Thank you for your review. I'm glad to hear you're happy with the work we've completed on your beautiful home. You will always be among my favorite Clients!
This is our third project with Remodel Masters. The first two projects consisted of having old front porches on each of our two homes removed and a new screened in porch built on one home and an open porch on the other home. The third and current project was the demolition of an old deck and the installation of a new deck on the back of one of our homes. This was a two step process as the old deck had to be removed and the house had to be painted. Last fall, Randy removed the old deck; we then had the entire house painted and this month Randy built the new deck. We very much appreciated his willingness to work with us in the removal of the old deck and the construction of the new deck allowing for the paint job to be done in between. Randy and his helper installed pressure treated support framing with support posts on top of concrete deck support blocks. We chose gray Trex for the decking which matches the gray Trex Randy installed on the front porch of the house. Randy also installed white PVC porch railing on two sides of the deck as well as post sleeves for the five posts on the deck. He also included five white post caps with solar lighting. My husband and I are delighted with our new deck; we appreciate Randy's attention to detail and his expertise in design and construction. As with the two porches he built for us, we believe we received top quality work on the deck and plan to enjoy it for many years to come. We plan to have Randy back this fall for a fourth project to pour a concrete walkway which will provide a path from the back door of one of our houses to the back door of our other house. We highly recommend Remodel Masters for top notch construction.

This is the 4th job that Randy Capone/Remodel Masters has done for us. They previously remodeled a master bath/master closet, remodeled a hall bath, and installed sliding glass patio doors for us. Randy and his crew removed the wall between our kitchen and family room last week, giving us a more open concept in our main living area. As usual, Randy carefully quoted the job, showed up when he said they would and completed the job in 4 days, the exact amount of time he said that it would take. Each night, the crew would clean up everything and left our house as least disrupted as possible. If there were changes or questions, Randy would always communicate them to us immediately. This job involved more than you might think - electrical, trim work, painting, reworking flooring, installing a new header, etc. - and they didn't leave until every detail was done to their and our satisfaction. You can't even tell the wall was ever there. I don't know what remodeling project we will do next, but without question Remodel Masters will be our choice to complete the work. If you want to avoid all of the horror stories you hear about contractors who don't show up on time or at all, or who do shoddy work you should use Remodel Master. We highly recommend them.

The work was done on time and with a high degree of craftsmanship. The tile work in the shower is especially nice. Randy made a number of helpful suggestions during material selection and was very prompt with communication via email. We had one minor misunderstanding about what type of vanity the bid included but we were able to get the correct vanity ordered. We incurred some additional costs beyond the estimate due to water damage of the subfloor and rework of plumbing in the floor but given the age of the house that wasn't surprising. We ended up going with some nicer/pricier materials than I had originally planned but the improved quality was worth it.
Description of Work: We had a small (about 5ft x 9ft) master bathroom remodeled. Randy and his crew demoed everything down to the studs, fixed some plumbing issues in the floor and installed a custom tiled shower with niche and trench drain, new vanity with quartz countertop, new toilet and all new fixtures. We also had a custom frameless glass shower door installed by Gaylord Glass.

At the beginning of the bathroom remodel the design was fluid as we worked with Randy to determine the best configuration of the new bathroom with the new walk in shower. Randy provided suggestions and recommendations for the new wall, shower floor, tile design, shower fan, etc to make sure we had multiple options for the bathroom. He worked closely with us prior to install of items to ensure correct placement or design. The flexibility in making changes and/or adding to the design was good and Randy made sure to clearly list the costs associated with the change prior to initiating any work. Randy was very meticulous with his tile work resulting in a high quality tile design. He worked with us to replicate some of the trim work for the bathroom that was in other areas of our home which provided the extra touch to tie in the new bathroom to the rest of the house. Randy did have challenges with the quality of work from his employees. This required rework in some cases and a high level of frustration which was apparent with Randy's interactions with his employees. It was extremely important to Randy that we were happy with the final product and worked with us to see if there were any final details that needed to be taken care of. We are very happy with our new master bathroom!
Description of Work: Remodel Masters provided a quote for our bathroom remodel that had a detailed itemization of the work that was going to be provided. The competitive price, timeliness and transparency of the bid all contributed to the overall selection of Remodel Masters. The bathroom remodel was customized to include: Removal: shower, tub, counter tops, sinks, toilet and tile New: Walk in shower with new wall, floor and wall tile, granite counter tops, mirrors and sink

