Went very well and would use again.

I used an Angies list deal for $299 for two men and a 24ft (or 26ft can't remember) truck for three hours. Extra hours were billed at $105. I guestimated that it would only take about 4-5 hours to do the complete move but it ended up taking about double that. Most of that was due to my lack of preplanning and prep. Much of the furniture that I needed moved had to be disassembled and reassembled which took much longer than I anticipated. The two movers were very courteous and hardworking and packed things carefully and took care to not damage doors and walls while moving. I was moving from a four bedroom house with quite a bit of furniture and had already filled a pod from PODS (which is another service I highly recommend). I had a large eliptical machine and treadmill which were both quite heavy and had to be broken down before moving. The eliptical was able to be moved without much hassel. However, we had difficulty breaking down the treadmill and ended up spending close to an hour just trying to get it broken down without success. In hindsight I probably could have saved myself half the cost by having everything disassembled beforehand (which would have been a lot of work so it was probably worth it to have them do it). They were able to get almost everything in the truck (which was filled to the max floor to ceiling) and they maximized space as much as possible. As a comparison, when I moved into the home about five years ago and with less stuff, I did it all myself with the help of friends but it ended up taking 4 trips with a U-haul, 3-4 days and lots of sweat and I probably ended up spending about the same. If I had it to do over again I would definitely go this route but would be a little better prepared. I would also definitely use the PODS or similar service again also to pack up the small stuff.

USE THESE GUYS! The BEST moving experience we have ever had! These guys were prompt, professional, courteous, and FAST! I simply cannot say enough about these guys. Estimate was so reasonable and not-to-exceed pricing option is a great plus. Have already referred others to this service.

Was very impressed by one of the men. He would strap the furniture to his body and move it. He took three flights of stairs like it was nothing. Very nice person also. The other man, who's job I could not quite figure out, was lazier. He was the organizer of the truck, I guess and would stack the boxes and fold the blankets. Was not impressed by him.

It was a very cold morning and I was a little concerned about the move. Zack and Bryan arrived 30 minutes late because they got lost, but once they got there, they started right away. The move went very well. The guys were friendly and helpful. They moved the items into the garage and also moved a lot of large items to the curb for the city to pick up. I purchased a deal on Angie's List for a two-man crew for 3 hours for $299. The job took about 3 1/2 hours, and I had to pay an additional $105.00 for an extra hour because transportation back to the shop was added. Overall, I was very pleased with the company.

They moved all the bigger items from our house and packed and moved all the kitchen stuff. Our failue to give a top rating is because the next day we discovered they had not emptied all the drawers in the kitchen that we told them to. this was the foreman doing the packing. The crew were fine, friendly and helpful. Basically they did good, we just didn't realize the need to check up on what had been done and assumed that they got it all.

Zach was very professional and a hard worker; however, Steve, the supervisor did nothing but complain the whole time. I used the company to move prior to the POD unloading and had three great movers. Would definitely use them again - as long as Steve Starr is not part of the crew.

They showed up early and got right to work. It was a much bigger job than I thought and they didn't complain at all. They were very polite and handled everything with care. I will definitely be recommending them!

They were priced very similarly with another mover I found on Angie's List, but I ended up going with the other mover. I really appreciated their quick response and fair bid! It was a total toss up between the two, and I'm sure N L Wilson would have done a great job, but I ended up going with the other company since I called them first. Great response though!

Tremendous Service. This was a weird move, we had furniture in two different relatives houses that we wanted to bring to our new house. The guys were on time, courteous, and professional. They executed the move efficiently, keeping us from going over the hours we originally estimated. I would (and have) recommended them again to others

excellent work. wrapped and taped everything that could get damaged. Moved heavy furniture with ease and did a great job for us. Would highly recommend them. If every we have another move will make sure they are called. Very nice people to work with.

N.L. Wilson was fantastic moving my home. A rep came to my house a few weeks ahead of time to look at the items in my home and provide a guaranteed price. The move ended up taking about an hour longer than estimated, but I still paid the guaranteed price, which ended up being a few hundred dollars less than another company that had bid the move. I had 4 movers with one large truck and a van. The movers were awesome! Super nice guys, very professional, very polite, just overall seemed happy to be there helping me. Any time I tried to do anything for myself, they were there asking if they could take over and move the item for me. At the end of the move, they asked if there was anything else I would like moved around before they left, and seemed happy to do it, after 7 hours of moving stuff already. I followed up with a manager a couple days later just to let them know how pleased I was with their service. All this along with a discount for finding them through Angie's list, I could not be more pleased. They made my move as stress free as possible.

They have been great and are reasonably priced.

