Brent was timely, knowledgeable and professional. A real gentleman in every sense of the word. We recently purchased a home in Olathe which had a programmable thermostat that we had difficulty using. After finding Gatza Hearing & AC in Angies' List, I gave Brent a call. He suggested I buy the thermostat I wanted and he would install it for a $69.00 service call charge. I bought a thermostat at Home Depot and Brent came out the next day to install it. It turned out I bought the wrong kind of thermostat - I needed one compatible with a heat pump. After giving it a good college try, Brent was unable to make the thermostat work in our application. He agreed, however, to come back the next day and install one that would work. I returned the thermostat to Home Depot and purchased one that was compatible for our application. Brent came out again the next day and installed it, explained how it worked, and answered all of our questions. Brent wanted to charge only the $69.00 he had initially quoted, even though he made two service calls to our house because of my mistake. We insisted on him taking $100.00 for the two service calls and he reluctantly agreed. I intend to use Brent for all of my hearing and air conditioning needs from here out. He is a real pleasure to do business with.

Brent is always prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He has been doing our spring and fall maintenance check-up for several years. This time he found a leak in the coil and it was loosing freon. He did not immediately replace the coil, which would have been very expensive, but instead explained all my options and gave me the pros and cons of each. I appreciate a service person that doesn't jump right in to make a sale but gives the customer choices and let's them decide. I've had no additional problems since his repair.

Always goes well. Gatza came out on Father's Day when our air conditioner stopped working. He is here nearly an hour after I call. We have had work performed by Gatza in our old house around 5 years ago plus our current house. I wouldn't use anyone else. Brent Gatza is reliable and a good honest person. You would be crazy not to call his company if something needs to be serviced with your AC/heater.

So far it's been great. I have had no issues. They are timely and friendly. The work has been orderly. They have cleaned up 100% of the time. They gives me a heads up on when they will arrive. They have met their time predictions.

It was great. They did a good job. They did everything on time. Scheduling went well. They were busy and they came 3 or 4 days after I called but it was hot so I understood that. They cleaned up when they were finished.

He doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. He is extremely responsive. I've been using him for about 4 years.

We've used Gatza's preventative maintenance services for about 10 years now, in 2 different homes we lived in. Every spring, he comes to tune up our air conditioner and does a very thorough inspection. Every fall, he does the same for our heater. Installs new filters each time. For one visit, we only pay the price of the filter ($35), and the other time we pay for the filter and service ($140). He sends me a postcard in the mail when its time to schedule, and if I still forget and not call, he'll call me. I appreciate that! The summer of 2011, our A/C went out. We had two kids under the age of 3 at that time. I called Brent at like 9:00pm, and he graciously walked us through some troubleshooting on the phone. He was over the very next day to look at things himself. We knew we'd need to replace our home's unit at some point, and the time had come. Brent gave us several choices for new units so we weren't having to research it ourselves. He had our new unit installed the same day. Our family wasn't inconvenienced by this whatsoever, all in thanks to Brent. The entire cost for our new unit and everything Brent did was $3900. Brent is conscientious of my time. I can leave him a house key for the day he comes and I trust that process completely. Days that I'm home and I get to see him, he'll never consume my time with unnecessary chatter unless I start asking questions or want to chat. In all our years using him, he's NEVER had to reschedule an appointment, forgotten, or anything of the sort. They don't come any better than Brent. This is a hard working, soft-spoken, polite, professional, and extremely talented guy. He's good at what he does, is responsible, and I can't recommend him enough!

They showed up exactly when they said they would - even gave me a call when he was on his way. Very thorough check of the system. Pointing out one thing that will need replacing in the future. Very professional.

After I purchased the Big Deal, the company emailed me and told me they weren't willing to honor it because I lived too far away. I emailed them back because their profile specifically stated that they WERE able to service my area. They told me that while they normally service my area, it wasn't worth their time because it was a discounted Big Deal. I ended up contacting Angie's List for a refund.

Gatza is an excellent service provider. I've lived in this house 13 years and thought I had a problem with my Thermostat. Gatza checked it out and found a closed damper was the problem. My house was warmer this year than any other. You will not be disappointed if you use Gatza.

Brent came out and gave a reasonable estimate on fixing this. He did the repair within the allotted time he said it would take. He is professional and very easy to work with. Would definitely use his services again.

I've used Brent Gatza's services for several years. He is always prompt at my door right at the appointment time. He puts shoe covers over his shoes before entering to protect my carpet. If he has to go out to his truck, he takes them off and puts them back on when he returns. He is knowledgeable, friendly, gets right to work, doesn't overcharge, and is a clean cut man. He is trustworthy and can be left alone in the basement to do his work. If you live alone, you can feel safe having him in your home. I highly recommend him and his professional work ethics.

He came out right away, which was important, because our furnace didn't work. He was very fast. He also offered a better product, a better warranty, and a better price than the other company I had dealt with.
