Terrific - huge relief! Wish now that I had not procrastinated getting an estimate. I simply had no time previously and now that I had 2 weeks' time off for the Christmas holiday season, decided I would undertake what I assumed would be the unpleasant task of researching companies, securing an estimate, and beginning to face what I was sure was a significant mold problem. I have a 58 year-old home (which we love and hope to remain in forever - as we moved here for the ranch layout and hardwoods - perfect for 2 family members in wheelchairs). Unfortunately, our beautiful but older home has old, corroding copper pipes in the walls - and pipe in the wall beneath kitchen sink had a few leaks that leaked over time into the wall. After plumbers cut open sheetrock to repair sections of leaking copper pipe (twice) ...as the home warranty plan we have is great and covers removal and replacement of corroded sections of copper pipe for a small co-pay (but only covers removal & replacement of a few inches of pipe around the corroded area rather than covering replacement of the entire 5 ft run of pipe) and we've had a couple sections of pipe in the wall under sink replaced. Each time a section of pipe was replaced, plumbers opened up more sheet rock in the area to expose the pipe - which also exposed mold on a 2 x 4 and insulation in that area. Plumbers had also quoted cost of replacing the entire run of pipe - just in case I ever decide to replace my lower kitchen cabinets, noting that would be a good time to get rid of the entire run of copper pipe. So - back to the mold issue I had avoided for so long, assuming it would be expensive. After getting a few names of mold remediation companies from Angie's List, I quickly read the reviews & noticed several reviews for Advanta Clean of Kansas City mentioned this was not a company looking to secure work if professional assistance was not truly needed and often simply provide a recommendation and advice on how the homeowner can take care of their smaller-than-anticipated work on their own and avoid costly repairs. Reading the reviews provided some relief, and I hoped to get a visit and free estimate from Kevin, as reviews of him were really good. What I actually experienced when Kevin visited our home can't easily be described. My worries and concerns were immediately alleviated. Kevin was highly professional, describing national guidelines recommendations, noting our issue was less substantial than we had thought, and provided 3 different approaches that could be taken - detailing each. The first approach (and one he recommended) was free - simply cleaning up the area ourselves with vinegar and allow it to dry well, along with using a dehumidifier in the house (as humidity was reading high). The second approach (if uncomfortable cleaning the small area of mold on our own) was in the $350 range plus cost for asbestos testing (necessary in a home of our age to ensure crews would be safe while completing repairs) with asbestos testing through an independent company of our choosing (though Kevin could provide info if needed) running ~$400 (this entire second approach was deemed an unnecessary but available option by Kevin), and the third approach was ~$1200 (which covered a significant amount of work...removing lower kitchen cabinets, all sheetrock & insulation behind them, cleaning up the area and using HEPA fans) which Kevin noted was an 'aggressive' but available approach - should we prefer that. I had feared hearing $5k to $6k - so had done nothing for far too long. I wish I had called earlier!! I now have a plan that costs me nothing for now - which I feel safe with (priceless). And, since I already intended to pull out & replace lower kitchen cabinets after saving up a bit (& also replace the 5 ft run of copper pipe in the wall that started all these issues) I now have a solid idea of what it will cost to do the level of agressive mold remediation that I prefer to do (pulling out/checking/replacing insulation near the area) - once I'm ready to be without a functioning kitchen for a bit. Meanwhile, I am very comfortable managing the small area of visible mold on my own. And, will definitely be calling Kevin at AdvantaClean whenever I get around to replacing my lower kitchen cabinets, to do the level of unnecessary but precautionary checking I'd prefer to do. An outstanding, highly professional company that I will be using in the future, and would recommend to friends and family. THANKS!!

What a great company and response. We had some water issues from the recent bad weather. Kevin came out and checked everything for moisture and mold. He was really helpful, even though he didn’t find anything. Would “highly” recommend Kevin and AdvantaClean😎😎😎😎

Advanta set an appointment for someone to inspect. Their project manager Brandon Cook arrived promptly on time and made a careful inspection of the garage area and subsequently my basement where I had had a sump pump malfunction and substantial rainwater backup months before. In each case, he dismissed the concern of mold and explained areas where mold might develop and explanations as to what had probably caused the areas of concern. He was very professional, and helpful and reassuring with clear explanations. AdvantaClean did not charge for this inspection. I would definitely hire them if the need arose.

Brandon was wonderful! I called the company at 4:30 pm and he happened to be in the area and was at the house in 15 minutes. My 4 year old dishwasher leaked last summer and was repaired but found leaking at the same spot again last week with a $400+ estimate to repair. Hardwoods cupped under washer and about 1 foot out. Had been drying with a fan, but when the moisture meter arrived I ordered, it showed alot of moisture yet. So I was more concerned about mold possibilities. Brandon came in and used his infrared scanner to detect concerning moisture and a moisture meter. He stated he wasn't overly concerned at this point mold would have grown already, but helped set up a space heater with the fan behind it to speed drying time. He told me what to look for in the hardwoods and said to take pics when the appliance removed to assess for mold on drywall behind it and text him the pics. He stressed to dry asap but most likely mold shouldn't be a problem and encouraged me to call him any time with concerns. All consultation and advice free of charge. I'm trying to find a handyman to pull the machine before the installers come next week with the new machine. If there is concern for mold at all, I will absolutely use Brandon and AdvantaClean for any remediation needed. His promptness, integrity and honesty were so appreciated! I am encouraged I won't have a huge mess on my hands, but if I do, it can be handled. Brandon was in the home 20-25 minutes. Thank you!!

