Overland Concrete Construction

Paid Overland Concrete $11,625.00 to replace my driveway in December 2020 with 'buff' color. Since then has had blotchy areas of discoloration. Looks like dirt but doesn't wash off. Spoke with them about this months ago. Got the run around with no fix.

They did a great job. They made several suggestions which improved the design and arrived early each morning and worked all day. Did a good job of cleaning up each day and was careful with the lawn and irrigation lines. Also helped my landscaping project by adding conduit under the sidewalk and driveway.

The job went very well, we ran into issues with the removal of the floor and the supporting foundation and they were very accommodating as we worked through this issue. The floor looks great and I would recommend them for any concrete work you might need.

We want to pass on our appreciation for such a terrific job that the crew completed on our new driveway. The timeliness, attention to detail and simply professional work was so impressive. The entire crew was friendly but yet focused on their work and the end product has been a topic of conversation by all our neighbors - perfection.

It went very well. The driveway, sidewalk and stoop all look great. The employees were capable and efficient. They recommended a slightly larger stoop which I'm happy with as well. They cleaned up all the debris and hauled it away. They weren't even angry when my dog got away from my husband and walked through wet cement. They just smiled and said they were happy to fix it. OCC wasn't the cheapest bidder but I selected them on the positive reviews I read on Angies List. I had two very minor issues (not related to the actual concrete). My contact was Jason Reichard and he handled both issues quickly and professionally. I was very impressed with his responsiveness.

Excellent craftsmanship. Service was completed promptly once started. Good job cleaning up the work area. I would use them again and I do recommend them. They use a three panel design on the drive. I have had a lot of complements on this.

We did not have any problems with their work. The crews were on time and completed the work as they stated, including cleanup.

Overland Oncrete was by far the quickest with getting back to me and sending the proposal. We ended up going with someone else that could do additional work inside the house for us but OC was professional and timely.

Quality of work and concrete crew were great, very happy with the results. The communication from the sales guy about backfilling and buildup from the yard being settled was at least poor if not misleading. 2"-3" of backfilling was explained, and in some areas the concrete was 8 inches above the yard requiring grading and sodding of the yard in order to achieve proper drainage. When we contacted them, I was basically told I should have known that and it wasn't their problem, nor did we give them an ample amount of time to explain it to us.

The work was scheduled, started , and completed to my satisfaction with no hassle. I am very happy with all the people involved in this project. They were very easy to communicate with at all levels and they kept their promises. The quality of their work is outstanding and I would recommend them without reservation. They replaced about 900 sq. ft. of concrete and cleaned up afterward. It looks great.

Very good. All concrete work looks good. My only reserve is that the street at the end of the driveway is full of dirt and concrete and rock dust. I'm hoping rains will take care of most of it, but that remains to be seen.

The Overland Concrete Construction (OCC) estimator carefully explained how the company would accomplish the job. Upgrade and add-on features were conveniently presented for consideration. For example, poor traction on our driveway has always been a concern. A concrete sealer with a traction additive was suggested. The result was impressive. OCC's scheduler did a patient and persistent job of getting us on the schedule promptly. There were rain events and other previously scheduled construction projects on our property to consider. Superior design, materials and craftsmanship were provided to us by OCC. Our project was difficult due to a significant incline from curb to garage. Also, we had existing concrete walks that we wished to leave in place. These factors limited the options available to our project foreman as he planned the forming and installed the forms for out concrete pour. He knew how to achieve a good outcome and spent considerable time working with his crew to make it happen. An element of artisan technique blended with construction expertise gave us a visually appealing product that functions well.

Were very professional, knowledgeable, arrived on time to start work and completed on schedule. Not much to say, will use again if I need concrete work and would highly recommend to any one who might need a new driveway.

Of all proposals we received (5), Overland was the only one to provide fully detailed commitments with regard to type of concrete, level of prep work, (grading, 4" minimum aggregate base, minimum 4" pour, regard placement, type of finish work, etc.). Highly detailed - you now exactly what you are getting and the results expected. Significant. 2. The only concrete company that I could find that has it's own mason on board. Totally integrated installation. No nightmare of two different contractors - something does'nt go as expected and each contractor pointing to the other. 3. Dedicated rip out team. Supervisor and assigned team. Arrived as expected and within same day total rip-out( (driveway, sidewalk and steps) and removal was accomplished. Forms installed. I have fairly extensive landscaping and a nice lawn. They were universally aware of their surrounding. Minimal disruption to lawn and landscaping. 100% cleanup at end of the day. 4. Dedicated installation team (form and pour). Supervisor and 7 team members. Years of experience ranged from 5 - 15 years. All experienced, professional and motivated. I was truly impressed...it seemed that all team members knew their roll and what was expected. Solid productivity. No resting around taking breaks, etc. Solid performance all day. 5. Stair forms. Required additional steps and grading to match driveway elevation. Owner personally oversaw this task - providing exactly what we wanted. Additionally formed a curved sideway between driveway and steps. The sidewalk was prepped with the forms to accept the inlaid masonry border on both sides. 6. Mason was equally as good as the concrete team. Superb design, installation and finish work. Several visits from the mason to insure complete design and understanding of work effort, choice of brick, mortar color, etc. This project as accomplished by Overland was a very positive experience. They set the bar (and a high one compared to their competitors) and exceed it at all levels. Solid management oversight, professional and courteous team members and a finished product that is simply superb. Not the cheapest - but do you really want this level of work done by a company that can't properly detail a proposal, doesn't have years of experience and a very solid book of references? One of a kind - and the best.

I am using Overland Concrete for driveways and concrete. Based on my experience with them, for their professionalism, service and so forth, it was all fabulous. I would give them as many stars as Angie's List has on every single service they did. They haven't completed the work yet but for professionalism and timeliness. They did not treat me like I was some little poor darn thing that they didn't care about. They were wonderful. They are replacing my entire driveway.

Received the estimate in August and work was completed in early November. I was informed at the time of the estimate that they were very busy and work would not be done until the November timeframe so I knew upfront that the work would not be done right away. Everything went smoothly and I'm very happy with the work they did. I would recommend them to anyone.

We got a quote for our project in August and the work was performed in November. From the first contact asking for a quote until the work was completed everyone was was very helpful and professional. The work was completed quickly and we are highly satisfied with the work. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and will use them again should we need any concrete work.
