Five Star Energy Solutions

We met this company at the Overland Park Home and Garden Show. They offered a free energy audit to people visiting their booth at the show. We signed up and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday at 2:00pm. About noon on Tuesday, I received a phone call from the Scheduling Manager verifying that both my husband and I would be present (we had not been informed that we would need to both be present at the time of scheduling). Since my husband works during the day, it was obvious that 2:00pm would not work. When asked why we both needed to be present, the Manager indicated that they wanted the opportunity to review the findings with both of us and to discuss the insulation they offered. I explained that we wanted the audit Wand that they should be aware that we normally didn't make major commitments during someone's first visit/bid. We then discussed the size of our home and recent improvements made to it. We agreed that his employee would be at our home at 6:30pm and that both my husband and I would be available. We changed our plans, scheduled early dinner and were ready at 6:30pm. At 7:15pm I called the Manager to indicate that his person hadn't show up and hadn't called. He acted surprised, indicated that he'd been told that we had cancelled. Told him that wasn't true. He offered to call his person and check and called me back. He did call back and offer to reschedule - but when I declined and indicated that we would pass on the audit he readily accepted. Seemed more interested in "selling" the insulation than in providing the service promised.