This was a three-day project to perform basement mold remediation and air duct cleaning. After the initial meeting, I had to rattle their cage a bit to get a bid and to get the project scheduled. The office told me the representative I had met with had gone on vacation. Once the project began, the crew that did the work was hard-working and professional. Overall, they did a good job. There were some surfaces that I think should have wiped down or wire brushed that weren't. I found one small hole in an air duct that wasn't sealed after the air duct cleaning. It would be ideal to have a follow-up by the company after the work is done to assure client satisfaction. These were the only issues that prevented me from giving a straight A rating across the board. However, I think their price was fair and would not hesitate to use this company's services again.

The Advanta team was superb in every way. During the proposal stage they documented the work to be done with specificity and answered each question we asked. During the project, the techs were unobtrusive, professional and responsive to our needs. The work was completed on the agreed upon schedule and our home tested clean to earn a clearance letter from our testing firm. Our family had dreaded the cost and disruption that we imagined the remediation would cause but Advanta performed its tasks in a manner which proved each of our concerns were unfounded. We recommend Advanta without reservation for mold remediation.

Kevin is a very pleasant and competent person to deal with. Performed a thorough assessment of the suspected problem. While he was here he checked all 3 floors of the house for good measure. His conclusion is that there isn't a mold problem. He explained what he was doing and why during the inspection. If we ever have a water or mold problem in the future we will for sure engage his company. He didn't try to sell us something that we don't need, that is the type of professional that he is.

Lisa and (?... so sorry, can't recall his name) did a fantastic job, were communicative about the process and even offered to help with small related things. When she got up to the kitchen vent, saw all the dust and debris that accumulates on top of the cabinets and offered to vacuum the tops of all of them, which I gladly accepted! They're friendly, professional, courteous and respectful of our time. I've used AdvantaClean before with great results and intend to use them for all my major household cleaning needs. Carpets are next!

We were experiencing a musty odor in our lower level, and through Angie's List, called Advanta Clean. The scheduling was prompt, and Brock was assigned. Brock conducted a very thorough inspection. Although he probably could have recommended an expensive remedy, he told us we only needed a dehumidifier. He suggested the size, place of purchase, where we should install it, and in fact, how to Install it with vents. NO CHARGE! That's what's called customer service!!!!!!

Brandon was great. He called me right back to schedule the apt and called me when he was on his way. He is very pleasant to talk with so I felt good right away that I had chosen the right provider. The did a great job. They vacuumed the water out of the carpet, sprayed deodorizer and set up fans. He even set up a dehumidifier that I had in the basement. Brandon and his helper (I didn't get his name) did a great job and I would recommend them. Thanks!

The owner/manager paid us a visit to assess the problem. His evaluation was very professional, and the information he shared with us was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. On the scheduled treatment date, the owner returned with two crew members and went over specific instructions with them. The entire process involved meticulous labor and took two days. This included sealing off the infected area and extracting mold from the surrounding air space using special equipment -- and wiping down all surfaces, including all exposed beams and other surfaces. All mold-ridden insulation materials were then removed. Crew members were also very professional, polite, and hard-working. They went out of their way to insure that every detail was taking of.

Kevin was referred to us by our realtor, Melissa Hills with Keyzio. First, Kevin Full, the owner, came and did a 2 hour consultation and moisture testing. He did an exceptional job of explaining the problem areas by reviewing the Pre-testing mold report (levels, kinds, location) before he even looked at the problem area. He was very professional in his presentation, explanation, demeanor, and appearance. He then did a very through visual and moisture testing exam. No charge for any of this, Remediation was completed within days of the consultation, the team spent 6 hours there and did a very good job. The were again very professional, cleaned the house thoroughly, explained their work, more and more, could not be a better experience given the not-so-fun circumstances of mold. His pricing is very fair, he does not sell fear, he sells the solution to fix the need for safety, to provide needed test results, and does is very fair in pricing. Also, he did a great job of proving referrals for third-party air testing and foundation repair for leaks. Great work Kevin, Tyler, and AdvantaClean. Would us them again, but I hope I don't have to:)

He brought 3 fans for 2-3 days. It was ridiculous. I felt taken advantage of.

They were good and were fairly professional. When it came time to clean my duct work, I wanted to make sure there wasn't any insulation, and they didn't check before hand. They shredded one of the insulations. However it didnt affect it for the worse. So we got lucky on that one.
