OVERHEAD DOOR COMPANY OF KANSAS CITY They were really good. Replaced 2 springs. On time, very professional, and on the job. I heard a lot of people had good reports on them.

Called in late morning when garage door wouldn't open. Originally was offered noon to 4pm slot(!), but I asked for later so I could be be home after work. Anthony showed up promptly, after calling approximately ten minutes away. He replaced both springs, repaired hinges, and replaced track car in less than 45 minutes. The door works smoother than it ever has. Great work!

Casey was our technician and he was on time and professional. He kept me informed throughout our repair and went above and beyond my expectations. We would recommend them to a friend.

OHD showed up about 15 minutes late, but were able to finish the job within the original time estimate. The repair man took the entire door frame apart and rehung the door. Originally, I was happy with the job....not knowing the mistakes that had been made. 2 years later, we found that water had been seeping under the door since this "repair" was made. Now, we have mold damage under our floor and a rotten door frame. OHD agreed to send a tech out at no charge to review the work, and he informed us that the door had been hung backwards.....thus causing the water to run into instead of away from the house. OHD agreed to give us a discount on a new door, but the prices they gave were more expensive than just hiring Lowe's to fix it. Needless to say, Lowes is now replacing our door at a cost of over $1000....not to mention the damage to our floor. The tech from Lowe's was speechless at the workmanship from OHD.

Company set up a prompt appointment and the service person was professional and courteous.

Everything went great. The technician was knowledgeable, polite and explained the work he was going to do and kept me updated the whole time. He estimated 4 hours for the total job and hit it on the button. I would highly recommend this company.

The company was prompt, straightforward, and quick. They did all that they said they would and at a reasonable rate. The reason for the B was the $60 that we paid simply for them to show up. It was difficult to compare prices, and we felt slightly obligated to use them so as not to lose out on that initial payment.

The service person showed up on time and was very nice. Completed the work requested and answered several questions afterwards. I showed him an outbuilding with an older garage door opener that did not work with a remote. He told me he could perform the work but it would cost a lot of money. He suggested that I do the requested work and showed me how to do it. I was really impressed that he did that. He could have just sold me a new system that day. Instead he went out of his way to save me some money. I really liked the honesty and customer service.

We called Overhead Door because our garage door would not shut. When the service man arrived he was very nice and immediately started making some adjustments but also saw that our door was warped at the bottom. We knew we would likely need to replace it but we were hoping for the best. So he said there were 2 options to try to fix it to get by but they were not ideal as the issue would come back. We asked him to quote us on a new door. I told him we would like to get more bids. He said he had been doing this for 16 years and he could tell me a little bit about what was out there so he shared some information about what companies would have a comparable door. Before he left we decided to purchase a new door. That was on a Thursday and they installed it on the following Monday. The installer was great as well and explained everything thoroughly. The only thing was the clean up wasn't very good. There were some large bolts and nuts left lying around and some caulk or scrapings. I have a 22 month old so I wasn't happy about that.

I called the evening I discovered that the spring had broken on my garage door. The answering service had someone call me back quickly and first thing the next morning, the repair person was here, as promised. Everything was completed well and in a timely manner. Good company to do business with.

After my wife and son left the house I heard a loud noise in the garage. When I went out to look I could see what looked like a wire had broken. We have 2 garage doors and I was going to wait since it was the day before Christmas, but on further examination it looked like the wire might be wrapped around the other door railing and I was concerned that I might not be able to get the other door opened. I called a company that was on Angies List that was close to our home, but they were closed because of the holiday so I called Overland Door who I had used before. They came out in a very timely manner and that's when I found a spring had broken. The springs were replaced in about 20 minutes and the door was working by the time my wife and son got home.

The job hardly took any time at all, less than 30 minutes. No parts were required. He just made a few adjustments and had it working perfectly.

Very prompt, responsive service. Calls returned right away. Very convenient to have salesperson, Ed, come to the house to present their products, give firm estimate, provide paperwork for energy tax break and brochures on products. The installer (just one man!) arrived on time, worked the entire 3.5 hours, and explained and demonstrated all the features, including the safety beam that prevents closure on people or pets. My very old system was ready to die in its tracks, literally. The new one is much quieter and smoother operating, and now I have one less thing to worry about. The price was only about $15 more than the nearest competitor, Raynor (which, by the way, also made a very competitive presentation). Reputation is what sealed the deal for me.

As painless as can be expected. Had my garage door opened and working within a few hours of me calling them. Serviceman and dispatcher were both friendly and professional.

The technician came out and lubricated the hinges and springs and whatever else is included in a normal garage door preventative maintenance. I told the technician that our major complaint was the noise in the bedrooms above the garage. I had previously woken my daughter up from a nap when I opened the garage door. I had read of nylon rollers or vibration isolators being used to quiet a garage door. I noticed that we already had nylon rollers so I asked the technician if vibration isolators or anything else would quiet our garage door. He stated that he could install vibration isolators but he said that it would not make it any quieter. Thankfully I did not listen to him and I decided to buy the PAC International garage door silencer (vibration isolator) and install it myself. The vibration isolator significantly reduced the noise in the bedrooms above the garage. I will say that the noise in the garage is about the same but my concern is the noise in the bedrooms. I spent less than half the cost of the service call for the vibration isolator and it worked ten times better.

They did a good job; they're a great company. I trust them; I would use them again.

The salesman from whom I received an estimate was prompt, courteous, and thorough. He did an excellent job of explaining the options, making recommendations, pointing out the positives and negatives at various price points, and providing clear cost estimates. The installer was prompt, professional, and courteous. He did excellent work, finished on time, and cleaned everything up perfectly. He spent time with me to show me the critical maintenance points on the new doors. He also was honest regarding the questionable need for a service contract that he was required to show me. I am impressed with the quality of workmanship and with the doors and tracks themselves. The company honored the price estimate to the penny with no hidden costs whatsoever. Overall, I would recommend Overhead Door without reservation based upon my experience.

I needed to replace 2 wooden garage doors one of which was falling apart. The salesman was prompt and knowledgeable about the product. He was able to show me how each door style would look on my house with a computer program. The installer was prompt, courteous and friendly. The installation took less time than I thought, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The garage broke last night, but I did not get a chance to call until noon. They had an opening today and were here by 3:30pm. This works out for me due to my need to use the mower in our garage. Marshall was very quick, professional, and timely. We will certainly use the service again.

Overall, I gave Overhead Door an A rating as the quality, responsiveness and professionalism outweighed the punctuality. I will recommend the company in the future.

They arrived on time and were very professional. Installation of the two openers was quick and they adjusted and lubricated the doors so they closed better. The only problem I had was that the installer did not have the keypad on the original day of installation, another installer returned a few days later and took care of it. I was very happy with the service and quality of work. The price was higher than what you could get at the local box store, but you get a better product and better installation with these guys.

The technician arrived when scheduled, and performed the work as promised. Although I probably could have figured this problem out on my own had I spent a little more time, the technician gave me a quick lesson on troubleshooting garage door sensors so I might save the $94 in the future. Very pleasant experience.

Overall pretty good. Thought the price was high, but was pleased with the end result.
