I called told them our issue and they came out the same day to fix our door. They have a service that for 299.00 (this may of been a special,not sure) they will replace all springs, cables, and rollers on the door. This includes any adjustment door may need. The serviceman was very polite and safely did all the work in about a hour or so. I was very satisfied and our door works better than it did when it was new.These guys know their stuff.

Tech was on time to replace broken garage door spings. Tech got the job done quick at a great price.

Technician named Ernie came out for preventative maintenance and to check why the door was noisier than usual. Had to do minor repair for noise issue. On time. Very professional. Explained everything clearly and gave me options on repair. Service couldn't be better!

At 9:00am I closed my double car garage door only to hear a loud bang. The spring directly above the center of the door had broken. I promptly called Overhead Door Company of Kansas City. The person who took the call was very polite and courteous. She gathered my information and told me she would have a tech at my home between 10:00am and 2:00pm. Phillip, the tech, phoned at approximately 1:00pm to let me know he would be arriving soon. Phillip arrived in about 10 minutes, assessed the door and spring, provided a quote which I accepted and proceeded to do the repairs. After the spring replacement (pair) Phillip adjusted and aligned the door assembly and adjusted the travel settings for my garage door opener. It all works flawlessly and perfectly. I am completely satisfied with the total experience. I have used Overhead Door Company of Kansas City previously when the garage door and door opener were originally installed about a decade ago. I had them out again about 5 years ago to repair my opener after a power surge had damaged the mother board after a severe thunderstorm. I will continue to use Overhead Door Company of Kansas City and highly recommend them.

One of my garage doors kept reversing everytime I tried to close it. I had another company look at it about a year ago and was told that I would need to replace the motor at a cost of approximately $450.00. The company that gave me the estimate raised a bit of a red flag with me since they didn't make any attempt to check out any other possible causes for the malfunction. I put off fixing it ,in part, because of the incovenience of taking time from work to get other estimates. I recently called Overhead Door Company of Kansas City based on recommendations from friends and co-workers, and by checking their reviews on Angie's List. They came out the same day I called, with an evening appointment so I didn't have to take time off, and with no additional charge for the evening appointment. Tony called when he was 30 minutes out to let me know exactly what time he would be there. He checked everything very thoroughly, replaced the photo cells, and made a couple of adjustments to the door track because the door had always closed slightly crooked. Everything was completed in under half an hour and at a much better price than I had been expecting based on what the previous company had told me. Tony was punctual, very pleasant and professional. The garage made a lot of noise and was out of balance. Half the time, it would reverse after going only half way down. There was a lot of side to side movement in the door. After his repair, the door is running quietly and very smoothly.

They got me in early and seen me the same day. He was very helpful and showed me the problems. He did the repairs in a timely manor. I was very pleased with Brian from Overhead Door.

They came out pretty quick. They proposed $395 for a new garage door opener. I know they are much less than that at Sears and the installation is not too complicated when the brackets are already there. The issue was that I just did not know what was wrong with it. In the end, they proposed $200 to replace the gears. I called another garage door place just before Overhead arrived so I would have a comparison. They were considerably lower, but Overhead would not match thier price because they already had me for a trip charge of around $75 which would have consumed the savings. The receptionist told me they would clean and lube the tracks with a tune up. The field guy said they don't do that. story with the chain. They should not mislead the customers like this. Don't do the tune up. Not worth it. In the end, I could have replaced the door with a new one from Sears for around $100. I got gouged.

We had no problems with the whatsoever.

We were given a 4 hour window for service, which is a bit high in my opinion, but not uncommon. The technician called before he came and arrived within the window. He was very pleasant and easy to work with. He completed the service and explained everything he saw. There is a problem with one of the garage doors and a potential problem with our 10 year old door opener. He did not try to pressure us in any way to have additional work done. In fact, he recommended we keep the opener until it dies and not replace the door at this time. I appreciated his honesty.

He said he would be glad to get us new doors, but if we changed these things about it, your old one would work just fine for a few more years. I like that I just had to make a few adjustments. The honesty was refreshing.

Great... The man arrived on time. In fact I wasn't quite at home when i received a call he was on his way. I explained the problem with my garage door and inquired if I should get a key pad installed. The man explained what he needed to do, how much it would cost, and how long it would take him to do the service. The door got repaired on time like he said and he helped me set up a code for the key pad. A very good experience. I will do business with them again.

