Had a bad window that had been leaking for years. It had been damaged when the house was built, and was not discovered until years later. I contacted a few different companies off Angie's list, but they were unwilling to come out to replace just one window. Johnson County Siding & Window Co had done some good work for me year's ago, so I sent them an email thru Angie's List to see if they would be willing to handle one window. Justin replied promptly, came out and gave me an estimate. The window's on my house are no longer manufactured, so it had to be special ordered. That's why the cost is a bit higher than you might expect. It took about 3 weeks to get the window in. Once it arrived, Justin called me back and we set the date for the install. Rodger showed up on time and got to work right away. He removed the shutters, and then spent an hour cutting the window out of that stucco wall. He carefully installed the new window, sealed everything well, replaced the shutters, and then did a great job of cleaning up the entire area. Justin followed up a few days later to ask how everything went. The window looks great and matches the other windows well. Nice job.

This is the 2nd time I have used Johnson County to replace windows & doors. They replaced our front door and main floor and upstairs windows in 2012 and when we were ready to do our walkout basement I never thought to call anyone else. They are professional, courteous and reliable. The windows and doors work beautifully & have added warmth in the winter and coolness in the summer because they are so well insulated. An unexpected benefit was the reduction of outside noise after the installation.

This was a big project for us. Just choosing a contractor was the hardest part. Justin Christie presented us a well thought out and detailed plan that included suggestions tailored to what we needed and not just what he was interested in selling us. This was much better than others we met with. The project started on time and went reasonably smooth. The work site, although hectic, was kept clean as possible and safe. Minimal damage to landscaping and no unexpected damage to the home. The work crew was professional and courteous at all times. Our questions and concerns were always addressed in timely fashion. Justin was on site to supervise at regular intervals and was always available by phone. This project took a bit longer than we anticipated but the crew showed up when they said they would and worked longer hours on many days than I expected them to. We are very satisfied overall. I have already recommended Jo Co Siding and Windows to others and would readily hire them again.

It went very good. They were very professional & did an A1 job. They used quality products & completed it in a very timely manner. They were very punctual and friendly. They kept us informed on when things would be done. This was the first time we had ever done anything like this & we were very happy with the finished product.

Johnson County Siding and Windows did an great job siding my house. The crew's quality of work was outstanding. Any questions I had during the process were answered promptly and any issues I had (there were not many) were handled immediately to my satisfaction. The crew was a pleasure to work with. I found their prices reasonable. This is one company I would recommend.

We ended up selecting a different contractor for the work primarily based on project schedule and to a lesser extent, price. I was very pleased, however, with their responsiveness and overall quality of the proposal. During the meeting, it was obvious that Bill was extremely experienced, seemed "down to earth" and did not pressure us at all to make a decision. I respect anyone that can run a small business as long as he has. If you're in the market for siding or other exterior work, I would suggest talking with Bill Cristie. I don't know Bill other than this bid, just my personal opinion based on the meeting and quote.

These guys did a great job! Family owned business and they treat you like they want you as a long term multi-use customer in the future as well. I chose Simonton 5050 Reflections vinyl windows, double hung with a couple of half circle top accent windows. Price, both windows and labor was about 30% less than quote I got from Pella with no discernible difference in window quality or warranty. (Pella's cost on the half rounds was WAY higher). And I think the labor quality was better than I saw in my neighbor's house who had similar window replacement done using Pella. JOCO Siding & Windows were complete professionals. On time, on budget, kept me fully informed every step of the way. Very responsive to any unexpected issues as they arose. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the end result. Would use these guys again in a heartbeat and have already recommended to a couple of my neighbors who are thinking of replacing some of their windows. The time from custom ordering to window delivery was very short with Simonton, only about 4 wks. The JOCO Siding & Windows crew started installation same day and were installed within a couple of days with the trim, finish, and painting work following shortly thereafter. No up front payment was asked for (other bidders had wanted 50% up front) which tells me JOCO Siding & Windows are confident in their product quality and service delivery, and certainly lived up to my expectations in that regard.

Johnson County Siding & Window did an excellent job. We were kept well informed of the planned time for the work and when the work began it was completed with good craftsmanship and in an expeditious manner. Justin communicated with us clearly and regularly throughout the process. Johnson County Siding & Window met all of our expectations.

The job went well. Justin showed up on time and when he said he was going to. The actual work was delayed due to the wet spring weather. No fault of Johnson County Siding and Windows.

Everyone involved with my project was extremely professional. The meeting we had for the estimate was low pressure and very informative. Several options were given without getting pushed into something more expensive. Justin took the time to answer all of our questions until we were comfortable with the answers. The install crew was nearly invisible - installing the windows without disturbing the house, the yard, or our family. They cleaned up like they were finished every day. When I came home, the only evidence they were there was the installed windows. I was blown away by the quality and professionalism of the install process.