Fine. Movers were polite, helped place furniture where it needed to be, and had to take it to a second floor.

There were a couple issues with the move that were annoying but wouldn't have resulted in a poor review. For instance, the mover did not pack everything. They finished the packing and loading, the truck left and when we began to get the house cleaned up for the new occupants we kept finding belongings that didn't get packed or loaded. NL Wilson did respond quickly and sent another packer out and later a second, smaller truck to collect the goods so, while annoying, this wasn't so bad. Things happen. My house was packed and moved Wednesday but we were unable to get unloaded until Friday because the driveway of the new home was too narrow for the truck and trailer. I am not sure I agree that with the assessment the driver made and felt they could've gotten the equipment up to the house but the drive elected to not take the chance and took our packed goods away Wednesday night. They came back Thursday late afternoon to try again and were unable to accomplish anything so, once again they left with our stuff. Finally, they showed up Friday at 3:00 in the afternoon with a second truck to shuttle our goods from the front of the drive to the house. By 1:00 am Saturday morning everyone was exhausted so we agreed to quit for the night and the movers would come back the next day to finish re-assembling furniture and any last few things that needed to be moved. While all of this was annoying, I still wouldn't have been so upset with them because, once again, I understand this kind of stuff happens. What ticked me off and the reason I give NL Wilson a less than stellar review is that they never came back... They were very quick to call me the next day for payment whereupon explained that because of the need for the shuttle truck there would be additional charges on the "not to exceed" quote number. We resolved that quickly to my satisfaction and they indicated to me that they would be back to finish the furniture but they never came. We soon figured out why the likely chose not to come back. When we attempted to reassemble my daughters bed half of the hardware was missing and some of the hardware actually broken off in the bed. I assume this happened when they were disassembling the bed but we were never notified. Bottom line, the move took longer than projected which was a pain but we could've lived with that but I have a bunk bed that I can not use and I haven't heard a peep from NL Wilson. It went very well, they were careful and worked quickly.

I called to get an estimate on moving. A few days later someone from the company ( a very nice and professional woman) came and gave me an estimate for moving everything vs. moving just furniture and large items. We had already ordered a container from United Mayflower for the boxes but I wanted to see what it would cost to have them move everything for us instead. She walked through the entire house with me so I could show her what we needed them to move. Then she emailed me the estimates later that day. We decided to move the boxes and small stuff ourselves and hire them to move the large stuff. The movers arrived on time. They were very friendly. Derek was great and really listened to what I needed! They all joked around which was nice. I asked about the wardrobe boxes but they didn't bring any. He must have called the office because pretty soon a very nice man showed up with a bunch of them. The guys covered the floors nicely before they started moving things out. They worked fast. I was told that they would park on the street and not in the driveway however they did park in the driveway but had to move halfway through because the driver showed up to move the container and couldn't do it with the truck in the way. The guys moved the truck but of course it took time. We still have some boxes in the basement to open but so far nothing was broken or damaged. The guys moved a heavy treadmill out of one basement and into the other. They also moved a medium sized deep freezer, gas grill, large table saw, large outdoor plant plus normal household furniture. They also unloaded all the wardrobe boxes into the Master closet and the coats into the coat closet. That was a nice surprise! It took them 5 hours which was more than I expected but less than the estimate however we ended up fitting more into the container we rented than we thought we would. All in all it was a good experience. I will never move again without hiring movers and I would use NL Wilson Moving and Storage again. Hopefully I won't be moving again for a long long time!

I am in the process of a home renovation and will need to move my household furnishings 1 mile up the road from me to a storage unit while the month long renovation is done. I bought the $299 deal for 3 hours labor, two men and a 24 foot truck after talking to a guy named Mark on Friday the 23rd. I informed him where I lived and asked when the first date they would be able to move me was. He was polite and told me September 6th, never mentioning anything about an up-charge for being out their service radius. After purchasing the deal this morning, I got a response via the message center on AL telling me that the 6th would work, but that they would charge me $25 in addition for a trip charge. I take responsibility for not knowing I was 6.6 miles outside the 25 mile radius from their "warehouse." So I wrote back and asked them to cancel, and that I could find a deal closer that was less expensive. I just thought I would try to support the Angie's List community. They sent an e-mail back stating "Sounds good! Please contact Angie's List in regards to your purchase." I would have liked to have seen some accommodations for only being 6.6 miles over, but I guess business is business. Would not use them or refer them in the future.