This was the 2nd job that we hired Randy Capone/Remodel Masters for. A year ago they did an excellent job remodeling our master bathroom and walk-in closet. In fact they did such a good job that we didn't bother to get bids for our hall bathroom remodel; we knew we wanted them to do the job. Our hall bathroom was very dated and in bad shape. Randy and his crew basically tore everything out except the tub and put in all new fixtures, tile, flooring, vanity, sink and mirror. The experience was great and went just as we knew it would: Randy was on time with everything, kept us up to date on their progress, worked with us to pick out tile and other design features, answered questions quickly and took a lot of care and pride in their work. He told us the job might take 3 weeks and they actually finished in 2. The bathroom is now contemporary and beautiful! We have already signed up Randy/Remodel Masters for another job after Christmas. We highly recommend them!

The project went very smoothly for the most part. We ran into a few problems, but Randy and Troy both solved them quickly. The tile floor that we picked out was a very poor quality and it was cracking/chipping when Randy put it down. We met at the tile store the next day and picked out a much nicer and better quality tile. Our main shut-off valve to the house would not fully close, so Randy called out his plumber to fix it quickly. It was a very old valve, so we were not surprised. Randy made suggestions on replacing the master vanity, adding a linen tower to vanity, adding a pocket door to the small shower/toilet room and using the same style door on the master closet. I am very glad that we did all of these extra things. I love the design he did on our shower bench and niches (for shampoo and soap). Randy and Troy are both perfectionists, so their work is excellent. We wanted a stacked stone wall surrounding our tub and this turned out to be a very cool feature wall. I would definitely use Remodel Masters for another project at my home.

Our 3 primary considerations for selecting a contractor for a total remodel of our master bath were quality workmanship, customer service and price, in that order. Remodel Masters' Randy Capone earned 5 stars in all three categories. Quality workmanship: Randy's attention to detail is extraordinary. The care given to the arrangement of our 12 x 24 tile allows its variations to flow naturally across the floor and four feet up the walls, with precise miters, well placed intersections and smooth grout lines. He even tiled the very narrow space (1") in the corner behind the door. When it comes to the vanity, shower and water closet, all elements are secure, level, square and plumb. Caulking is color-matched, neat and tidy. Customer service: The initial visit and estimates were timely and professional, as were the progress reports and questions that arose along the way. We knew there had been damage to the floor from a long, slow-leaking pipe, and as soon as the actual damage was exposed we were given a prompt, accurate estimate of the additional repairs required. The repairs were made right away so that work could continue on schedule. Randy made design and functional suggestions along the way, some of which we followed and a couple which we didn't, but he didn't give us a hard time about those. Randy and his crew are polite and careful--from the drop cloths to protect our floors between the bathroom and exterior doors to cleaning up at the end of each day, we never had any messes to contend with. The job was completed in 3 weeks, exactly as promised, even with the additional floor repair. Price: Randy's pricing is very fair and suitable for the quality of materials and workmanship he provides. We are convinced we chose the best person for the job out of the three bids we obtained. The main thing I haven't mentioned is how beautiful our new bathroom is! We feel like we're in a luxury hotel after living with a very vanilla master bath for 26 years. Next on our list is the kitchen and living room--we won't even bother getting estimates from anyone else!

The tear out went fine, on time, good job. There was to be follow up work within a few weeks, but that did not get done before cold weather set in, so plan was to finish in the spring. In the spring, I sent emails and called the provider, he was putting it on his schedule. Then, wet weather, called, but again, delayed waiting for dry weather. I emailed and called, but the provider would not respond to email, he did not return the calls, even though I left voicemail asking him to respond. I finally gave up and started looking for someone else to do the job. However, the delays had put me into the timeframe where everyone was very busy and I am going to get it done, although a year later than I had hoped. The contractor I am working with now responds and will get a review once the work is done. So, overall, half was good, half was bad, which leaves it a C rating.