As far as I know, the installation was perfect, and it looks that way. His lead man, Rosie, was great, and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. However, the owner of the company is a different story. I was lied to about when they would start, and lied to several times about when they would finish. He "mis-counted" my windows to be replaced, so he tried to tack on another $800 on the bill. They delivered the dumpster to my neighbors house (on his brand new driveway). He lied about what I had said in front of his workers, making it look like I had complained about them not showing up, which I had never done. Since he was starting later than he said he would, he said he would have his "crew" there 3 days later and the job would be done in 2 weeks. 90% of the time, it was one person. The next week he said it would be 3 weeks. they finally finished in 5 weeks. He is one of the most disingenuous, dishonest and despicable people I have ever met. The gutter covers did not work when the rains started in April. The 10 inches of rain we got in the next 4 weeks rolled right over the gutters and fell down right next to my house. The 4th time I made him aware of it, I told him to take them off my house. He finally admitted that it was a mistake to put them on my house because the roof pitch was too steep for them to work properly. Isn't this something he should have known before he put them on my house? But the ground was already too saturated, so when it rained 2 and 1/2 inches the next night, I got water in one small corner of my basement as a result. First leak in the 19 years I've been there. Hasn't leaked since the gutter covers were removed. It's back to cleaning the gutters out by hand 4 times a year. I will never use this contractor again, and will tell everyone I know never to use him again. Can't believe he's a Super Service Award winner. The single worst experience I've had with any contractor in my life. Once again, his hired man Rosie was great, and did a great job. The owner is an amateur human being at best.

Worked with Justin to determine what I needed. The customer service was over the top, the quality of the workmanship was great. Was completed in a timely fashion and felt the cost was certainly fair. I looked at lots of window replacement companies for the past few years and feel I made the correct choice going with JoCo Siding and Windows. I plan on using them again when I replace my siding in the future as well. Don't hesitate to call them up and ask for Justin to come out and talk to you about your project. You'll be very glad you did.

We called the company and set up an appointment with Justin. We had a basic idea of what we wanted. Justin arrived to discuss our project and found him incredibly knowledgeable about what we wanted to do. He went out of his way to not oversell us and in several cases told us that if it was his house this is what he would do or has already done at his house. We contracted to have all new windows and cement fiber siding on the whole house. The initial start was delayed because they had to order the products (windows and siding) and also because they only basically work one project at one time as they use their own workers. IT was also contracted during the winter which was a time not suited to doing our work. Once they started, it was amazing. The first day I heard someone around 7:30 or 8 starting to unload and getting ready to start the project. The next thing I knew there were 4 or 5 workers who worked until 7 PM the first day. I don't even recall them taking breaks. They worked fast and efficiently, and were extremely knowledgeable. The windows were in the first day and then they started on the siding. The whole project from start to finish was less than two weeks. Justin was there every day to monitor their progress and to answer my questions. Our neighbors can't believe the difference in the house, because we went from a house that was a drab yellow/orange with shake shingle siding to a beautiful blue-grey color and smooth Hardie Cement Fiber Siding, plus new windows. We are in love with our house again! The workers went out of their way to get this project done fast and efficiently. They even took down a think metal basketball goal post filled with cement that was not part of the project. Despite some changes along the way, they only charged the contract price. As Justin said, "we don't want any surprises for the customer at the end." They also did not take any money up-front which tells me they are an established company, and did not request payment until completion of the project. This is by far the best contractor I have worked with and would not hesitate to call them again for the next project. We have also recommended them to some of the neighbors already. Justin managed the project well from start to finish. Unfortunately, the project wasn't completed as originally scheduled, 4 of the 9 windows were ordered incorrectly, and 4 windows required two separate follow up visits from a manufacturer's rep due to the wrong sashes having been installed at the factory. Throughout all this, Justin remained in constant contact with me and provided honest updates. The install crew was professional and courteous. The final result was above average, but not perfect. I agreed to allow a few small issues go unresolved in the interest of closing the project, though Justin was adamant that the crew could come back and correct the defects that I identified. In summary; while the schedule did slip (as it does on all construction projects), the price was excellent, the end result was good, and the contractor was professional. I will use them again.

Justin was our contractor. He was profession, kind a curtious. He was there for us every step of the process. He had crews that were the most hard working men I have ever me. Rosie and Ed were unbelievable. Their work ethic was and is the best I have seen in a long time. We had a very large job and they were here on time every day! Never once complaint even when the weather was freezing cold! By the end of the process they were like family! They went way above the call of duty! Even notifying me when the UPS people were her. I had no problems leaving the house knowing Ed or Rosey were here. Justin's communication was 100%. If I had a question he was responsive within 10 minutes. Seriously, look no where else. This group of men are unbelievably great!! (PS) This was out second go around fixing the house. What a world of professional difference!!!! Go with Johnson County!!

