If your snow blower needs work, this is the place to take it.....assuming that you take it there in July and we don't get snow in October. Worse experience that I have ever had getting ANYTHING repaired. After four weeks and several telephone calls, still "had not received an email from Ryobi". Guess they don't a telephone that makes calls to 800 numbers. They only can communicate with Ryobi via email. That was news to the two very professional women that I spoke to at Ryobi. I am not saying that they kept giving me lie after lie because I guess maybe I misunderstood them. But then again... As one of the women at Ryobi told me, TAKE IT TO HOME DEPOT FOR WARRANTY WORK.

Took it in thinking it may need a tune up at least. Few days later received a call informing me that I had forgot to turn on the gas valve on the fuel line. They could have easily claimed it needed a tune up or something else, but did not. No Charge. Very honest people. Will use them in the future.

Work was done at a very reasonable price. Turnaround was very fast. They asked before making repairs. Very professional and efficient. I will return for any service needs and recommend them to all my friends.

HORRIBLE! terrible customer service. woman that answered the phone should be FIRED! hung up on me twice! WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! EVER!

Travis at RG Small Engine Repair replaced a bad throttle cable on my lawnmower. He provided a reasonable price and prompt turn-around. Cable now works as it should. Will certainly use RG Small Engine Repair for other items.

These guys went way beyond normal expectations, and I do mean way beyond. I use a lot of power devices and there is no other place that I will take anything that needs work from now on. It is rare that you will find this kind of personalized, professional service, and when faced with a difficult situation they did not hesitate to do what was needed to make it right. These guys are fantastic, easy to work with, reasonably priced, and provide a great value. I have more for them to work on this fall to keep all of the devices I use running in top condition. If you need any small engine work done, take it to RG Small Engine. You will not be disappointed in the effort they will make to get whatever you need working right.

Good work, good price, long wait. But I was warned. He was honest about it taking a long time because he was backed up.

They repaired it fine. It did take longer than expected.

Work was great, and the owner took the time to answer my questions. It took a little longer then expected (they estimated about 2 weeks and it took about 3-1/2 weeks). That said, it was just before the growing season began, and they were crammed with everybody's lawn equipment who waited till early spring to get the work done (me included). In the future, I'll drop ours off in the fall!

It is sometimes difficult to make contact with the company, as their answering machine does not allow anyone to leave messages. It is not unusual to have to call several times in one day to get a response. I responded to them because they advertised they would pick up and re-deliver the mowers. They performed as promised, but it could have been a little more timely.

Excellent - we missed each other on pick up day, and when they picked up the next day, they RETURNED it DONE that same day to make up for the pick-up miss. Impressive!

Rob Grant is very professional. He returned phone calls promptly and gave me an estimate prior to doing the the work . He provides pickup and delivery which is a great convenience. He did the work in the time promised and everything seems to be working well.

Lawn mower ended up needing more work than it was worth. They took care of disposal of the lawn mower for me.

RG gave an honest and accurate estimate of the repair cost. He then performed an evaluation in the timeline provided, called with the actual costs and fixed the generator within a day.

No other shop could make the repair as quickly as he could. All of them had longer return dates. My experience at the shop was fine. However, he never did figure out exactly what was wrong with the clutch. I spent about 300. A year later the mower wouldn't start. I took it elsewhere and they had to rebuild the carburetor again, and I finally got the clutch fixed. In all fairness, this mower had sat unused for three or four years, so it might not be fair to say he did an inadequate job on the carburetor. So I wouldn't rule out using him again, but I will definitely compare prices before selecting him. He is very nice and profession and I would like to see him do well. I enjoyed visiting with him. So unless I'm willing to haul my mower out of town to another mechanic, RG would be my choice in the city of Olathe.

Rob did a great job fixing a 30+ year rototiller. Even though certain parts were no longer being made, he was able to get it started and provided me with some tips to keep it working. Rob is in demand so ask when you will be able to get your equipment back. I will use R & G again.