I gave this client a written, itemized estimate to complete his entire project: Item # 1: Tear out an existing patio and Item # 2: Pour a new concrete patio. Upon arrival to sign the contract, he told me he wanted to hold off on pouring the new patio because he was not ready for it and refused to sign a contract to pour the patio. Therefore, we signed a contract for the tear out of the old Patio ONLY. Before we signed, while trying to be too pushy, I went on to explain that we were EXTREMELY busy, booked several months in advance and that if he did not sign a contract for the new Patio, he would have to call us back to sign another contract when he was ready, then he would be added into our work queue again and the waiting process would start all over again - he would have to wait based on our work load at the time of the new contract signing. I went on to explain very thoroughly how I run my business: Work is ONLY scheduled once a contract has been signed. Once a contract has been signed, that Client is then given an estimated start and completion date that is written into the contract. The start date is determined by our current work load at that time; Clients who have already signed contracts before him or her are completed first. After all this, he still refused to sign for the new Patio and chose to sign for the Demolition of the old Patio ONLY. We completed our contact in a single day (08/18/2014) and we laid plywood down on his grass so we wouldn't damage it while removing the old Patio. I personally was on that job the entire time while he stood outside a lot of the time and watched us work. We had what I thought was a great rapport, good conversation and he even praised us several times for our hard work and expressed how happy he was with everything. If he would have just taken my advice and signed for the new Patio too, he would have gotten his ENTIRE project completed in a timely manner and I wouldn't have to suffer with a less than desirable review. Although very rare, a missed call from time to time does happen and if that was the case here, I sincerely apologize, but multiple attempts to contact me we not made, period.
This was a major renovation for me. Randy was great at handling all the problems that arose. I had planned on keeping a lot of my old cabinets and repainting them. Randy said it just wasn't worth putting them back in. Between that and the additional work because of old termite damage and the update for electrical to bring that up to code, the expenses were adding up. Randy was willing to work with me, knowing I'm a senior on a fixed income raising a grandchild, and put my mine at ease. Damon who was the foreman on the job is a treasure, working fast, but talented in problem solving and knowing what has to be done each day, when it has to be done and how it must be done. He listened to everything I had to say, no matter how mundane, and, in spite of all he had to contend with, went above and beyond with his job. Troy was great with helping Damon and did a lot of the work that had to be done around Damon's jobs. He is a good worker. Overall, in spite of the extra work and the added expense, they made it come out done on the original time frame. I would highly recommend this company because of their professionalism and commitment to making the job an experience that comes out better than expected. I will always remember it with gratitude.

First of all, I'd like to thank you for hiring my company, Remodel Masters for your Kitchen remodel! Honestly, my heart sank when we found all that Termite damage to your exterior framing because I knew it would be a major expense to repair and was well aware of your situation when you hired us. It was my absolute pleasure to discount the repairs to a point that was affordable to you. Although we can't do this for everyone because we would be out of business very quickly, this exception was well worth it to me and my crew. I hope you'll enjoy your beautiful new Kitchen for many, many years to come. Thanks again!

My sincere apologies for the scheduling error. I arrived at this person's home yesterday for what I thought was our scheduled appointment for a FREE estimate. Much to my surprise, the homeowner answered the door and told me it was not a good time for the estimate and went on to say our appointment was for the day before! I apologized for any miscommunication and left. Very confused, I looked at the paperwork I filled out when he called and the date did indeed indicate the estimate was for the previous day. Upon entering the date into the scheduler on my phone (which sounds an alarm notifying me of an appointment and the only way I use to remind myself of an appointment), I inadvertently entered the correct time but incorrect date while trying to do too many things at the same time during that work day. I called this person while driving home from his house after discovering the error was mine, left him a voice message explaining the situation, apologize again and offered to re-schedule. I am very blessed and thankful to have a successful and very busy remodeling company, however, it can be a double edged sword when I make a mistake. - so sorry.

