KC Arborist Tree Care

Very busy company so plan ahead Once I was able to get on the schedule, everything went very smoothly. I had called for an estimate in the spring but was slow to call them back so the work was not completed until fall. Last year was a very busy one due to the weather and my trees were not damaged or dangerous so I can certainly understand having to be patient. A certified arborist walked the property with me and listened carefully to what I wanted/needed. I received a detailed list of the work to be done shortly after that. The costs were all broken down so I knew exactly what each part of the job was costing me. I did forgo having the ash tree treated for the emerald ash borer at that time, but have since made arrangement for it to be taken care of this year ($200-250 ?). The crew arrived on time, did a very good job of trimming and shaping the trees and cleaned up well afterward. Work done was far superior to that of a well known lawn and garden company I had used about five years ago. This job cost twice as much, but I feel I got about three times the work for it. The tree close to the house needed to be removed and the other trees were larger. The crew actually climbed them to do proper trimming and opening of the crown so add in the entertainment value. I think I received excellent work for a good price. Before, everything was done from the ground and trees that had supposedly been limbed up to six feet were back in my five foot face in a matter of weeks. Great job guys!!

Justin provided an estimate for us on removing dead limbs on our large oak tree in the backyard. We were pleased that he came in lower than other estimates and booked the appointment. The crew was punctual and professional. They were careful to remove our patio furniture to protect it before starting the work. They worked efficiently for several hours and we were pleased with their process and the results.

I received call back from Jody at KC Arborist. He apologized for neglecting to send me the bid to have my tree removed. He thought he had sent it to me and realized it was not sent out. Jody expressed regret and then emailed the bid to me. The bid for tree removal did fall within the same cost range as our other bids. We will consider their services when we decide to have the tree removed.

Jeff came out and gave us a bid, gave us some information on our trees and what he would recommend. This bid differed from two others, he seemed very knowledgeable on what was best for our trees. The work was performed quickly and cleanly, they hauled off all the debris. Great company!

Great job! They came out while we were at work, removed the tree and the bushes, ground the stumps down, and filled with topsoil. When I got home, I wasn't sure they had come out, because they left absolutely zero mess! But I had no tree, just a level spot of dirt where it used to be.

The process was very easy. We requested a quote online and received it by email. When we replied to accept the bid, we were told we would be contacted in two weeks to set up the date for the work. It was actually faster than that; we were called in about a week. We did not have to be home for the work. They came, completed the job, and billed us. We were very happy with their work. There was no damage to any surrounding plants, and they cleaned up after themselves very well. Part of the tree stump was ground up and left as a small mound of wood chips where the tree had been. We moved some of the chips to use as mulch around a couple of other trees. Overall, we were pleased with KC Arborist and will use them again when needed.

I sent an email to KC Arborist requesting an appointment. Shortly after, Jeff Sifrit came by on Feb 25 to look at my trees and submit a bid. These were 'never pruned' oaks that cast too much shade on the tiny lawn of my newly built home. It was necessary to schedule work quickly, as oak trees should NOT be pruned after the buds swell in order to avoid Oak Wilt disease which is prevalent in the metro KC area. Jeff, fortunately, had an opening the following week. Otherwise, I would have needed to wait until late summer, for the safety of the trees. Jeff showed up on time with two certified arborists who worked in the trees, and a helper who did the ground work. Jeff instructed his team on what was to be done and left. The temperature was only 34 degrees, with 2" snow on the ground, but the workers took their time, did a thorough job and cleaned up well. Jeff called later to follow up on the work that was performed. I am a long time Master Gardener and know about trees, their care... and how they should be pruned and maintained. Trust me, this company knows their business and does quality work! I highly recommend them...

It was a little scary watching them trim and take out branches, but we really do trust their know-how. Very polite, on time and easy access via test and email. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. We will definitely use them again.

They did an excellent job on the trees and were very considerate about cleaning up after the work was done.

Removed a fallen tree from my backyard the same day I called them and removed another smaller tree.

Contacted them for an estimate for tree triming and to remove dead tree and stump. I told them to put us on their schedule. Waiting for several weeks. They called on a Friday said they would arrive Monday. I called and cancelled their service. They showed up weeks later and starting trimming trees without my ok or without us signing a contract. They argued and were agreesive. They eventually took us to small claims and the judgement was in their favor. Unbelievable! We had done the tree removal work ourselves, and they even cut in to our irrigation line. In addition that, they did a very extreme trim back of the trees. We will see what they look like in the spring. Horrible experience. Still can not believe the end result. If you choose to do business with them, make sure you meet them face to face and have a detail contract signed.