My mower had quit working after making one pass in my yard. I normally take my mower to another place (rhymes with ears) and this time I tried a new location. Based on Angie's list and personal recommendations, I took my mower to RG Small Engine. They immediately diagnosed the issue and provided a quote on the spot. Given that the repair was fairly straight forward, the turnaround was very quick. They called me later in the day and told me the Thermostat was out and that was causing my "hard start" issues. I've had this issue since the day I had the mower and the before mentioned company that rhymes with "ears" failed to diagnose/fix this issue after five tune ups. Today, the mower started on the second pull (normally it takes 6-7 pulls to start), and ran flawlessly. I cannot recommend RG Small Engine repair enough. They are very friendly, provide an accurate assessment of the issue, and most importantly, they fix the issue properly. You have a customer for life.

I have a 28 year old Toro riding mower. For most of its life, it?s been nearly trouble-free. About a month ago, it began having trouble with stalling on me while cutting. RG Small Engine picked up the mower and did a full tune up, including replacing a few parts. They delivered it back for a very reasonable price. After running it for about 20 minutes, the blade stopped spinning. A problem with the belt. RG Small Engine came and picked it up and delivered it back a second time. No extra charge. Since then, it has run perfectly. Rob Grant is extremely good and, more important, very conscientious about doing things right. This is not the first time I?ve used them so I was not surprised by the excellent service. I have other small engines, so I know I?ll be using them in the future.

I had been taking my riding mower to Reynolds for service and they had replaced head gaskets a year ago. It was never right and so I took it to RG. They told me I could get a new mower for what the John Deere would cost to replace the engine but I stuck with the John Deere because I have so many attachments for it. All did not go well. As soon as I had it home it started to leak oil in a puddle. I took it back and they rushed the repair for me. I waited a few months to write this review to make sure everything was working well. I liked that I was given a couple of options for repair. I liked that they told me it was their error when the oil leaked instead of blaming a part or me or my mower. Anyone can make a mistake but few have the integrity to own up to it. All's well now. I highly recommend this company and will return in the future.

Did high quality work in a timely fashion for a reasonable price. We almost wish something would go wrong with our tractor so we could hire Rob Grant of RG Small Engine Repair again. It was that nice of an experience doing business with him.

The work is fine. The cost is even okay, not out of range. It is the handling of the job. When I went in there, the repairman told me that I could get a new mower from them for "just a couple hundred bucks" (when I was joking about having to get it fixed and hopefully it would cost me less than the $400 I paid for it 5 years ago new). I then told him I would keep it in mind if the repairs were too costly. It was when Wayne, the assistant, called me back to give me the cost of the repairs that I knew he had lied to me. He overtly pushed me into buying a new mower. When I finally agreed (recalling how it would only cost me "a couple hundred bucks" for a new one from them), he told me it would cost $359-389. This is no "couple hundred bucks". I was shocked at this price, but reluctantly agreed as I felt put on the spot. After a second to think about what transpired, I called him right back to cancel the purchase and just have my old mower repaired. I heard a completely different attitude. He let me know that he was very inconvenienced in having to call the supplier to cancel this order. Wayne called me yesterday to let me know the mower was ready to be picked up. I asked if the cost included the "senior discount" (they brag about and advertise) and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. He reluctantly agreed and would include it. This "discount" is not something I felt I should have had to "beg" for. It should have been brought up by the mechanic. And, if they think they can sweet talk customers into sinking in big money into a new mower just so they can make their profit and not have to do the labor, this senior citizen will just take her business elsewhere. Very poor business practices and tact.

Took Rob my mower Thursday morning. Rob was covered up but took my mower anyway. He called the next morning with it ready to go. Rocker arm stud had backed out and had a bent push rod. Thanks for a quick turn around. He is very good at small engine repairs.

The guys awesome. I called him about it and he said bring it on in. I brought it in that day. He looked at it and said it was a really quick fix so he showed me on the spot. He said that he was really backed up and could call me in about a week or he would show me right then. I'm not a handy man but he was clear enough that I was able to do it and get it done.

My son said our mower had a broken key but my son couldn't get the flywheel off even with a flywheel puller. I contacted Rob and he responded to my email within hours of my email. I brought the mower in to Rob's shop and he said the key wasn't broken but found a chunk of foam that was clogging it. He removed the piece of foam and my 20 year old mower started on the first pull.