Really happy with the work Randy and his team did. The bathroom turned out better than we hoped. This was our first remodel so we didn't know much, but Randy is really good at explaining each step without making you feel like an idiot. From the time the demolition started until we were using our new shower was about 5 weeks. They were respectful of our home and even made sure their tools were stored away from our young children when they left each day. Randy went with us to pick out materials and helped each step of the way. He took calls and was responsive to email. Lots of questions on a project like this. I'll use Remodel Masters again for future projects.

The entire Bathroom remodel really did come out great, but the walk in shower is the real show piece on this project and is simply amazing in my opinion! I'm very happy you elected to go with my suggestion of the Kohler digital, heated diverter valve which allows you to turn on the pre-heated water with the touch of a button! I already know it's awesome because I have one in my house! I hope you and your family are enjoying it - thank you so much for all the kind words!

This was our first time dealing with a contractor on a major remodeling project. We were impressed with Randy Capone, owner of Remodel Masters, because from the beginning of the bid process and throughout the remodel he was always on time, and always responded to our calls, emails and texts. We chose Randy because of this, and because of price and his willingness to work with us to adapt our plan to accommodate our price range. We felt he was very patient guiding us through the process and helping us pick out materials. Randy and his crew showed up every day and worked hard every day, except for a couple of days when they were waiting on materials to arrive. They cleaned up every night and were very respectful of our house and in trying not to inconvenience us any more than necessary. Randy said it would take a month to complete the project and it actually took a few days less than a month. We have now have a large BEAUTIFUL master bath and walk in closet. They did a great job on every aspect of the project. We are very pleased! In summary, we would highly recommend Randy and Remodel Masters to anyone looking for a good experience with a contractor. We have some future projects in mind and we they will definitely be the ones we call.

This project (hall bathroom) followed our master bathroom renovation that Remodel Masters completed several months earlier. We wanted both bathrooms to look similar so Randy assisted with a different tile design using same tile products but in a different configuration - final product was perfect. This job went smoothly and my husband and I are very pleased with the final result. Crew was professional and on time and left work areas neat and tidy. Thank you for taking the time to write your review and thank you for acknowledging the several hours spent on estimating your project! Many people don't realize how much time it takes to write an itemized estimate for a large project, so thanks again and we're happy to help whenever you're ready to get going on that Bathroom!
I was looking for an individual contractor ? not a large company ? and decided to use Remodel Masters after reading all reviews. Randy met with my husband and me about six weeks prior to starting our master bathroom remodel. I have always been able to make decisions quickly when it?s about interior decorating or remodeling so I think Randy appreciated how quickly we ?moved? through the process. I was pleased that Randy kept us informed each step of the way and always offered options when something came up not in the original quote. He also met me at the tile store on a Saturday to assist with the selection ? this part of the process can be intimidating if you don?t have help. Randy is extremely patient and detail oriented which gets high marks from me. I don?t believe there is a remodel project going on today that doesn't have some unexpected issues ? that?s just the nature of the beast. Randy was extremely thorough explaining the issues when they came up and the work around to resolve them. We are very happy with the finished project ? so satisfied that we decided to redo our hall bathroom as well. That project begins next month. I want to add that when you choose an individual contractor the process may take slightly longer but it gave both my husband and I peace of mind that we knew a trusted bonded individual was in our home each day and not a crew of strangers. That mattered a lot. I would recommend Remodel Masters without hesitation.

This was our second job with Remodel Masters and we loved their work the first time so much we did not look elsewhere when it came time to remodel our kitchen. They did not disappoint. Randy and his team did an amazing job and we love our new kitchen. Everyone we worked with has a great balance of professionalism and friendliness. They did our work on schedule. Randy is very good about keeping changes down (except of course all the ones we asked for!) and consulting the customer if something needs to be addressed to discuss options. They work clean and respected our home throughout. As with our bathroom, Randy took the time on a Saturday morning to meet us at the tile showroom and bascially design the whole remodel from tile, backsplash, counter tops, the works. Many companies send you off on your own to work with the showroom staff, but Randy goes above and beyond in this department. His input is invaluable and really helped us design a great looking kitchen. I would highly recommend this company for any remodels as they are priced competitively and are a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: Randy and his team remodeled our kitchen. We basically did an entire remodel, with the exception that we refinished the cabinets not replaced.

