D & K WINDOW CLEANING

I have a steep roof and the guy who cleaned my gutters 'walked the roof' to do the job. Absolutely no safety equipment. The first good rain after the gutters were 'cleaned' resulted in a gutter overflow. It appears they do nothing to clean the down-spouts other than bang on them to clear any loose debris. Left a mess on the sidewalk and trampled my flowers. A complete waste of money. I won't be calling these guys again.

I called Mr. Bohrn earlier in the week to get a bid for cleaning the gutters. Apparently he was too busy to come by, so he quoted $125.00 without ever seeing my home. A couple of days later he shows up unannounced and attempts to get our business by undercutting the company we hired to clean the gutters. This is a very poor way to do business and I would NOT recommend D & K Window Cleaning nor Mr. Borhn to anyone for any type of work they do.

I'm another customer who got Doug on the first ring, and had his workers out two hours later. I was amazed at how quickly they responded... if only all my other contractor work were this fast and professional! We'll definitely be calling him again.

D&K was very prompt. They gave me a quote the day after I called, and came out and performed the work within 2 days. Their work was neat and fast, and they replaced all of my gutter nails.

They came out the next day after I called, cleaned all of my gutters and cleaned up after their job. They were very prompt and reasonably priced, very friendly and helpful. Most of all, they came when they said they would!

When Doug and his crew arrived at the rental home they had their work cut out for them. Doug even went to the hardware store to get additional cleaning supplies and did more then just powerwash. This home required lots of scrubbing and they did it without any question. I called and Doug and his crew were able to work our job in immediately. We were very pleased that he was able to respond quickly. Not knowing what is reasonable from a pricing perspective (never having power washing done) we were please with the end result.

Responded quickly, the owner cam out the day the work was done. They sent several people to do the work - so they were done in no time. On time, pleasurable to work with. Ended up coming back to clean my neighbors windows and did the neighbors gutters as well. It was a great experience for the whole neighborhood! Everyone has been extremely pleased.

Company owner, Doug Bohrn, worked alone and accomplished all in 5 1/2 hours. Voluntarily washed nine new windows which were installed two weeks earlier. Worked well and efficiently. Nice to deal with.

THEY NEVER RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS.

THE TWO WINDOW CLEANERS ARRIVED 1 1/2 HOURS LATE. I THINK THEY TRIED TO MAKE UP TIME THE REST OF THE DAY. WHEN WE PUT DOWN THE STORM WINDOWS THIS FALL WE DISCOVERED THE SCREENS HAD BEEN REPLACED IMPROPERLY. IT TOOK A LONG TIME TO FIX THEM.

Estimate was way out of line compared to the company that finally did the job which was not an Angie recommended company. D&K's estimate was for $200.00 while the company recommended by a friend was $75.00.

They cleaned all the gutters on my two-story house in less than an hour (there were three of them). Great job. Did it the same day I called, although they said they'd be over within an hour and it was more like two. Also very friendly and professional.

EXCELLENT JOB AND REASONABLY PRICED. ITEMS AND FURNITURE INSIDE WERE GENTLY MOVED AND WINDOWS WERE WELL CLEANED INSIDE AND OUT. NO MESS LEFT BEHIND. WELL DONE!

ALTHOUGH GETTING GUTTERS CLEANED IS A NECESSARY BUT UNGRATIFYING JOB, SINCE IT'S HARD TO SEE SHINEY CLEAN GUTTERS, WE BELIEVE D & K WINDOW CLEANING, DID A TERRIFIC JOB ON OUR GUTTERS THAT WE HADN'T HAD CLEANED IN SEVERAL YEARS. THEY DID MORE THAN WE ASKED AT THE AGREED UPON PRICE.

THE WINDOWS WERE WELL CLEAN. NO DRYING SPOTS WERE LEFT. THE SCREENS WERE WIPED DOWN WELL. THE WINDOWSILLS WERE NOT A HIGH PRIORITY, BUT I WAS INFORMED THEY WOULD ONLY BE WIPED OFF UNLESS OTHERWISE STIPULATED. THEY WERE ALL VERY POLITE AND CONSIDERATE. DOUGLAS BOHRN, THE OWNER, WANTED TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD DONE A GOOD JOB. THEY WERE ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATE, HOWEVER HE CALLED TO ADVISE THAT THEY WERE RUNNING BEHIND. I WAS HAPPY WITH THE FINAL RESULTS. I RECEIVED A ONSITE ESTIMATE AND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE PRICE QUOTED, COMPARATIVELY SPEAKING.

