I really questioned the validity of the business. The line items on the estimates didn't total correctly, the owner does "not" have an electrical license but performs all electrical work and wants the homeowner to sign a waiver saying the home owner is responsible for the electrical work. They will not sign a contract, do everything verbal. When I asked for more information on the company as I couldn't find records for them with the State of Kansas under their names, they never responded or contacted me again. I told them in the request that for $60K for a pool I was doing my due diligence to make sure they are licensed, etc.. I also told them there would be a signed contract along with change orders for any modifications to the original contract -- no response. I did not feel comfortable based on the unprofessionalism, validity of company, etc. so I did not use them.

They are very courteous and efficient. They show up on time and always make a follow up call. We have used them 3 or 4 times and plan to use in them in the future.

We initially contacted Contemporary Pools to get an estimate on repairing our original pool pump. The drain plug in the pump housing broke off while we were trying to remove it. Because the age of the pump (it was 25 years old) and the cost to just replace the pump housing of $200 plus labor, we decided to replace the entire unit. My only criticism of the entire experience would be that we were not informed when we initially called that there was a $129 service call to just look at the pump. We may have elicited additional bids had we known this. The $129 was applied to the new pump installation.