The crew arrived promptly on scheduled date and were very professional. Work was done per stated in the contract and they did a nice job of cleaning and raking the yard after removal of the tree. Will definitely use this company again in the future.

The crew was very courteous and professional and went out of their way to ensure the safety of my two older horses in the paddock in the path of a portion of the project. I was very impressed that they took the time to remove the overhanging limbs in a way that slowed them down, of course, while they took care not to drop them into the paddock. When I first spoke to them about the project, I expressed my concern about the horses, and from start to finish, the crew handled the project in the very best way possible. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again.

After the initial estimate I got a few more estimates and called them back. Justin was great to talk with and the wait was only about 3 weeks out. They arrived the day and time they said they would. I cold front was coming through that day and there were strong winds and rain but they did the job regardless. The large tree was removed and stump ground down very well. All debris was picked up. What an excellent crew and we will definitively use them again when the time comes.

It went very well. The crew was professional, fast but careful and thorough, and hauled away all the debris. Our trees look much better and taking care of them adds to their overall health and beauty. I love our trees and was somewhat hesitant that they might take too much off the trees but as they began work I felt the head of the crew was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what he was doing with each tree.

This was a lot of work, well done and reasonably well cleaned up. The price was very good compared to previous work I'd had by another company. The trees look so much better, and having the stump removed and the area filled in with dirt was a dream come true. Previous bid to remove the stump had been so high that I'd gone ahead and just lived with it for years. $200 to remove it and clean up was reasonable.

He was super friendly and nice. I wanted some tree (less than 3 years old) and bush removals for my house. I live pretty far from his service area. He provided me with options that I didn't even think of - like going a more inexpensive route of contacting my lawn service who could possibly remove them as well. He talked me through the details on considerations of professional tree removal. Super nice guy. He knew his stuff. If I ever have a need for a huge tree removal, I would definitely call him.

KC Arborist did a great job--as always. They are careful when they climb the trees and tie off branches that might harm lower vegetation when they drop. They rake and blow all debris to gather and haul away. They carefully diagnose diseases and potential problems if left untreated. They also make suggestions for what we can do to maintain our trees. I coudn't be more pleased with the service we've received over the last seven or so years. Thanks to Brandon, Justin, and the rest of the friendly crew.

Excellent job with minimal debris and wear and tear on the lawn. Staff seemed well-trained, the equipment was professional and up-to-date, the guys wore safety equipment, and the entire job was done in one day. The equipment and debris overflowed into the neighbor's yard and I wish we had known so we could have warned them ahead of time. Fortunately this did not turn out to be a problem with the neighbor. The work was performed in a safe manner which I greatly appreciated. I know now why it is not an inexpensive process. We have a large shed that is like new that had two dead trees close to it that had to be removed . The area they were working in also had a neighbor's fence to work around. I would highly recommend getting the stumps ground. Once the stump cavity is filled with top soil and grass seed is planted, you can't tell there was a tree there. We also have quite a bit of landscaping with a sprinkler system. The only casualty was one cheap flower that toppled off a retaining wall which I replanted. The customer service was very good. There was one follow up item for a tree that got missed in the trimming. Brandon came out the day I called and had a person out in quick fashion to handle it. I had a bid within a couple of days, the work was scheduled and completed within a couple of weeks. I think we got a fair deal and

I called them early afternoon as the tree had been compromised by the wind and was unstable. Jeff showed up on time, quoted it a bit less than the estimate on the phone and they went to work. They downed it, chipped it, ground the stump and cleaned up after themselves all in about 45 minutes. The guys were courteous, quick and professional. I would recommend them and hire them again.

Arrived on time. Received call several days prior to give an exact date and time that work would be done. Gentleman had me look at work preformed to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. The original bid did not include the price for haul away of stump grindings and I assumed it was part of the original bid. Felt they should have told me it was additional and asked if I wanted it. Luckily the man removing the stump mentioned us taking grindings away and that is what alerted me to the fact that they did not intend to. A quick phone took care of the issue but he would have left without cleaning up the huge pile of grindings.
