Gordon Energy & Drainage

Came out on short notice and diagnosed the source of a leak in my basement - very prompt and professional. They came out the very next morning after I called, which was wonderful because my house is on the market. They came out and did the repair the very next morning, which turned out to be just ahead of another 5 inches of rain. There was absolutely no leakage in the basement after the fix. THANK YOU!!

We were very pleased with the service. Both of the owners came to access the situation and diagnose the problem. We felt they genuinely cared for our water in the basement situation. A couple of days later a person arrived who sealed the leak. After the next rain we noticed a tiny spot that was damp so they came promptly and fixed it with no charge.

They came out and did the service complimentary even though we were past inspection. They would have normally charged a fee but they waived it since my house is just past two years old. They were nice. It was very painless. They had the sump pumps on the trucks and told me what the cost would have been if I had wanted one.

Did a great job. He was clean, professional, and left no mess.The pricing was great. They adjusted our bill due to the fact that we were Angie's List members.

We called 3 contractors who evaluate & submit bids on how to correct our foundation problem. Joe C. from Gordon Energy & Drainage arrived promptly to examine our home. He took about 30 minutes to thoroughly assess the area in question. Joe was very polite & professional during his time with us. He did an outstanding job of explaining the problem, why it occurred and how Gordon Energy would correct the problem. He was very patient with me and answered my questions (many), in writing & to my satisfaction. Joe was genuinely concerned about my anxiety relating to the extend of repairs needed and the outlay of money on my behalf. Gordon Energy & Drainage presented the best solution of the 3 foundation repair companies who submitted bids. On the day of the repairs, Brandon, along with Joe and about 6 other technicians arrived as promised. The crew draped the flooring with waterproof runners to protect it as they worked. Everyone was very polite and concerned about protecting our property. Every crew-member encouraged us to ask questions. The crew worked efficiently and their quality of work mattered. You could tell they were exceptionally experienced at this type of repair. Gordon Energy & Drainage arrived with ample equipment, tools, digging gear & supplies. This contributed to their success on my project. The wall was secured once it was measure to be plumb and square to existing structures. Clean up was acceptably done inside and out. We understood that the final landscaping would be our responsibility. Thanks Brandon & crew; you guys did a great job !! All lot of work was done in 2.5 days. So far, everything is draining as designed. And to Joe C and all others who participated. You all made a stressful & costly project as satisfying & friendly as possible. Thanks!

I had a leak in my basement following the melting of about a foot of snow. The water appeared to be coming in through a floor-wall seam. I called on a Friday morning and was told someone would contact me about scheduling a visit. I left a message on Saturday. I got a message I think on the following Monday asking to call another number to schedule a visit. I asked to schedule a visit by the person who left the message, but he was not free until the following week. But the person I talked to said she could ask somebody else to come out before that. Curtis came out on the afternoon I suggested. He checked the sump pump and outside for the source of the leak. He concluded that it was probably due to landscaping (there was a spot where water was now running toward the house rather than away). He told me what waterproofing would involve and suggested trying landscaping first. I will. Curtis was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. If it turns out that I need some major work done, I will call this company.

We had quotes from 4 different companies and we didn't know a lot about foundation piers when we started. We felt like we received a more comprehensive description of the different types of piers from Gordon. That allowed us to make a more informed decision. The work was done efficiently with no surprises. We knew what to expect and they were prompt in getting us scheduled. The cleanup was great. It was a good experience overall.

Joe, the representative from this company, seemed knowledgeable and helpful. Using a laser level, Joe calculated the direction and degree of slope and settling in our basement. He looked at both the interior and exterior of the structure before recommending 10 steel piers to solve the problem. The cost for ten piers was $12,000. We showed him cracks over windows, settling doors on the inside, and the entire concrete foundation on the outside. In addition to the estimate, he left literature about the type of piering systems they used, which was helpful to review. Also he drew a diagram of placement of the piers (also helpful). Previously we had an engineer evaluate the foundation so I was able to discuss those recommendations (which was for the installation of piers) with this company.