Could not ask for better service. Signed up after hours for service from their website. Asked for service the next day between 8AM and noon. Service man called at 7:45AM the next morning to confirm he was on his way. Arrived at 8:00AM sharp. Serviceman was very efficient and professional.. Not only took care of problem but took the time to show me what I could do in the future to keep it from happening again. I would definitely recommend them for future work.

We visited the showroom in OP on 3/12/2012. It was difficult to get an exact cost on anything- said they would need to have someone come out to measure our door to see costs. Salesman also mentioned a $100 coupon on website. We went to another retailer, got some more accurate details about breakdown of costs and what covers the door, the opener, the labor, etc. Overhead seemed comparable, and so we went with them since they specialized in garage doors. Sales rep came out on 3/13 and service was performed on 3/14- so very responsive to meeting our needs. Cost was given at $1655. When we called later that day with a reminder of the $100 coupon- they said it would not apply since we already got a "homeshow" discount. Service tech scheduled to show up between 8-9 am, came at 11am since he was held up at another job. He still completed work in time promised. Service tech was professional and informative. Completed work well and within time frame. After reviewing Overhead on Angie's list again- noted the 5% discount for Angie's list members. Showed technician the 5% coupon- called in to get it approved. Discount was applied, but then tech had to call sales rep and discount was removed. Again, citing the "homeshow" discount. This may all be fair and accurate, but invoice does not have any breakdown of costs for door, opener, labor, etc. And an Angie's list discount should not be advertised, if the company claims they already gave it to you before knowing you were a member of Angie's list. Overall, good workmanship and trust quality product. Salesmanship a little "iffy."

The new garage door opener is much smoother and quieter in its operation.

Overhead Door came within an hour of my very early phone call. they replaced the spring in about 20 minutes. i was very pleased with their service and would call them again.

The experience went well. We were happy with the work done. It is an older home and nothing is level because of settling issues. The doors were installed right and there are no air gaps in the doors. We like them alot.

Anthony P., the installer did everything that I asked in a professional manner. I would use Overhead Door and Anthony again and recommend them.

They were very reasonable and prompt. The first time they came, they didn’t have the parts, so they came back the next day with the right parts, installed it and did the other adjustments with weather idling. They didn’t charge me a lot of money for doing that and stayed within their quote. I will use them again in the future.

I hired Overhead Door Company of KC to replace my garage door and garage opener. Greg Ballard, the sales rep, was very prompt and professional. He showed me different garage door types, and explained the differences. I had another company coming later that day, for an estimate. Greg gave me his card, and when I decided to go with his company, I called him. We set up a work date for 8 days later. Sean Leslie was the installer. He was prompt and courteous. He said it would be a 3 hour job, but actually was only 2. He explained the operation of the remotes. He also set my up my wireless keypad for me. The job was very well done. All of the parts from the old garage door and opener were cleaned up and hauled away. I am very pleased with this company, and would recommend them to all my friends and family.

They were on time, fast and friendly! It only took them 5 hours to replace both doors and operators. The doors are top of the line, and so was their work.

I really wish I could remember the name of the gentlemen that actually came out and did the work (may update if I can find the receipt). They came out within the window time that was given. I can't describe how happy I am with the work done. He was the kind of person that actually enjoyed doing his job (which is very hard to find). He described to me exactly the work he was going to do and preform it quickly and in great detail to quality. He offered me one more option to the work being done and I am more that happy that I did even with the additional cost (it made a huge difference in the operation of the door). Being one of the oldest garage door companies in town doing this work, I can see why they've been around so long!!! Highly, highly, highly recommended!!!

The serviceman from Overhead Door was punctual (within their 4 hour estimate), seemed to know his business, and recommended a series of new replacement: pulleys, springs, and safety cables amounting to over $250 with labor charges. Unfortunately, none of these things actually solved the problem and within a couple days the roller popped out of the track, just as it had before the Overhead Door service representative came out. Now I don't know about any of the rest of you. When I spend $250 to get a roller back in its track, I expect it to stay there. I am very dissatisfied with the sham service performed at my home.

Great Service - explained the problem and the solution. I thought pricing was reasonable and he finished service quickly.

Overall my experience was excellant. The person on the phone when I called to set up an appointment was very nice, Anthony showed up close to the start of the window if time I was given and he called when he was on his way. The service was efficient and very effective.