We worked with Bill Christie, the owner from the initial bids through project completion. He was upfront with his backlog at the time we signed the contract, and kept us posted when actual installation dates were moved back due to weather, etc. While the overall project duration extended longer than it would have during more inclement weather, Bill exploited every unseasonably warm winter day in late January and early February to complete the project efficiently. The hard working demo and siding install team were headed up by an extremely competent foreman named Rosie. He is quite detail oriented and insured most every detail or question was addressed. Ed, the finish carpenter reconstructed three existing soffit's which had failed, as well as do a great job fitting/installing all of our new doors and building a very nice exit deck from our patio door. The painters that Bill bragged about did not let him down as they did a great job caulking, prepping, and painting the entire exterior of our home. In the end, the project was very successful. We are quite pleased with this first phase of our remodel project and the new look of our home exterior. A couple of noteworthy items that place Bill's company apart from most others: everyone on the job were his direct employees, and not a penny of payment was expected until the job was completed.

It went exactly as you'd hope, which unfortunately is very uncommon. They were here when they said they would be. It went eactly as described, and there were no issues as all. Questions were answered promptly. The crew was respectful and polite.

Replaced 20+ year old very rotten and water damaged huge picture windows (inside and outside work required). Repaired all of the wood rot inside and out. Repainted, caulked, outside and replaced the trim and repainted the inside as well. The work was exceptional. The owner is an absolute gentleman, a professional, and great guy. When the inside trim was not the correct white color the owner had his guys come out and repaint. He was interested in solving our problems as much as selling us windows. Experienced a small leak after new windows were installed (just a few drips on the inside) and owner came out promptly himself and we isolated it to a bad horizontal trim board twenty feet above the window---i.e. not related to the window installation but to my bad siding and trim on my house. Once we replaced that siding trim board ourselves during a separate house painting job, caulked the top of the board, then no more leaks. When I get ready to replace my Masonite siding with HardyBoard in a few years, or replace other windows on the house, I will have Johnson County Siding and Window bid it definitely. I have no doubts about their level of quality and customer service.

From the first time we met Justin, everything went smoothly. He was very polite, really knew his products and how the job would be done. No questions were silly. He didn't push us to make a decision and even suggested that we get other bids. Whenever I left him a message, he would call me back. His guys were here when they said they would be and did an excellent job. As he came out today for the final walk through, no item was small enough to be fixed. For the whole house, there are only two small things he will fix. The only drawback was how long we had to wait till he could start. But we knew that meant he must be good to have so many jobs without advertising. We are very pleased and would recommend him to anyone. You will get an honest, hardworking and good workmanship company.

At least in this case, I think it is fair to say "you get what you pay for". This job may have been a bit more expensive than I could have gotten it done for somewhere else but, I am very satisfied with the quality of the product and the work done to install it. Almost everything was done in one day. Ed, the installer, worked very hard in very cold weather. He did an excellent job under adverse conditions and was always pleasant and easy to talk to. He put a tarp up over the doorway and on the entry floor to keep out the cold and debris. He worked the entire day, alone, took out the old door, installed the new door and cleaned everything up. The work included new interior wood trim, stained to match the door. The door fits perfectly and looks beautiful. When you stand next to it, you can feel the difference as well. The old door was steel and the inside surface was cold in the winter. We had weather stripped it, but it was still a little drafty. Now it is difficult to feel any air movement around it at all and even with the temperature in the teens lately, the inside surface is about as warm as the ambient room temperature. The job went very well.

Bill and his crew were very professional, courteous and responsive to our needs. They did an excellent job and we are very happy with the finished product.

Justin Christie was our contact and he could not have been easier to work with or more professional. Every aspect of the job was done on time and courteously. No mess was left behind and there was minimal interruption with our daily routines. The help we received with respect to color and finish choices were greatly appreciated and made a large difference. The one aspect of our experience that we would change is to finish the windows that needed interior staining ourselves. The application of the stain and polyurethane was poorly done. All other aspects of our experience were great! The windows and doors are beautiful and we would not hesitate to work with Justin and Johnson County Siding and Window again.

Technician arrived on time, and worked a very hard full day to make sure the installation was perfect, including insulation and filling and touch-up of all inside trim.

JoCo Siding and Window was the 4th and last company we invited to provide us a bid to replace some 17 year old rotting windows in our home. After Bill provided some background on his company, he asked questions about our window situation. We explained that we wanted to replace our casement windows due to wood rot. Unlike the other companies, Bill inspected the condition of the windows, and as a result, gave us a surprising answer. Bill recommended that it made more sense to replace 3-4 window sashes rather than replace all 8 windows on the back side of the house. He said that it would be better to perform a full-frame window replacement for these windows, but he couldn't justify it since replacing the several sashes would be far less expensive. We are very grateful to Bill that he was looking out for our good rather than his. We checked into replacement sash cost, and it will save us at least $5K over replacement windows. We will call Bill the next time we need a service that he offers.

I have an older home and needed to put siding on the house. Justin gave us the bid and he was very helpful in the bid process. I was impressed with the installation of the siding and all the trim work that was done. It has made a dramatic improvement to our home. We have received numerous compliments on the siding from our neighbors. Best of all, No more painting! Thank you Johnson County Siding and Windows!
