Description of Work: Replaced deck. From the bidding process through the completion of the deck Greg and his crew were great to work with. When the old deck was removed we found some erosion around the foundation and Greg made a couple of phone calls and the next thing we knew, dirt was delivered and his crew was busy grading the area to prevent water intrusion into the basement. The quality of the work, price and service was a great experience. Would definitely use him again.

Description of Work: Tore out deck and removed debris. ALso provided invaluable advice and assistance regarding other projects. Already have them scheduled for wood rot repair as well as misc inside projects. Professional and personal, very fair and honest.

 + 0 moreGreg S overran our contract by $100,000 (40%) and 2 months late when he abandoned job without consult. Greg S. Denied all warranty work (4 major plumbing failures, sewage backup over entire basement, plus code violations.) 10 months later Greg S. added $25,000 invoice claiming "100% performance" and promptly sued me, wife, and mother separately (case 03CV06713) pre-empting arbitration mandate. Greg withheld and denied complete audit for 6 years, and cost me $23,000 more. Both arbitration and court case ruled against Deckscapes in our favor. We OWED NOTHING. $0.00. Deckscapes OWES US $9,000 but Deckscapes refuses to pay the court ordered amount. Irresponsible in project execution, despicable conduct in aftermath. Horrible, gut-wrenching experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Description of Work: Add a 2 story addition on crawl space on the rear of parent's existing home, and renovated kitchen and baths. Approx 1,600 sq ft living space add-on.

 + -1 moreI gave them my drawing and specifications of what I wanted and they provided an estimate. Once the project was agreed, they started on time, brought in outside experts when necessary (i.e., HVAC), took extra steps to ensure a first rate job, completed the project on time and on budget.

 + -1 moreTHIS COMPANY HAD DONE A NICE JOB ON A REMODEL FOR OUR NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE, SO WE WERE REFERRED BY HER. A REPRESENTATIVE ARRIVED WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS TO PROVIDE A FREE ESTIMATE. WE OKAYED THE WORK SEVERAL DAYS LATER. WE NEVER HEARD BACK FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. WE THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST BACKED UP WITH LARGER JOBS. FINALLY WE CALLED TO DETERMINE WHERE WE WERE ON THE SCHEDULE. APPARENTLY THE WORK ORDER HAD BEEN MISPLACED. ALTHOUGH EXCUSES WERE MADE, THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS APOLOGETIC. A WORKMAN ARRIVED WITHIN A FEW DAYS. THE WORKMAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A FANTASTIC JOB PERFORMING THE REPAIR. THE WORKSMANSHIP AND MATERIALS WERE FIRST RATE. THE FINAL COST WAS ABOUT $150 LESS THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. THE WORK AREA WAS LEFT CLEAN. I FEEL THE SCHEDULING PROBLEM WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE, BUT GIVING THE NUMEROUS EXCUSES WAS UNNECESSARY. GRADE FOR RESPONSIVENESS WAS MARKED DOWN ONE NOTCH FOR THE MISTAKE AND ANOTHER FOR THE EXCUSES