Prompt & friendly. Estimate only. My 'gut' feeling was that this he really didn't care to do this job. Barely took out a tape measure - maybe didn't need to...but just 'eye-balling' the job didn't sell me. I know he sees cracks in basements all the time, but the 'look around' left me feeling a little doubtful - so I went with another company who actually came in a little higher on estimate. Another thing that bothered me was that they would have used machines to dig outside & indicated lawn might be messed up & I had just spent quite a lot on seeding, bringing in dirt, etc. The other company said they would hand dig - so much less torn up.

We have a lot of water flow across our driveway, which floods our backyard with 1/4" of water. This kills all the grass, and washes away any seed ever planted. We installed a drain system which could not handle the amount of water, so we moved to a french drain. This still was not aiding the issue. We had several people inspect the situation, and most only wanted to add on to or upgrade the current french drain system. When Gordon Energy & Drainage arrived, Randy, their outdoor drainage expert, quickly diagnosed the issue by reviewing the grade of our yard. The city easement for the ditch is level, causing pooling of water in the ditch. Also, the gutters from my roof come out onto my driveway, causing the dirt to washout under the driveway. He proposed an underground system based upon the grade of the yard to keep water from touching the driveway. This proposed resolution was completely different than anything anyone else had proposed. I was amazed at Randy's quick assessment of the issue and how well he explained the water flow around our yard to me. Professional, courteous and very very knowledgeable about controlling water flow.

He was very gracious by spending time answering my questions, identifying the issue and not charging for his time. I would recommend this company and Dan because they won't try to sell you on things that you don't need and they are dedicated to helping, even when they may not profit from it.

The crew did a fantastic job. They were there on time each day, work hard all day, cleaned up after they left. Bill Rowe was great to work with. He always communicated dates and progress. Part of the work was removing and replacing concrete - the garage floor, driveway, front stoop and walkway. His company sub contracted this job to Towner Inc. who also did a fantastic job. It was a wonderful experience. Our neighbors have already told us they have 'driveway envy' because it looks so nice now!

The next day after I called, Dan came out and inspected the problem and discussed the solution with me. He also gave me a rough estimate of the cost of the repair. In two days I received the formal proposal. I accepted the proposal and we scheduled the work. They showed up on the agreed upon date and did the work as agreed. I am very pleased with the work. In fact, they were so careful that you could not even see where they had dug up the yard. I would hire them again in a minute.

We have been in a drought and then we had some excessive rain from the hurricane so Gordon came out and gave us an estimate. They really worked with us on a time frame. They were very professional and able to complete the job promptly and efficiently.

I liked Gordon Energy & Drainage. My experience with them was fine. I had them come out and do some basement work and some outside work. I have not seen the effect of what they did yet. The crews showed up for outside work, but they hadn't called us. We were not ready for them, so they had to come back. They came unannounced.

In the midst of very busy foundation repair times, when other companies we contacted would not give us an assessmnet for weeks to months Dan Knappen came to our home on a weekend on the day after we we called and provided expert advice. The service was provided within a week after his assessment. Excellent experience!

The work took 2 days to complete. I cannot express how comfortable the Gordon team made me feel about the process. They did everything in their power to make this project affordable, as piering is pretty darn expensive. The project manager, Bill, made sure to come by to make sure I was happy with the work and to show me exactly how the house was going to be lifted. The entire team was kind, professional, prompt, and supportive. I must have asked them one million questions. They were always patient and explained what they were doing every step of the way. When they finished the job, they told me that I was now a part of the ?Gordon Family.? Truer words could not be spoken. I feel that we were extremely well taken care of. Most importantly, our foundation is in great shape now. All the cracks we had in our walls sealed themselves back together. It was a pretty amazing process. The team even went so far as to re-align our back door (which had shifted with our foundation) with the only screwdriver I could find in my house- one with a plastic pink handle. Talk about going above and beyond!!

The service went great and he is a good man. He is fast and we were very happy with him. I would use him again in the future and I have recommended him to some other people around the neighborhood.
