Description of Work: They came out to the house to spray our Ash tree to prevent disease/fungus. Seems to have worked well as our leaves look better this summer than they did the previous two summers. The had to come out three times to spray. The price seems a little high, but I haven't really shopped around so I don't have a comparison. The reason I rated their professionalism a C is because they deliver their bills for each spray separately on old printer paper and require you to mail in a check.

Description of Work: The removed deadwood from a pin oak, trimmed a magnolia, removed a 16 lateral from an ash tree hanging over the garage, and removed a broken lead on another ash tree, cleaned up and disposed of the debris. They arrived promptly after my first call to provide an estimate. The work was scheduled for later after we returned from vacation. The crew arrived as scheduled, did the cutting and were very thorough in cleaning up the yard debris as the work was completed.

Description of Work: I called them after a storm had done some significant damage and left some large limbs dangling dangerously over my front patio. It was the day after a storm, so I knew they would be busy, but they got to my house in about 45 minutes from calling. The crew very quickly and efficiently removed any dangerous limbs. They cleaned up well, and left my patio looking better than before they arrived. In and out in 30 minutes. This was my first experience with this company, and will definitely not be my last.

Description of Work: Took out a huge storm-damaged ash tree, ground out the stump, trimmed remaining large trees, and hauled everything away. Service was quick and professional, quote was received via email, contact was easy to get a hold of, clean up was immaculate. The technicians are certified arborists which was important to me.

Description of Work: KC Arborist sprayed several of our trees for common pests after inspecting them. They were very professional. Their pricing seemed a little on the high side but I think it's worth it based on their knowledge and quality.

Description of Work: We didn't even get to the tree service...KC Arborist's put us off and put us off telling us...we'll come this week...we'll come this week...this went on for months...if they were too busy they should have just told us that...plus wen we called, we were told 1) the work had already been done 2) we were not in the system 3) they would call us... NOT to all this. When we finally got them on the phone it all went to h***...we ended up yelling at each other...

Description of Work: President of company came out to inspect for emerald ash borer and all trees; seven (7) huge trees in total. Very professional and explained in detail about each tree and work that should be done. Quote emailed within a matter of minutes. Co. called before coming out to treat ash tree, which was within two (2) days of quote, so I would know they were on their way. All seven trees need some type of work including removal of a silver maple that is hollow. Price excellent for the type and amount of work K.C. Arborist has already completed and will be completing within the next couple of weeks.

Description of Work: They removed a dead tree and ground the stump about 2.5 below ground level. They actually were able to come a few days earlier than original projected availability to do the work and called ahead to reschedule for the earlier date, showed up on time, and worked hard while here. The price seemed a bit high, but the other tree service company I called never even returned my call. Was a bit disappointed in the use of top soil that had gotten wet at some earlier time and was "clumped" in rather large "sticky" clumps, not mixing well into the soil in the surrounding area. Also, quite a bit of the plastic liner under the surrounding rock was "chewed up" by the grinder, and I did find bits of black plastic blowing around the yard over the following couple of weeks. I would possibly use them again if I had another tree problem, but would also check competitor prices and reputations, and if I did use K.C. Arborist again would make certain to communicate the concerns about having better top soil and care to not tear up any liner that might be present in the immediate area.

Description of Work: Removed one very large maple tree in front yard that had been damaged in a wind storm 3 years ago and had never recovered (work included stump grinding and surface root removal). Trimmed a large pine tree beside house. Also trimmed a hedge row of very large Osage Orange trees (12 trees total) that line the back of my property. That work consisted of pruning, thinning, and removing dead, dying and broken limbs. Also removed a large portion of one of the trees that was encroaching on a neighbor's tree. The estimator (Jody) had provided a time and material estimate for 2 climber/trimmers and 1 helper for 8 hours maximum. Jody was there at the beginning of the job to confirm with me the scope of the work to be done, and came back near the end to confirm that I was satisfied with the results. All work was completed in about 7 hours, including complete removal/clean-up, and final cost was about $300 under estimate. Was very satisfied with the crew, the work performed and the final cost.

Description of Work: K.C. Arborist removed two pine trees, and trimmed a plum tree in our back yard. They ground the stumps down below ground level, and cleaned up very well. They did a great job for us, and I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: They removed four trees from our property. They arrived when they said they would (they called the day before to let us know they were coming). In three and one half hours they had removed all the trees. One of which was a huge dead oak, another one was a now dead American Elm in the middle of a large stand of other trees -- and therefore difficult to get reach. All limbs and small branches as well as the logs and trunks were removed. There was no trace of their having been here. None. They were a very professional crew, polite, full of good humor and went straight to work upon arrival. They are simply the most trust worthy and reliable arborists in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

Description of Work: I had several trees with branches so low I had to duck low to walk under them. I hired KC Arborist to trim dead branches out of one tree and also trim up five trees. Three large trees were trimmed up 12 feet. Two smaller trees trimmed up 8 feet. They provided me with an estimate that was as good as or better than others. They came to do the work about two weeks later. The trees look great!. They cleaned up the yard great too. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: My junipers at the front of my home were diseased and needed to be removed. I was first given an assessment of the condition of all of the trees on the property with suggestions for their care plus an estimate of the cost. The team was prompt in their arrival and careful with the project. One of the trees had a bird's nest with three tiny robins which they relocated with tender loving care to my pear tree. I have enjoyed watching the robins at their feeding times. Attention to the tiny details means so much to me.

Description of Work: Removed 11 large trees on property surrounding home; ground stumps, ground up cut trees, cleaned up area and completed entire job in one day starting at 8:30 am, and ending at 5:00 pm. Excellent skill levels in sizeable crew and supervisors that responded. Very professional, knowledgeable, company. Well worth the cost for the job done. Will use again as we have many trees on 9 acres that will need care from time to time.

Description of Work: We live on a heavily wooded lot with many old oak, hickory, walnut and elm trees. We have used KC Arborist twice; once for trimming and once for removal of a tree. Both times they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. They are very careful not to damage lawn, etc., when doing their work.