While I did not see the removal of my items. My nephew, who was supervising the removal mentioned that they would not move the 42" Plasma TV. Not sure why. Once they got to the new home.. They went right to work after I showed them were things needed to go. I had to leave before they finished, do to bad timing on my part. When I returned, they were done. And although they did not arrive until 8:30am, they wanted to charge a "trip fee" and wanted to collect the full amount for the 6 hours they worked. Someone in the home office did not completely inform them of the fact that I had already paid for 3 hours of services thru Angies List. While this was worked out, there were other issues: Did not properly connect the washer (They connected the water hoses backwards and sat the washer on the drain hose.) Did not properly connect the refrigerator (My refrigerator has a filter on it and has two connections as a result of the old design. They only connected one of the hoses and as a result, once the water was turned on, it poured out the other hose. I had to research how to connect them properly) Scratched dresser with mirror on top in middle of dresser Scuffed wall in stairwell. Scuffed wall in hallway. One of the reasons I am noting all theses issues is that I called the company before hand and spoke to someone noting my major concern that things would not be done and I not find out about it until later. In this instance, I did not know about them until after they had gone. I did not think to ask for a walk thru before they left and they did not offer. And while I do not disagree with other folks having excellent reviews of this company. I will not be joining the chorus.

Moving is never a fun task, but NL Wilson Moving made it tolerable. The guys that came to move my things from my home to their storage were very professional, and moved things so quickly! I didn't even need the full 3 hours that I had booked because they worked so hard. An even bigger benefit, is that they were careful with my things, especially the antiques that I was moving. I definitely will be using them for all my moves going forward.

We had selected N L Wilson after getting more than 5 quotes from different moving companies and what a great decision we made! Their quote was the lowest and they did an awesome job for us. Right from the day they loaded our belongings to the day they delivered, everything went really well. We worked with Matt and he was the best! Very polite and professional not to mention of the guys that showed up for the move - they were equally good. We recommend N L Wilson to all families who plan to move interstate or locally. We cannot thank them more for their professionalism and great work in packing all stuff and moving them to the destination as promised.

The guys showed up on time to our storage locker. We had 2 indoor storage units full of boxes and furniture that needed to goto our new house along with the furniture and items at the apartment we were temporarily living . The truck was slightly smaller than was required, but because the crew was experienced they packed it perfectly. We then had to goto our apt and move the large bedroom and living room items. We had already boxed up most of the smaller stuff. Again they loaded the truck perfectly, taking care to cover the furniture and flat screen TV's so they were protected. Once the truck was fully loaded we realized we were going to need to make another trip to get the rest of our items. The crew got to the new house and unloaded pretty quick, placing the boxes in the designated rooms. We then drove 40 miles back to our apt and the crew finished loading the remainder of our items. Drove 40 miles back to the new house and again unloaded quickly. This was a 14 hour move and even though they had to make 2 trips, the guys did a great job. The price was reasonable and the crew was courteous and responsive to where we needed stuff placed. I would use NL Wilson again.

Was moving from a 3rd floor apartment to a house so I knew i didn't want to do this by myself with all the large furniture and heavy things to take down the stairs. The crew arrived right on time on Saturday morning. They started quickly and were able to complete the job in less than 4 hours, from start until they left the house. Were quick, very professional and cautious and everything got to its destination perfectly. I am very happy with their job and would recommended and use them in the future again. 5 stars.

Overall, the three-man team did a great job. They were very polite, clean, listened to all instructions and seemed quite upbeat for moving extremely heavy and/or large furniture. (Lots of antiques!) We used a coupon from Angie's List with no problems. Before moving, they walked through the house to assess everything, see what should be put on the truck first and put down floor protection. They listened to our concerns about our deep freezer full of food, and how best to get the food from it to the new house quickly, as well as the deep freezer off the truck first. They even carried the coolers full of food for us. My one complaint was that they were late, but to their credit, they were stuck in highway accident traffic and did call to alert us to the delay.

Scheduling the service was easy, and they were very accomodating when I learned I had to reschedule because my containers would arrive a day later than expected. They couldn't guarantee a start time for an afternoon move because they never know when a morning move will complete, but they called twice to provide updates. I was moving into a very small house and there were only a few places I could put my furniture. I walked the unloaders through the house up front and told them where to put the 4 big pieces of furniture. Instead of bringing those pieces in right away, they started piling boxes in the spots I had designated for the furniture. When I explained this, they wouldn't stop bringing in more boxes and I had to call the office and have them ask to stop and listen to me. The office/scheduling staff was good, but the actual movers were a little lacking. I don't think one of the movers fully understood or read English; he asked me to read labels on boxes and I think he confused "bathroom" and "bedroom". I found several of my "downstairs bathroom" and "spare bedroom" boxes upstairs in the "master bedroom". Everything was brought in okay and they didn't cause any damage, but they defintely weren't the same caliber as the loaders I used. They were cheapest unloader, and I guess you get what you pay for.