Excellent job again. We wanted to control our outside lights automatically with timers. Also, we wanted to update our entry hall chandelier. We have used Randy, Remodel Masters, on several occasions in the past and had always been very comfortable with the workmanship and happy with the outcome. Randy was able to work our small project in between his remodeling jobs based upon our timeframe for completion. He made suggestions on what type of fixture would work best by location. He showed up exactly as promised and completed the project just like we wanted.
Description of Work: Replaced light switches with programmable timer switches for outside. Removed old chandelier from two story entry with a 9 foot chain and installed a new light fixture with 9 foot rod.

Randy was great to work with from the bidding process to well beyond the project. We absolutely love our new bathroom. People make 'ooh and ahh' sounds when they see it. Randy is very patient and that is important with picky and indecisive clients like we were. I think he came over to our place four times during the bidding process before we signed our contract. During the project, Randy showed even more patience when we were struggling to find tiles for the floor and shower. He met us at the tile store on the weekend a couple of times. Randy is also very detail oriented. Randy behaves as if he is doing the work in his own house. Several times he would redo something that wasn't up to his standards that we didn't even notice. I know other contractors would not have done that. Another thing Randy did was he helped us get a leaky window replaced that was still under warranty. We were prepared to pay him but he had me call the window company first. We are glad we did. We bounced ideas off Randy all the time and he was not afraid to give his opinion. We feel that he got the vision we were going for and was able to deliver above and beyond. Often he would pull up pictures he had on his phone to make sure we were on the same page. Other times he would email us a link to something. One time he drew up a sketch so we could see the proposed tile layout of the bathroom. Randy employes one or two apprentices for his projects. Carlos and Mike were very respectful and are obviously learning a lot from Randy. I mention this because when you are hire Remodel Masters you are going to work with Randy and the apprentice(s). They do the demo, tile work, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. On our project they did everything except the glass install for our shower. I mention this for two reasons: 1) It is nice only have 2-3 strangers in your house instead of new faces all of the time. 2) Since this is a small crew, they may take longer than a bigger outfit. We did a complete demo of our bathroom and it took ~8 weeks. Randy is pretty good about juggling projects. When he starts your job, he'll likely be finishing up another job so when there is downtime, he moves resources to the other project. If you are expecting a super fast job, Remodel Masters may not be right for you. However, if you want a job done right, we fully recommend Remodel Masters.

This Master Bathroom was a complete relocation/re-design of the tub and Vanities and although the Shower basically stayed within the same footprint of the old one, we did make it a bit larger and added a nice seat just in case you're having a lazy day and want to shower sitting down! :) This Customer was given an estimated completion time of 6 to 8 weeks before we started their project, and although they added on a considerable amount of work over and above the original scope of work, ie. heated floor, towel warmer and a lot of additional electrical work, we still managed to complete the project in 8 weeks, which usually makes everyone happy! Thank you very much for all the kind words as it is always a pleasure working for such nice people! I hope you're enjoying your new Bathroom and that heated floor you surprised your Wife with! Since she IS a Teacher, I'm willing to bet you got extra credit for that one! Thanks again and remember, if you ever have any issues at all with any aspect of your project, all our work guaranteed for as long as you own your home...enjoy! Randy Capone

Both of us work, we specifically said we needed an evening appointment. we made an appointment for 2 weeks out. I had made arrangements at work to be home on time and then he cancelled last minute. I asked for other times and he had jobs scheduled thought out he next two weeks and only had an afternoon appointment on a tuesday. Never got any follow up for any other times. Disappointed. I wish there had been follow up.
Description of Work: Called and scheduled an appointment. He cancelled on us last minute.

