Contacted the owner and he met with me same-day. We identified the property and discussed the work to be done. He had an estimate to me the following week at substantially less than another contractor in the area. He had located the corner posts within a few days of being given the go-ahead, then set a time to meet on-site and ensure that the work was being performed to my satisfaction. On the appointed date, I was on-site but he was a no-show due to a miscommunication with one of his crew (this was the only disappointment of the job, and the reason that he does not get straight-A ratings). The second time, his man was on-site / on-time and ready to work. We walked over a mile of hilly, tick-infested, overgrown brush surveying the boundaries and marking them. His worker was polite, professional, and very hard-working. Once I was satisfied that he understood the intent and was prepared to complete the work, he continued the next couple of days until the project was completed. The billing rates compared very favorably with other surveyors in the area. Very pleased with this company and plan to use them again.
Description of Work: Research boundaries, then survey boundary lines and set corner posts, spikes, and lathes along all property lines.

Despite some difficulties in finding old boundary pins and with official maps that did not accurately reflect current roads and lot lines, Steve and his son persisted and worked all day to find enough pins to accurately define our lot lines. They work on a flat rate of $400, so despite the extra work, they were good to their word and did not charge us more nor reduced their services in other ways.
Description of Work: Steve and his son did a boundry survey of our residential lot in the city of Lawrence.
