tree. Turns out to be the same Jeff Fenton. Same phone number. Be careful, he is changing names to dodge a bad reputation.

Jeff and his crew were great. They cleaned up a very bad mess left by high winds that brought down several large tree limbs and left others hanging. I really appreciated their attention to detail.

Owner came by my house while performing work for a neighbor. He seemed courteous and gave me a quote for a tree that needed to be cleared over our roof. I called them back the next day and asked for them to come out, to which the lady said they would do the work later the same week. The next week came and went, no one showed up. I called back, later the second week, and the lady sounded confused as to who I was. She told me again they would be out later that week. And no one again showed up. I called and the lady said she would check on it and call me back in 2 hours maximum. She never called back! The same scenario repeated itself another time. Anyway, they never did show up! They have worked for my neighbor in the past and he seems to like them, which I guess is why I was persistent in trying to call back. Now I'm just aggravated they are so disorganized and wasted my time.

Wood was delivered on time, Owner was very friendly, got more wood for the same price than I have from other companies. Definitely would call them again.

Bly's Premium Firewood is an example of a company that knows what they need to do to make the customer happy. They were extremely prompt in scheduling the delivery of a cord of wood to my house in South Overland Park. Three company employees showed up at the scheduled time given to me. Two of the employees were a brother and sister, who operate the company with a couple of more siblings and parents. They didn't waste any time getting to work, and they did an excellent job of stacking the wood in the designated areas I had discussed with them. The wood was adeqately seasoned and wasn't too green nor too dry. The fee was actually $230, but because we lived so far in South Overland Park and because wanted a couple of other services, the total fee was $280. However, they provided me a quote up-front on the phone so there were no surprises. I had a supplier last year, whom I called this year. He never returned my 3 calls....not even to say that he was out of business or anything else. Finding a company which is IN BUSINESS from year to year, like Bly's has been for many years, is a plus. It's inconvenient and not worth the hassle to have to skip around every year or two to find another firewood supplier. Finding Bly's was a BIG PLUS !! I would NOT hesitate to recommend Bly's Premium Firewood. In fact, I would go out of my way to recommend them.

It was an excellent experience! People generally don't want to deliver less than a cord of wood. I called on a Monday and they delivered the wood on a Wednesday. They were able to accommodate my schedule and deliver the wood to me very quickly. This has been the third year that I have used them.