First of all this person called me for an estimate on insurance claim for water damage. I immediately told her we do not do any type of insurance work and explained why. I told her there are companies that specialize in this work and even gave her the name of a company to contact. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with her answering the many questions she had and she kept trying to convince me to come out to her home to give a free estimate for the work anyway. She kept creating scenarios how she would pay us and not involve the insurance company, etc. in an attempt to convince me...she was nothing short of relentless. At this point I finally agreed to look at her project simply because she had made me feel so uncomfortable. The morning of her estimate, I called this woman to reschedule our 6:30pm appointment because my 9year old Daughter was sick, had stayed home from school. I told her I could come out the following week after work in the afternoon. She told me she would speak to her Husband and get back to me. Never heard back from anyone until I received this report.

They seem to know about the type of work we were asking about. What stood out were the timeliness, reliable, and commitment to the time and day.

This is the second project Remodel Masters has done for us. Last year, Randy and his helpers built a new screened in front porch as well as new front steps on a second home that we own. This year, we hired Randy to remove and replace the front porch on our primary residence. We are as delighted with the second porch project as we were with the first. Randy began work on Tuesday, September 2nd, the day after Labor Day. He and his crew, Mike and Carlos arrived promptly at 9AM and began the demolition of the old porch. They removed all the old decking as well as the framing and two rows of concrete blocks which supported the porch. They installed three temporary support columns to prop up the porch ceiling and roof of the house. They then dug three 36 inch pier holes and filled them with concrete to support the new Frost Footing foundation. At this point, a city building inspection was required and the inspector gave us his immediate approval. The 17 foot foundation was then installed and connected with steel reinforced concrete beams. Randy and his crew then installed new pressure treated support framing for the new porch from the house to the block wall. At this point, another building inspection was required and again, Randy's work was approved. Since my husband and I wanted a porch that requires no maintenance, we chose Trex Transcend decking for the floor and opted to have white PVC sleeves installed over the new pressure treated support posts. Randy and his crew then removed the old existing vinyl porch ceiling and replaced all the water damaged plywood and two water damaged ceiling supports. They replaced these materials with new ceiling supports, new plywood and installed a new vinyl ceiling. The ceiling was then wrapped with material that will require no maintenance. Randy replaced the existing electrical wiring inside the ceiling for the front porch light and installed a new junction box to meet the current electrical code. He reinstalled the porch light fixture and installed new flood ights on either side of the porch. New roof supports were installed and wrapped with PVC trim boards. Randy re-hung the existing gutterlng and installed a new splash block below it per the building code requirements. The final code inspection was done yesterday and Randy's work was given a "Fully Approved" rating. Randy communicated with me via phone and email. He called me on a daily basis to let me know what time he and Mike and Carlos would arrive for work. He and his crew were always punctual and they were very courteous. Randy explained everything in detail to my husband and myself At the end of each day's work, Randy and his crew disposed of all discarded material and left the front yard looking neat and tidy. My husband and I appreciated Randy's attention to detail and the high degree of his skill which is evident in the quality of his work. I know we will enjoy our new porch for years to come and we look forward to working with him next year for a bathroom remodel.
Description of Work: Demolished the old existing wooden front porch of our house as well as the concrete support blocks below it. Built a new front porch by installing a base of Frost Footing and Foundation with Trex Transcend decking and white PVC railing. Repaired and replaced parts of the porch ceiling which had suffered water damage due to a previous roof leak. Removed old flood lights off the porch and installed new flood lights. Installed a splash block at the base of the guttering on the front porch.

Remodel masters were phenomenal. From start to finish they were very friendly and professional. The bid seemed very transparent, no hidden tricks or anything. Randy spent over an hour with us at the tile shop on a saturday designing our shower and flooring. Had great insight on what would work and how things look from his vast experience. Job finished on time and with minimal changes to original bid mostly driven by our choices on materials. They were very clean as well as they worked, straighening up, sweeping, etc every day. We LOVE our bathroom and I find myself just staring at it as it looks amazing. Highly recommend Remodel Masters, we will call them again when we remodel the kitchen or other bath!