DOUG ANSWERED MY PHONE CALLS DIRECTLY EVERYTIME I CALLED. THE WORKERS WERE DELAYED THE DAY OF THE JOB, BUT CALLED TO ADVISE, AND MET THE NEW TIME THAT I ACCEPTED. I HAD TO CALL THEM OUT A SECOND DAY FOR SOME UNSOLVED PROBLEMS, BUT THEY ARRIVED WITHOUT COMPLAINT AND DID THE JOB TO MY SATISFACTION WITHOUT UPPING THE PRICE. OVERALL IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

I NOTICED THAT D&K IS ONE OF THE TOP RATED WINDOW CLEANING SERVICES ON ANGIE'S LIST AND GAVE THEM A TRY. I CALLED THEM ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND A SERVICE PERSON WAS AT MY HOME AT 8:30 AM THE VERY NEXT MORNING. AMAZING. VERY GOOD WORK.

I CALLED FOR GUTTER CLEANING SERVICE AND LEFT A VOICE MAIL MESSAGE DESCRIBING THE WORK I NEEDED, WHERE I LIVE, AND LEFT DAY AND EVENING PHONE NUMBERS. I MADE SURE TO SAY THAT I GOT THE COMPANY NAME FROM ANGIE'S LIST. NO ONE HAS RETURNED MY CALL.

WE ARE REPEAT CUSTOMERS. CALLED DOUG AGAIN THIS YEAR FOR ANOTHER WINDOW CLEANING. TWO CLEANERS ARRIVED THIS TIME (LAST YEAR IT WAS ONE) AND THE WORK WAS DONE EVEN QUICKER THAN BEFORE. THE TEAM WAS ON-TIME AND EFFICIENT. DOUG CAME BY AT THE END TO INSPECT THE WORK. WE HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. PRICING SEEMS WITHIN RANGE OF OTHER COMPANIES.

HANDYMAN. THEY HAVE DONE PRESSURE WASHING AND WINDOW CLEANING FOR ME. THEY WERE READY AND WILLING TO DO ALL KINDS OF WORK AT A REASONABLE PRICE AND VERY FLEXIBLE IN SCHEDULING.

DOUG WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND REASONABLY PRICED.

WHEN I CALLED D&K WINDOW CLEANING I FULLY EXPECTED TO GET AN ANSWERING MACHINE AND HOPED TO GET A RETURN CALL SOON. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN MY CALL ACTUALLY RANG THROUGH TO A REAL LIVE PERSON! IT WAS DOUG BOHM HIMSELF. HE ASKED WHERE I LIVED AND TOLD ME HE COULD BE OUT LATER THAT DAY AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. IF I LIKED THE ESTIMATE, HE SAID THE WORK COULD BE DONE THAT AFTERNOON. AFTER GETTING THE MORE THAN FAIR ESTIMATE OF 150.00 I TOLD THEM TO PROCEED WITH THE JOB. THE TWO PEOPLE DOING THE WORK WERE EFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. I WILL DEFINITELY HIRE THEM AGAIN NEXT YEAR!

ON THE APPOINTED DAY (A SATURDAY) THE WINDOW CLEANER DID NOT SHOW UP AT THE AGREED TIME AND I HAD CONSIDERABLE TROUBLE RAISING SOMEONE ON THE PHONE TO ASCERTAIN IF HE WAS INDEED GOING TO DO THE WORK THAT DAY. AFTER SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND AN HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTE WAIT, BILLY DID ARRIVE, AND PROVED WORTH THE TROUBLE. HE DID A REALLY NICE JOB ON THE WINDOWS AND SOMEHOW MANAGED TO BARELY MOVE ANY FURNITURE AND LEAVE BUT A DROP OR TWO ON FLOORS AND WINDOW SILLS. I WILL CERTAINLY USE THIS COMPANY THE NEXT TIME.

THEY WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH, FRIENDLY, ARRIVED ON TIME AND STAYED UNTIL JOBS WERE FINISHED.
