Description of Work: Installed several little bushes and 2 trees on new house lot. Installed sprinkler system.The landscape designer we met with had NO idea for landscaping, so we came up with our own suggestions. He also told us nothing was guaranteed, which was not accurate as we later discovered. The laborers who installed the landscaping a few days after we moved in, arrived and put in the plants without asking us (we were home) in places too close to the house. Fortunately we caught them and had them moved. The next day a small plow was installing the tree in the middle of the front yard (again without asking-we were home) when we had asked for it to be installed on the side of front yard. We were able to intervene before the hole was too large and get it planted where we wanted it. The tree did not look well from the beginning, but the company kept saying it was transplant shock. We convinced them after repeated calls over a period of a year to replace the tree with a different one. When that was planted we had to have them back a month later (after several calls) as the root ball was a foot above the ground. The sprinkler system was installed without an issue and when the line had been cut accidentally by the building crew next door, they were fairly prompt in returning to fix it. However several months later, (1 year after building this house)there was a rupture in the front water line and a massive water bill. The company who repaired it said the 3/4 inch connection often collapses when the ground shifts on new construction. We do not know if a larger connection would have prevented this but some instruction from Turf Design that it might happen and a caution to frequently check the box for leaks (it is a foot below ground level and the leak drained without ever showing on the surface)would have been helpful. Trying to connect with anyone in the company is difficult as the receptionist says she will let someone know, but no callbacks occur. She once disputed that the message we had been given by a landscaper in the company was accurate. We think the coordination between installers, landscape designers,laborers, and homeowners is inadequate. We think this company is stretched beyond the capacity to service customers in a timely manner. The laborers were very industrious and courteous, but the office staff had many delays in addressing our concerns.
